The Porsche Design Chronograph 911 Turbo 50 Years is a 1,974-piece automatic chronograph made to accompany the 911 Turbo 50 Years special model—and Porsche says it is reserved exclusively for that car’s owners. What is the Chronograph 911 Turbo 50 Years?
It is Porsche Design’s vehicle-linked watch for the 911 Turbo 50 Years special model, rather than a general anniversary watch available to every buyer. Porsche Shop lists a production run of 1,974 and says the watch is “reserved exclusively for future owners” of the car. The case back carries the corresponding vehicle’s limited-edition number. The anniversary number reflects 1974, the year Porsche introduced the original 911 Turbo. The limited number and owner restriction are distinct: the 1,974 figure describes the watch run, while eligibility is tied to ownership of the associated special-model car.
Can you buy it without the 911 Turbo 50 Years?
Porsche’s stated condition is that the Chronograph 911 Turbo 50 Years is reserved for buyers of the 911 Turbo 50 Years special model. Porsche’s August 2024 release likewise said the watch was exclusively available to buyers of that car. This is a substantive eligibility restriction, not simply a design association. Original price and availability
Porsche Design announced an original recommended retail price of €11,950 for the Chronograph 911 Turbo 50 Years and its Heritage Design Edition, with orders opening on 16 August 2024 through Porsche centers. Porsche said both were exclusive to buyers of the 911 Turbo 50 Years. That figure is the launch RRP reported in August 2024, not a current quote; the cited material does not establish current stock, resale prices, or a present-day offer. [c002]
How it differs from the Chronograph 1 – 50 Years 911 Turbo Edition
The names are similar, but these are separate Porsche Design watches with different movements, straps, production runs, and purchase conditions. The Chronograph 1 edition is not the owner-exclusive Chronograph 911 Turbo 50 Years.
