The 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans is over. The race ran from June 14 to June 15, 2025. If you want to watch it now, the best currently verified option is the official FIA WEC full-race replay on YouTube.
During the 2025 U.S. broadcast, Max Standard or Premium was the most complete no-cable option, carrying practice, qualifying, Hyperpole, warm-up and the race. MotorTrend was the alternative for watching the full 24-hour race through a participating live-TV streaming service. The FIA WEC TV pass was not a usable live-video option in the United States or Canada because of geoblocking.
Important: The service and pricing information below describes the historical 2025 U.S. broadcast arrangement. It is not a current live-event schedule. Max was later rebranded as HBO Max, and streaming channel lineups can change.

Full Race | 24 Hours of Le Mans 2025 — FIA WEC
The replay was published by the verified FIA WEC channel on December 13, 2025. Online video rights can change, so the video may eventually be removed or become unavailable. The official 2025 event page also retains race information and replay links.
FIA WEC’s standard terms say that race replays sold through FIA WEC TV are generally available for only three weeks after an event. That is why the official YouTube upload is the more useful replay route for the 2025 race.
What the U.S. broadcast included in 2025
The U.S. rights split made Max the better choice for the complete event weekend and MotorTrend the simpler choice for the race itself.
| Coverage | 2025 U.S. service | What it included |
|---|---|---|
| Free Practice | Max | Live and on demand |
| Qualifying | Max | Live and on demand |
| Hyperpole | Max | Live and on demand |
| Warm-up | Max | Live |
| Full 24-hour race | Max and MotorTrend | Live |
| Pre- and post-race coverage | Max | Included in Max’s official event coverage |
| FIA WEC TV live pass | Not available for live video in the U.S. | Geoblocked because of U.S. broadcast rights |
The distinction matters. “Full coverage” could mean the full race, or it could mean every session from practice through the checkered flag. In 2025, Max was the option that covered the broader weekend. MotorTrend’s U.S. listing covered the full race but did not offer the same complete practice-and-qualifying package.
Best no-cable option for the full event: Max
Which Max plan was required?
For the 2025 Le Mans broadcast, the reliable Max choices were:
- Standard: $16.99 per month or $169.99 per year during the 2025 event period.
- Premium: $20.99 per month or $209.99 per year during the 2025 event period.
Basic with Ads cost $9.99 per month at the time, but it was not the correct tier to recommend for the live sports coverage. Max announced on February 26, 2025, that live sports would remain included with Standard and Premium rather than moving into the previously planned separate B/R Sports Add-On. The Warner Bros. Discovery announcement and Max plan guidance document that arrangement.
Those prices are historical. They should not be confused with current HBO Max pricing.
What Max showed
Max was the best standalone U.S. streaming choice if you wanted to follow the whole event. Its 2025 coverage included:

- LMGT3/LMP2 Hyperpole
- Hypercar Hyperpole
- Saturday warm-up
- The full 24-hour race
- Pre-race and post-race programming
- On-demand access to the listed sessions
You did not need a traditional cable or satellite subscription. You needed a U.S. Max account on Standard or Premium, an internet connection and a supported browser or app on your television, streaming device, phone, tablet or game console.
How to find the event in Max
- Open Max’s U.S. subscription page and select Standard or Premium.
- Create a Max account or sign in to an existing account.
- Install the Max app on your smart TV, streaming stick, game console, phone or tablet, or use Max in a supported browser.
- Search for “Le Mans”. The event may not appear under the exact same label in the live schedule and replay library.
- Open the live event or the relevant session listing.
- For an on-demand session, check the event page, sports area or replay library rather than assuming that the original live listing remains available.
Max’s menus and event labels can change. Searching for “Le Mans” is usually more useful than relying only on a generic FIA WEC category.
Max advantages and limitations
Advantages
- One standalone subscription covered the full 2025 event weekend.
- No cable login was required.
- Practice, qualifying, Hyperpole and race coverage were available live and, where listed, on demand.
- Standard was less expensive than Premium and was sufficient for the event’s sports eligibility.
Limitations
- Basic with Ads was not the safe choice for the 2025 Le Mans broadcast.
- Premium’s 4K capability did not guarantee that the Le Mans live feed was distributed in 4K.
- Do not assume the race was uninterrupted or commercial-free; Max’s live sports presentation can follow different rules from ordinary on-demand programming.
- The service’s current branding, pricing and menus may differ because Max later became HBO Max.
Watch only the race through MotorTrend without cable
MotorTrend was the U.S. linear broadcaster for the complete 24-hour race. If you did not need practice, qualifying, Hyperpole or warm-up, a live-TV streaming service carrying the MotorTrend TV linear channel was the relevant alternative.
This is different from a MotorTrend digital product, a MotorTrend on-demand program, or a free MotorTrend-branded FAST channel. Before subscribing, confirm that the service carries the live MotorTrend channel and that its guide shows the Le Mans race window.

YouTube TV
YouTube TV’s MotorTrend channel page listed MotorTrend as part of its no-contract live-TV service. Enter your ZIP code and verify the channel before subscribing. Channel lineups can vary by location and change over time.
DIRECTV
DIRECTV’s MotorTrend listing and its streaming-package information identify MotorTrend in certain streaming packages, including the MySports Extra mini-pack. Package names, prices and eligibility shown today should not be treated as the prices or exact package structure from June 2025. Check the lineup and final price at checkout.
Philo: a historical 2025 option, not a current recommendation
Contemporary June 2025 coverage described Philo as a budget internet-TV option carrying MotorTrend, with a seven-day trial and a price of approximately $28 per month at that time. That was a time-sensitive recommendation.
Philo’s current official lineup no longer lists the old MotorTrend linear channel under that name. Its current MotorTrend landing page routes viewers to Discovery Turbo, and its current channel list should be checked before making any purchase. Philo can therefore be mentioned as a 2025-era option, but it should not be presented as a current MotorTrend solution without verifying the live lineup.

MotorTrend streaming trade-offs
- Good for: viewers who wanted the full race and already had a provider carrying MotorTrend.
- Less suitable for: viewers who wanted every practice and qualifying session.
- Potential problem: a provider may list a generic WEC program, a regional feed, a MotorTrend FAST channel or on-demand content instead of the live linear MotorTrend TV broadcast.
Historical 2025 U.S. schedule
All times below are Eastern Time and describe the 2025 event. The entries identify session starts or coverage beginnings, not necessarily the complete transmission window. The official broadcast PDF sometimes listed longer windows than the session start times shown here.

|---|---|---|
| Wednesday, June 11 | Free Practice 1 | 8:00 a.m. |
| Wednesday, June 11 | LMP2/LMGT3 qualifying | 12:45 p.m. |
| Wednesday, June 11 | Hypercar qualifying | 1:30 p.m. |
| Wednesday, June 11 | Free Practice 2 | 4:00 p.m. |
| Thursday, June 12 | Free Practice 3 | 8:45 a.m. |
| Thursday, June 12 | LMGT3/LMP2 Hyperpole sessions | From 2:00 p.m. |
| Thursday, June 12 | Hypercar Hyperpole sessions | From 3:05 p.m. |
| Thursday, June 12 | Free Practice 4 | 5:00 p.m. |
| Saturday, June 14 | Warm-up | 6:00 a.m. |
| Saturday, June 14 | Race start | 10:00 a.m. |
| Sunday, June 15 | Race finish | 10:00 a.m. |
When did the race start in each U.S. time zone?
- Eastern: 10:00 a.m.
- Central: 9:00 a.m.
- Mountain: 8:00 a.m.
- Pacific: 7:00 a.m.
The start was 4:00 p.m. local time in France. The checkered flag was expected at approximately 10:00 a.m. Eastern on Sunday, June 15. Max’s broader pre-race broadcast began at approximately 9:00 a.m. Eastern, so do not confuse the pre-race show with the race start itself.
Why the FIA WEC TV pass did not work in the U.S.
FIA WEC TV is the championship’s official premium streaming service in territories where its live video rights are available. It was not a universal solution for Le Mans in 2025.
The official 2025 FIA WEC viewing guide stated that live video was geoblocked in the United States and Canada because of local broadcast agreements. In the U.S., those rights belonged to Max for the broader event coverage and MotorTrend for the full race.

Use Max or a U.S. live-TV service that verifies MotorTrend carriage. A subscription purchased in one country is not automatically interchangeable with a subscription or rights arrangement in another.
International viewing notes
The U.S. instructions do not apply everywhere. The 2025 distribution document listed different broadcasters by territory:
- France: L’Équipe and L’Équipe.fr carried free-to-view race coverage in two parts; Eurosport carried the broader session schedule.
- United Kingdom: TNT Sports and Discovery+ were primary options, with Quest carrying portions of the race.
- Canada: CTV Speed carried the race, while Crave offered an on-demand option according to the official distribution document.
- Australia: Stan Sport carried practice, qualifying, Hyperpole, warm-up and the race.
- Other countries: FIA WEC TV availability depended on local rights and geoblocking.
A U.S. Max account, a Canadian Crave subscription and a European FIA WEC TV pass should not be assumed to work across borders.
Troubleshooting missing streams and subscription problems
Max displays an upgrade prompt
The most likely explanation is that the account is on Basic with Ads or that a third-party provider-billed subscription does not include the required sports access.

- Open the Max profile menu.
- Select Subscription.
- Check the current plan and identify who bills the account.
- Upgrade to Standard or Premium through the appropriate billing provider.
- Sign out and back in if the sports section does not update immediately.
- Search for “Le Mans” again.
Max’s support documentation explains where to view subscription details and notes that plan changes may need to be handled by the third-party provider that bills the account.
The event is missing from Max
- Search for Le Mans, not only FIA WEC.
- Check both the live sports schedule and the event’s replay area.
- Confirm that the account is signed into the U.S. service and that the subscription is Standard or Premium.
- Update the app or try a supported web browser.
- Remember that the live listing disappears after an event; a replay may be filed separately.
FIA WEC TV says the race is unavailable
That is consistent with the 2025 U.S. and Canadian rights restrictions. Do not treat the message as proof that you bought the wrong event or need a more expensive FIA WEC pass. Switch to the applicable local broadcaster—in the 2025 U.S. arrangement, Max or a service carrying MotorTrend.
A provider lists MotorTrend, but the race is not there
Check the following before subscribing or assuming the channel is missing:
- Does the listing say live MotorTrend, rather than a MotorTrend-branded on-demand or FAST channel?
- Does the guide show the June 14–15, 2025 Le Mans race window?
- Is MotorTrend included in your exact package and ZIP-code area?
- Is the listing a generic program such as “WEC 2025 FIA Races” rather than the event title?
- Has the channel been renamed or replaced since the race?
You are watching at the wrong time
The race itself began at 10:00 a.m. Eastern on Saturday, June 14, 2025. The broadcast could have opened earlier for grid, ceremony and pre-race coverage. Use the time-zone list above rather than assuming that the first program in the stream was the race start.
What changed in later coverage?
Do not silently carry the 2025 broadcaster information into a future Le Mans guide. The official 2026 viewing guide lists truTV and HBO Max for the U.S., rather than the 2025 MotorTrend/Max arrangement. Rights, channel names, subscription tiers and replay availability can all change between races.
Likewise, the 2025 Max name may be unfamiliar to readers who now see HBO Max. The historical recommendation was for the service called Max during the 2025 event.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the 2025 24 Hours of Le Mans still live?

Did Max Basic with Ads include the 2025 Le Mans race?
Basic with Ads was not the reliable tier for the 2025 live sports coverage. The correct Max tiers were Standard or Premium. Max’s plan rules and branding may be different now.
Did I need the B/R Sports Add-On for Le Mans?
No. Older coverage referred to a planned paid B/R Sports Add-On, but Warner Bros. Discovery announced in February 2025 that live sports would remain included with Standard and Premium instead of proceeding in that form.
Did MotorTrend show practice and qualifying?
MotorTrend’s 2025 U.S. listing covered the full 24-hour race. Max was the more complete option because its official event coverage included practice, qualifying, Hyperpole, warm-up and the race.
Could viewers in the United States use FIA WEC TV?
Not for live video under the 2025 U.S. rights arrangement. FIA WEC TV was geoblocked in the United States and Canada. U.S. viewers needed Max or a participating live-TV provider carrying MotorTrend.

Where can I watch the complete 2025 race replay?
Use the official FIA WEC full-race replay on YouTube. FIA WEC TV’s normal replay terms generally limited purchased race replays to three weeks after the event, so the YouTube upload is the more practical current option.
Is the 2026 Le Mans broadcast the same as the 2025 broadcast?
No. The official 2026 guide lists truTV and HBO Max for the U.S., while the 2025 arrangement used Max and MotorTrend. Always check the guide for the specific race year.
The Bottom Line
For the 2025 race weekend, choose Max Standard if you wanted every session without cable, or a live-TV service carrying MotorTrend if you only needed the full race. For watching the event now, start with the official FIA WEC YouTube replay. Do not buy an FIA WEC TV pass from the U.S. without checking territorial restrictions, and do not assume the 2025 rights arrangement applies to 2026 or later races.
