The free access was a UK arrangement, not a worldwide free stream. Channel 4’s service was intended for UK viewers and was region-restricted. A television subscription or streaming setup in another country did not automatically provide legal access to the UK service. Lando Norris won his home race, with Oscar Piastri classified second, Nico Hulkenberg third and Lewis Hamilton fourth. Watching Channel 4 on a TV
For the original UK broadcast, viewers could use a compatible television, streaming box or stick, or the Channel 4 app on a supported platform. A contemporary guide listed Amazon Fire among the platforms on which Channel 4 was available, so an Amazon Fire TV Stick could have been a practical way to watch the app on a compatible television.
