Transfer from a boot, cover, or another object can sometimes sit on top of the clear coat and look worse than it is. Cleaning may remove that transfer without abrasion. What a scratch remover can and cannot do
A micro-abrasive compound works, when it works at all, by making a very small change to the upper surface so that a fine mark is less visible. It cannot replace paint, clear coat, or missing plastic.
