The most complete way to follow the Bathurst 1000 is to run the official Supercars live-timing feed alongside a regional video broadcast. Timing shows lap, position and session data; television or streaming shows the incidents, pit work and weather that explain why the numbers move. The Supercars app adds mobile timing and live-feed alerts, while enhanced RaceHQ timing and telemetry are described as MySupercars+ features.
The 2026 Repco Bathurst 1000 ran from October 8 to 11, 2026, and is no longer live. Use the workflow below for a replay or for the next running, but recheck the current event schedule, broadcast rights and membership entitlements because all three can change.

What you need to follow the race properly
A single screen rarely answers every question during an endurance race. The timing service tells you what has happened; video and commentary help establish why it happened. Set up at least one official timing route and one coverage route before the first session.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems| Route | What it provides | Access or regional qualification | Best use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Supercars website live timing | The event page labels Live Insight, Live Timing and Live Feed. | The 2026 event page required a MySupercars sign-up or login. | A desktop reference for laps, positions and official updates. |
| Supercars app | Live timing and live-feed updates from every session; the event guide also describes live race data and real-time insights. | Mobile availability and current features should be checked in the app listing and event guide for the relevant season. | Following the race away from a television or receiving mobile updates. |
| MySupercars+ | Enhanced RaceHQ live timing and telemetry; the event guide also lists in-depth analysis and race radio. | Membership features and prices are subject to change. The 2026 descriptions do not establish a complete entitlement or current price list. | Understanding pace, gaps and strategy in more detail. |
| Australian broadcast routes | Foxtel and Kayo, plus Seven and 7plus coverage of marquee events including Bathurst, according to Supercars’ 2026 information. | Australian availability and exact session windows depend on the current guide and local listings. | Live pictures, commentary, pit-lane context and replays. |
| New Zealand route | Sky Sport. | New Zealand rights; confirm the current schedule. | Live or scheduled video coverage in New Zealand. |
| International route | SuperView. | Intended for international viewers; availability can vary by territory. | Video coverage where domestic rights do not apply. |
Do not treat a timing account as a video subscription, or a video broadcast as a substitute for detailed timing. They are different layers of coverage and work best together.

Set up official live timing before a session
- Open the current Supercars event timing page. Select the Bathurst 1000 event rather than a generic series page so the displayed session, labels and feed belong to the correct meeting.
- Create or sign in to MySupercars. The 2026 Bathurst timing page required registration or login for its content. Complete this before the race morning; doing it during a red flag is an unnecessary failure point.
- Choose the timing view. Look for the page’s Live Insight, Live Timing and Live Feed functions. Keep the main timing view visible and open the feed in another tab if your screen allows it.
- Confirm the session label. Practice, qualifying, warm-up and the race use different timing contexts. A result from an earlier session is not a live race position.
- Check that updates are moving. A current lap counter, changing sector or lap information and new feed entries indicate that the page is receiving updates. If the page is static, refresh once and check your connection before assuming the race has stopped.
- Keep the official schedule nearby. Session start times are event-specific. The 2026 broadcast guide used Australian Eastern Daylight Time (AEDT) and advised viewers to check local guides, so convert the published time to your own location.
The website is the clearest choice when you want a large timing table. It is also useful as a second source when a broadcast graphic lags or briefly disappears.
Use the Supercars app for a mobile race feed
The 2026 event guide describes the Supercars app as providing live timing and live-feed updates from every session. It is the practical choice when you are not sitting at a computer, but it should still be configured before the event.
- Install or update the official Supercars app and sign in if the current version requests an account.
- Open the Bathurst event or series section and verify that the selected session is the race, not a previous practice or qualifying session.
- Enable only the alerts you want. A full set of notifications can become distracting during a long race; timing and major feed updates are usually more useful than every minor message.
- Use Wi-Fi or a reliable mobile connection, and keep the phone charged. Live timing consumes less data than video, but a dead battery ends the feed regardless of its quality.
- When a notification conflicts with the on-screen timing table, treat the current official timing page as the reference and allow for update delay.
The app’s live feed is particularly useful for pit-stop, incident and session-status messages when the television picture is focused elsewhere. It does not replace video if you need to see what caused a delay.

Choose video coverage by location
Broadcast rights are regional, so there is no single provider that can be presented as globally available. Supercars’ 2026 schedule information identifies the following routes:
- Australia: Foxtel and Kayo are listed for Australian viewers. Seven and 7plus are listed for live coverage of marquee events, including Bathurst.
- New Zealand: Sky Sport is the named route.
- Other territories: SuperView is identified for international viewers.
Use the current event’s broadcast guide and your local listings to confirm which sessions are live, delayed or available on demand. Rights can differ between the main race and support sessions. A service listed for a marquee event may not carry every practice or qualifying segment.

Video versus timing-only coverage
| If your priority is… | Start with… | Then add… |
|---|---|---|
| Knowing the running order while multitasking | Website timing or the app | Notifications or radio commentary |
| Seeing crashes, weather and pit work | Your regional video broadcaster | Official timing to verify gaps and laps |
| Understanding why a car gained or lost places | Video and commentary | RaceHQ timing, telemetry or the live feed |
| Following from outside Australia or New Zealand | The international route listed for your territory | The official timing page, if the video feed has limited data |
What the timing screen tells you
Timing is most valuable when you read it as a sequence rather than as a single position number. During a long race, a car can appear to lose places simply because rivals have completed a stop while it has not, or gain places because those rivals are in pit lane. The live feed and video help distinguish a temporary order from a genuine change in race performance.
Position and lap information
Start with the lap counter and the car’s listed position. Ask whether every car has completed the same number of laps. If not, the displayed order may be shaped by pit cycles rather than by who is actually ahead after stops are balanced.
Gaps and intervals
A gap to the car ahead measures the distance or time separating two competitors; an interval to the next car behind answers a different question. Watch both when available. A shrinking gap suggests pressure, but a sudden jump can reflect a pit entry, a safety interruption or a timing-system update rather than a dramatic pace change.
Sector and lap trends
One fast lap is less informative than a run of laps. Compare several consecutive laps, and account for traffic, yellow-flag conditions and whether the car is approaching or leaving a pit stop. If the timing view offers telemetry or additional RaceHQ data, use those tools to add context rather than treating every displayed value as a strategy instruction.
Feed messages
Live-feed entries can explain a timing change: a pit-lane visit, a session interruption, a penalty notice or a restart. Read the message with the timestamp and session label. An old feed item can remain visible after the situation has changed.

How to read strategy while the race is unfolding
Strategy is the explanation behind the order, not a second ranking list. During a Bathurst 1000 stint, follow three questions: who has stopped, who still owes a stop, and how much pace or track position is being traded for that decision?
Recommended Free Tools
1. Separate the physical order from the displayed order
When a leading car enters pit lane, it may drop down the timing table immediately. That does not necessarily mean the team has lost the race. Mark the stop mentally, then watch where the car returns and how much time it takes to recover positions as other cars stop. Conversely, a car can move into the top positions by staying out longer, only to fall back when its own stop is completed.
2. Mark every pit cycle
Create a simple note with each car’s last stop, current lap and position before the stop. The exact labels available vary by timing view, but the principle is consistent: compare cars on an equal pit-stop basis before judging pace. The official timing feed is the source for the event’s live status; commentary can help identify the reason for a tactical call.
3. Watch the restart effect after an interruption
A safety interruption, red flag or other session stoppage can compress gaps and change the value of track position. Do not compare a pre-interruption gap with a post-restart gap as if the cars had run continuously. Read the feed for the official status, then use the first green-flag laps to establish a new pace baseline.
4. Distinguish pace from traffic
A slower lap may result from traffic, a cautious approach, an incident or changing track conditions. A single sector loss is not enough to call a strategy failure. Look for a trend over multiple laps and check the video or analysis for an on-track explanation.

5. Treat telemetry as context
Supercars describes enhanced RaceHQ timing and telemetry as a MySupercars+ feature. Telemetry can make pace and gaps easier to interpret, but the available metrics and entitlements can change. Use the current membership description rather than assuming that every data channel is included.
A practical two-screen workflow
Two screens reduce the temptation to switch constantly between a video player and timing page. A television or main monitor can carry the broadcast; a laptop, tablet or phone can carry timing.
- Main screen: select the regional broadcast and keep the race picture visible.
- Second screen: open official Live Timing and, if useful, the Live Feed in a separate tab or panel.
- At each pit stop: note the car’s position before entry, the position during the stop, and the position after the next group of rivals has stopped.
- At an interruption: read the official session status first, then wait for the restart before comparing lap pace.
- During quiet running: compare consecutive laps and gaps instead of chasing every position change.
- When sources disagree: check the session label, refresh once, and allow for normal feed delay before drawing a conclusion.
This workflow works for practice and qualifying as well as the race, provided you reset your notes when the session changes.

The Bathurst timetable is not a permanent weekly schedule. The official event schedule lists the sessions and track times for that year’s meeting. The 2026 broadcast guide stated its times in AEDT and advised viewers to check local guides. A future event can use different dates, local time conventions or broadcast windows.

Membership and enhanced-data decisions
Basic website timing and enhanced timing are separate choices. The 2026 timing page required a MySupercars account, while Supercars’ 2026 coverage article described MySupercars+ as adding enhanced RaceHQ timing and telemetry. The event guide also mentioned in-depth analysis and race radio.
| Question | What is established | What you must verify |
|---|---|---|
| Do I need an account for the official timing page? | The 2026 Bathurst page required MySupercars sign-up or login. | Whether the next event uses the same access requirement. |
| Does the standard feed include enhanced telemetry? | Enhanced RaceHQ timing and telemetry were described as MySupercars+ features. | The current feature list and which views are included. |
| What does membership cost? | No current price was established in the event information used here. | The current membership page, billing period, cancellation terms and regional availability. |
| Is race radio included? | The 2026 event guide listed race radio among the membership features. | Whether the next event and current plan retain that feature. |
Do not buy a membership solely because a past event guide mentioned a feature. Check the current entitlement page immediately before subscribing, especially if your main goal is telemetry rather than video.
Troubleshoot missing or confusing updates
The timing page will not load
- Confirm that you are signed in to MySupercars if the event page requests it.
- Check that you opened the current event and session, not an archived results page.
- Refresh once, then test another connection or browser.
- Use the app as a temporary mobile route while the website is unavailable.
The positions look wrong after a stop
- Check whether the cars have completed equal laps.
- Read the live-feed entry for a pit stop, penalty or interruption.
- Wait for the next group of cars to cycle through pit lane before judging the strategic order.
The broadcast and timing appear out of sync
- Assume a normal delay before assuming an error.
- Use the official timing page for the live position and the broadcast for visual explanation.
- Do not refresh repeatedly during a critical restart; you may lose the current session view.
Notifications are arriving for the wrong session
- Open the app’s event selector and confirm the Bathurst race rather than practice or qualifying.
- Disable obsolete event alerts and re-enable only the current meeting.
- Check the official schedule to ensure the session has not been moved.
Race-day checklist
- Confirm whether the event is live or already concluded.
- Check the current official schedule and its time zone.
- Sign in to MySupercars before opening Live Insight, Live Timing and Live Feed.
- Update the Supercars app and enable suitable alerts.
- Verify your country’s broadcast route: Australia, New Zealand or international coverage.
- Open video and timing together, preferably on separate screens.
- Record pit cycles and interruptions before interpreting position changes.
- Use several laps of evidence rather than one sector or one position snapshot.
- Verify current MySupercars+ features and price before paying for enhanced data.
Which setup should you choose?
| Your situation | Recommended setup | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| You need only the running order | Official website timing or the app | It supplies the essential lap and position information without requiring video. |
| You want the simplest full-race experience in Australia | Seven or 7plus where listed, or Foxtel/Kayo, plus basic timing | Video shows incidents and pit work; timing confirms the order. |
| You are in New Zealand | Sky Sport plus official timing | The named regional video route is paired with an independent timing reference. |
| You are elsewhere | SuperView if available in your territory plus official timing | International rights vary, so timing provides continuity if video availability differs. |
| You study strategy closely | Video, official timing and current MySupercars+ features if worthwhile | Telemetry, analysis and race radio can add context, but exact entitlements must be checked. |
The best general choice is not the most expensive feed. It is the combination that answers both questions a Bathurst viewer keeps asking: “Where is the car now?” and “Why did it move?”
