Start with the standard Cayenne Electric, move to the Cayenne S Electric for a documented middle performance step and access to selected high-end options, and choose the Cayenne Turbo Electric only when flagship acceleration and output are the priority. Decide between the SUV and Coupé body styles separately, then select suspension, braking, charging-convenience and personalization equipment that matches how you drive.
Porsche offers all three electric trims with electric all-wheel drive, and each is also offered as a Coupé. Specifications, equipment bundles, prices and even option availability vary by country and model year. Treat the figures below as market-specific reference points, then confirm the live configuration and written build sheet with a Porsche Centre in your market before placing an order.

Choose the powertrain before choosing an electric trim
The Cayenne range is not electric-only. Porsche says combustion-engine and plug-in-hybrid Cayennes continue alongside the electric line. If charging access, long-distance refuelling or an existing towing and travel routine makes a non-electric powertrain more suitable, settle that decision first. The trim comparison in this guide applies only after you have chosen an all-electric Cayenne.

Within the electric range, the hierarchy is straightforward: Cayenne Electric is the entry point, Cayenne S Electric is the intermediate model, and Cayenne Turbo Electric is the performance flagship. All three use electric all-wheel drive. Porsche’s global press-kit description also lists a Coupé version for each electric powertrain.

Electric trim comparison
| Trim | Position in range | Published output and acceleration | Body styles | What to investigate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cayenne Electric | Entry electric model | Not stated in the Porsche material cited for this guide; verify the local homologated figure. | SUV and Coupé, subject to market availability | Whether standard power, chassis equipment and charging specification meet your needs before adding options. |
| Cayenne S Electric | Middle performance model | 400 kW (544 PS); 490 kW (666 PS) with Launch Control; 0–100 km/h in 3.8 seconds. Figures from Porsche Newsroom USA, March 10, 2026. | SUV and Coupé, subject to market availability | Availability and price of Porsche Active Ride, PCCB, PTV Plus and Push-to-Pass in your market. |
| Cayenne Turbo Electric | Performance flagship | 630 kW (857 PS) normal output and up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) with Launch Control; 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. Figures are from Porsche’s UAE-market overview. | SUV and Coupé, subject to market availability | Whether the regional output, range and charging claims apply to your market and model year. |
Do not rank the figures as if they came from one laboratory test. The S data is from a US announcement, while the Turbo figures are UAE-market claims. Different homologation rules, units, software and test conditions can change published results. Use one market, one model year, one currency and one test cycle when comparing a local build.
When the Cayenne Electric is the sensible starting point
The standard Cayenne Electric is the logical choice when you want the electric Cayenne experience without paying for the S or Turbo performance step. Because the supplied Porsche material does not state a universal base-model output or a complete equipment list, the decision must be made from your local configurator rather than from assumptions about what an entry trim includes.
Check the essentials before adding options
- Confirm the local motor output, acceleration figure, battery and charging specification.
- Read the standard-equipment list line by line: suspension control, wheel and tyre package, driver-assistance systems, cabin charging hardware and seat configuration can be bundled differently by market.
- Price the vehicle with the equipment you consider essential before comparing it with an S. A lower list price can disappear if you need to add several items that are standard higher in the range.
- Ask the retailer whether the quoted car is a current model-year build or remaining stock; Porsche’s equipment changes by production period.
Choose this trim when the local specification already covers your daily requirements and you would rarely use extra launch performance or enthusiast chassis hardware. It is also the cleanest baseline for comparing the cost of individual options.

The S sits between the base Electric and Turbo. Porsche’s US announcement identifies 400 kW (544 PS), with a higher Launch Control figure, and a 0–100 km/h time of 3.8 seconds. That makes the S a deliberate middle ground: substantially more performance than an entry model where the local figures support that conclusion, without automatically committing you to the Turbo’s flagship price and equipment level.
Why buyers choose the S
- You want a performance-oriented Cayenne but do not need the quickest published acceleration.
- You want to investigate options that Porsche specifically names for the S, including Porsche Active Ride, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB), Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus) and Push-to-Pass.
- You prefer to spend the budget on chassis, braking or interior equipment rather than maximum motor output.
Those options are not a guarantee that every S derivative can receive them. The announcement is not a universal option matrix, so open the local build for the exact body style and production year. If an option is unavailable, ask whether it is restricted to the SUV, Coupé, a wheel package or another derivative.
When the Cayenne Turbo Electric is justified
The Turbo is the electric range’s performance flagship. Porsche’s UAE overview reports 630 kW (857 PS) in normal operation and up to 850 kW (1,156 PS) with Launch Control, with 0–100 km/h in 2.5 seconds. Those are UAE-market figures, not a universal specification; your country’s approved output may be different.

What to verify before paying the Turbo premium
- Request the local technical sheet showing continuous and peak output, launch mode conditions and the official acceleration test cycle.
- Confirm which chassis, brake, wheel and interior equipment is standard rather than optional on the exact Turbo derivative.
- Check the local warranty and service documentation for high-performance components.
- Decide whether you will use the performance often enough to justify the additional purchase and option cost. If not, an S with carefully selected chassis equipment may be the more coherent build.
The UAE overview also lists up to 623 km of WLTP range and DC charging up to 400 kW under specific conditions. Keep both qualifications attached to the figures: WLTP is a test-cycle result, and the charging rate depends on conditions such as the vehicle, charger and battery state. Neither number should be treated as a guaranteed trip distance or charging speed in another market.

Porsche describes SUV and Coupé versions for all three electric powertrains. Do not use the Coupé roofline as a substitute for a performance trim decision; the body style and motor hierarchy answer different questions.
Questions for an SUV build
- Will you carry tall passengers, bulky luggage or regular rear-seat cargo?
- Do you need the local SUV’s published cargo, seating and towing specifications?
- Are the wheels, roof systems and rear-seat options you want available on the SUV derivative?
Questions for a Coupé build
- Does the Coupé’s rear design suit your seating and loading needs?
- Are the desired paint, interior, chassis and driver-assistance combinations orderable together?
- Does the local configurator publish different range, weight, wheel or charging figures for the Coupé?
Obtain the local cargo dimensions and equipment list rather than assuming that an SUV and Coupé share every practical specification. Porsche’s global statement establishes the body-style availability, but it does not establish a single worldwide cargo or range comparison.
Options that can change the driving experience
Porsche Active Ride: choose it for body control
Porsche Active Ride is an advanced active-chassis option identified by Porsche among the S’s available equipment. Its purpose is active control of body movement rather than a cosmetic upgrade. Ask the retailer to demonstrate the exact modes on the car you are ordering and to state whether the system is available with your chosen wheels, body style and market specification.
Do not add it simply because the name sounds sporty. If your priorities are a quiet commute and predictable ride comfort, compare a car with and without the system on the roads you actually use. If controlled body motion and enthusiastic driving matter more, it deserves a place on your test-drive checklist.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minutePCCB: a specialist braking decision
Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes are listed as optional equipment in the S announcement. Evaluate PCCB against your use rather than treating it as an automatic upgrade. Ask about local replacement parts, service procedures, wheel compatibility and the conditions covered by the warranty. A buyer who mostly drives in traffic may value different equipment more than someone who regularly drives at sustained high speed.

PTV Plus: investigate the handling package
PTV Plus is also named among the S options. Have the Porsche Centre explain the system’s role, the required wheel and tyre combinations and whether it changes the approved configuration of your build. Confirm the complete package price instead of assuming that selecting PTV Plus includes related chassis or tyre equipment.
Push-to-Pass: verify the documented function
Porsche lists Push-to-Pass as an option for the S announcement. The feature’s behavior, activation method and availability must be checked in the applicable local specification sheet. Ask for a demonstration and written confirmation of the feature on your vehicle identification and order documents; do not infer its operation from a different market or model year.
Convenience and charging-related equipment
Inductive charging
Porsche’s September 2026 model-year update announces inductive charging. Treat this as a factory convenience feature, not proof that every wireless charging pad or public charging installation will be compatible. Confirm the charging power, installation requirements, included hardware and market availability before selecting it.
Electrically operated doors
The same update announces electrically operated doors. Decide whether the feature solves a real accessibility or convenience need, then check whether it is standard, optional or restricted to a particular derivative. Have the retailer explain manual operation and the procedure to use if the low-voltage system is unavailable.
DC charging claims
Use the local Porsche technical sheet for charging limits. The UAE Turbo overview’s 400 kW figure is explicitly conditional and regional. A charger must also be capable of delivering the vehicle’s requested power, and the vehicle controls the rate throughout a session. Plan trips around verified compatible chargers rather than a headline peak number.
Personalization: paint and interior choices
Porsche’s September 2026 update says Paint to Sample gains 92 additional shades and that interior customization is expanded through an Interior Style package. These choices can make a car distinctive, but they also affect lead time, price and resale preferences.

How to evaluate Paint to Sample
- Ask for the exact paint name, sample and production approval before signing.
- Get a written price and an estimated delivery window; bespoke colors can follow a different ordering process from standard paint.
- Confirm that the shade is available for the body style, model year and country you are buying in.
- Check how the selected exterior color interacts with the interior, wheel and brake finishes.
Do not assume that the 92-shade expansion is immediately orderable in every market. The update is a global announcement, while local ordering systems may phase equipment in at different times.

A consistent framework for comparing local builds
Build two or three configurations in the same local configurator and compare them using the same model year and currency. The following framework prevents a low base price or a high output number from dominating the decision.
| Decision area | What to record | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Purchase price | Vehicle price, destination charges, taxes and every selected option in local currency. | Option bundles and taxes can change the gap between trims. |
| Performance | Approved output, acceleration, launch-mode conditions and test cycle. | US, UAE and other market figures are not automatically interchangeable. |
| Body style | SUV or Coupé, seating, cargo and towing figures from the local sheet. | Confirms the car fits your daily use. |
| Chassis and brakes | Standard and optional suspension, PCCB, PTV Plus, wheels and tyres. | Shows whether the driving hardware you want is included or costs extra. |
| Charging and convenience | AC/DC limits, charging equipment, inductive charging and electrically operated doors. | Separates useful daily equipment from headline claims. |
| Personalization | Paint, Interior Style package, seats and trim materials, with price and lead time. | Prevents a bespoke order from exceeding budget or delivery needs. |
Step-by-step ordering process
- Name your market and model year. Tell the retailer the country where the car will be registered and the intended production year. This fixes the relevant currency, taxes, homologation and equipment list.
- Choose electric, plug-in hybrid or combustion. Compare charging access and travel patterns before looking at electric trim upgrades.
- Select SUV or Coupé. Record the local seating, cargo, wheel and range figures for the chosen body style.
- Build the base Cayenne Electric first. Add only equipment you genuinely need so you have a transparent baseline.
- Build an S with equivalent equipment. Add the options you would otherwise purchase on the base car, then compare the resulting price and documented performance.
- Build the Turbo only if its specific benefit is decisive. Confirm local output, acceleration, standard equipment and charging claims in writing.
- Audit compatibility. Ask the Porsche Centre to verify that your suspension, brake, wheel, tyre, paint, interior and convenience selections can be ordered together.
- Review the order document. Make sure every option, color code, body style, model year, price and delivery estimate appears on the signed specification.
Common configuration mistakes and how to avoid them
Using a foreign price or equipment list
Prices, taxes, bundles and stock are market-specific. A US announcement and a UAE overview cannot establish what a buyer in another country will pay or receive. Use the local configurator and retailer quote.
Comparing peak outputs as everyday power
Launch Control figures describe a specific operating mode. Keep normal and peak output in separate columns and ask when each figure is available. Do not use a regional peak figure to promise a different market’s performance.
Assuming every announced option is orderable now
Active Ride, PCCB, PTV Plus, Push-to-Pass, inductive charging, electrically operated doors, Paint to Sample and expanded interior packages can be derivative- or market-dependent. Require confirmation for the exact build rather than relying on a general press release.

Choosing personalization before confirming delivery
Paint to Sample and special interiors may affect approval and lead time. Obtain the price and delivery estimate before committing to a bespoke combination.
Buying generic charging accessories on assumption
Factory charging equipment and vehicle interfaces are not established by the trim names alone. Ask Porsche which equipment is approved for your car and market before purchasing an accessory.
Which Cayenne Electric should you order?
- Choose Cayenne Electric when the local standard specification meets your performance, charging and comfort requirements and you want the clearest value baseline.
- Choose Cayenne S Electric when you want a documented middle performance step or need to investigate Active Ride, PCCB, PTV Plus or Push-to-Pass without moving straight to the flagship.
- Choose Cayenne Turbo Electric when the highest available performance is the central reason for buying and your local Porsche Centre confirms the applicable output, acceleration, range and charging specification.
- Choose SUV or Coupé according to seating, loading and styling priorities, not as a proxy for the motor trim.
Before signing, have the local Porsche Centre confirm the final price, taxes, equipment, homologated figures, charging limits, color availability and delivery estimate for your exact vehicle. That written, market-specific build is the only reliable basis for a high-cost Cayenne Electric decision.
