Choose the VLF Strada City if your priority is the lowest clearly published entry price; choose the Strada Max if the manufacturer’s claimed range matters more. Keep the Maruthisan MS 3.0 on your shortlist only after the dealer confirms its exact variant specifications, price, warranty and service support in writing.
The current published figures are not directly interchangeable. The Strada is offered in City and Max battery configurations, while the MS 3.0 product page displays headline figures that conflict with its own detailed specification block. The safest buying decision therefore starts with an exact-variant quotation and a test ride, not a spreadsheet comparison of unverified numbers.

Quick answer: which scooter is cheaper, and which has more range?
| Question | Best-supported answer | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Which is cheaper? | VLF Strada City | BikeWale reports ₹1,19,999 ex-showroom for the City. The MS 3.0 is listed at ₹1.49 lakh by a comparison site, but that is a secondary listing and not a local on-road quote. |
| Which has more stated range? | VLF Strada Max | Motohaus claims up to 250 km IDC for the 4.32 kWh Max configuration. This is a claimed test-cycle figure, not an independent real-world result. |
| Which has the clearer battery choice? | VLF Strada | The City is listed with a 2.16 kWh LFP battery and the Max with 4.32 kWh. Confirm the exact pack arrangement and charging equipment for the vehicle being sold. |
| Which has the more reliable published performance data? | Neither can be judged confidently without variant paperwork | Maruthisan’s page conflicts internally, and the Strada page lists 4.8 kW peak power in one section but 3 kW in its FAQ. |
For the Strada prices and launch details, see BikeWale’s October 13, 2026 report. The Strada’s battery and range claims appear on the Motohaus VLF Strada product page. The ₹1.49 lakh MS 3.0 figure comes from the ZigWheels comparison listing, which should be treated as a market snapshot rather than a confirmed quotation.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Start by defining the exact vehicle you are comparing
A “VLF Strada” is not one battery specification. Motohaus lists a City version with a 2.16 kWh LFP battery and a Max version with a 4.32 kWh LFP battery. The associated claimed IDC ranges are 130 km and 250 km respectively. The launch report says the Max uses two removable 2.16 kWh packs, but ask the dealer to confirm whether the vehicle you are ordering includes one or two packs, how each pack is secured, and whether both can be charged outside the scooter.

- Durable: Built for both comfort and impact resistance with reinforced ABS shell & thickened shock-absorbing EPS core
- Extra Removable Lining: Skateboard helmet with two removable liner for different head sizes and easy to wash the sweat away
- A Helmet for Multi-Sport: Smooth Ventilation System helps to protect and enjoy skating, cycling, BMX, MTB and etc
- Double Adjustment: Well-attached & long-lasting adjustment dial and skin-friendly adjustable chin strap maximize the best fit and comfortable wearing
- How to Measure A Proper Helmet: To find the right size bike helmet, start by measuring your head circumference, wrap a flexible tape measure around the largest portion of your head about one inch above your eyebrows. Or, wrap a string around your head, then measure the length of string with a yardstick. Size Large is recommended if your size is between 21.3-22.8 inch (54 cm-58 cm). The recommended Age Grading: 5 Years and Older
The MS 3.0 also needs an exact-variant check. Maruthisan’s current product page headline displays 130 km range, 70 km/h top speed and 3,500 W motor power. Its detailed block, however, includes up to 120 km of city range, a 160 km/h figure, a 180 kg weight and an 800 mm seat height. Those entries do not form a consistent specification set. Do not use the detailed figures as settled facts until a dealer supplies a current variant sheet or invoice-linked specification.
Write down the exact trim name, battery capacity, charger rating, wheel and brake equipment, warranty terms and colour before comparing prices. If a seller cannot identify the variant on the quotation, you do not yet have a like-for-like comparison.
Range: compare your route, not just the headline numbers
What the Strada claims
Motohaus states 130 km IDC for the 2.16 kWh Strada configuration and up to 250 km IDC for the 4.32 kWh configuration. IDC is a standardized claimed figure; it is not a promise of the distance you will obtain in traffic. Speed, rider and passenger weight, hills, temperature, tyre pressure, traffic stops and use of lights or other electrical loads can all change actual consumption.
The 250 km claim belongs to the Max battery configuration, not to every Strada. Comparing that number with the MS 3.0’s 130 km headline would be misleading unless you first establish whether you are considering the City or Max and whether the two manufacturers used comparable test assumptions.

What the MS 3.0 page says
Maruthisan’s headline says 130 km, while its detailed area says up to 120 km in city riding. Because the same page also displays a contradictory 160 km/h speed figure, treat both range entries as claims requiring confirmation rather than as independently verified specifications. Ask the dealer to identify the battery capacity and the test condition behind the quoted range.
Turn your commute into a usable requirement
- Measure the normal round-trip distance, including detours and errands rather than only the distance between home and work.
- Decide whether you need enough reserve to avoid charging every day. State that reserve requirement to the dealer instead of assuming the IDC number already includes it.
- Check whether your home, workplace or apartment parking area has a safe socket. A long stated range is less useful if charging access is inconvenient.
- If you carry a passenger or ride on steep roads, ask for a range expectation under those conditions. No independent real-world comparison was established for these two scooters.
- Choose the Strada Max only if its additional battery capacity solves a real charging or route problem; otherwise the City’s lower purchase price may be the more sensible match.
Performance figures are not yet safe grounds for a winner
Maruthisan MS 3.0
The MS 3.0 page headline lists 70 km/h and 3,500 W. The detailed section’s 160 km/h entry conflicts with that headline and appears alongside generic-looking fields. Until the current brochure confirms the figure, do not claim that the MS 3.0 is faster or more powerful than the Strada. The owner manual is useful for operating and charging guidance, but it is not a substitute for a current variant specification sheet; it is available as the Maruthisan user manual.
VLF Strada
The Motohaus product details state up to 85 km/h and 4.8 kW peak power, while the same page’s FAQ states 3 kW. BikeWale also reports 4.8 kW in its launch coverage. Because the official page contains two power values, request the current brochure or dealer paperwork for the exact City or Max variant before making an acceleration, hill-climbing or top-speed comparison.

Neither the supplied material nor an independent test establishes comparative acceleration, braking distance, hill performance or sustained high-speed behaviour. A specification number alone cannot answer which scooter will feel quicker in your traffic conditions.

Battery type, removability and charging
| Item | Maruthisan MS 3.0 | VLF Strada | What to confirm |
|---|---|---|---|
| Chemistry stated | Lithium-ion | LFP | Ask for the exact chemistry and pack capacity on the invoice. |
| Capacity | Not reliably established by the current product page | 2.16 kWh City or 4.32 kWh Max | Confirm whether the Max has two removable 2.16 kWh packs. |
| Charging time | Use the supplied charger and the exact vehicle manual; a definitive current time was not established | Motohaus lists 3 hours in one table; its FAQ describes 3 hours for one configuration and 6 hours for the other | Get the time for your battery configuration in writing. |
| Removable battery | Not established from the supplied specifications | Launch coverage describes removable packs for the Max | Ask whether the selected trim’s pack can be carried safely and charged indoors. |
For either scooter, inspect the intended charging location before booking. The Maruthisan manual advises using the supplied charger and following the vehicle’s charging procedure. Ask the dealer about connector access, charger storage, charging while the battery is installed, and what happens if the charger or battery develops a fault. For the Strada, the 3-hour and 6-hour statements indicate that charging time depends on configuration; do not assume the shorter figure applies to the Max.
Prices: compare on-road totals for matching trims
Published figures
| Model and configuration | Published price | Price basis |
|---|---|---|
| VLF Strada City | ₹1,19,999 | Ex-showroom, as reported by BikeWale on October 13, 2026 |
| VLF Strada Max | ₹1,55,500 | Ex-showroom, as reported by BikeWale on October 13, 2026 |
| Maruthisan MS 3.0 | ₹1.49 lakh | Secondary comparison-listing figure; verify current variant and location |
Ex-showroom price excludes costs that can materially change the amount you pay. Request a written on-road quotation showing registration, insurance, taxes or statutory charges where applicable, accessories, delivery fees, discounts and any battery or charger charges. Ask whether an advertised offer is temporary and whether it applies to the exact colour and battery variant in stock.
Do not compare the ₹1,19,999 City with the ₹1,55,500 Max and then conclude that one scooter is simply cheaper. The Max includes the larger stated battery configuration. The fair comparison is City versus the MS 3.0 at equivalent equipment, or Max versus the MS 3.0 if your route genuinely requires the additional capacity.
Hardware and everyday comfort
VLF Strada equipment that is currently listed
Motohaus lists front and rear disc brakes with CBS, a telescopic front fork and adjustable dual rear springs. These specifications describe the equipment, not its real-world feel. During a ride, check lever progression, low-speed balance, steering effort, suspension response over broken surfaces and whether the floorboard and seat let you change position.

MS 3.0 equipment that needs confirmation
The current MS 3.0 detailed block is internally unreliable, so use the dealer’s current brochure to verify frame, brake, suspension, wheel and tyre details. Do not infer safety equipment from a generic listing or from an older advertisement. Ask to see the exact scooter you would receive and compare its hardware with the written quotation.
Fit, passenger use and parking
Seat height matters if you are short or frequently put both feet down, but the MS page’s 800 mm figure is part of the conflicting detailed block and should be confirmed. Sit on both scooters wearing the clothing and footwear you normally use. Check handlebar reach, knee clearance, passenger foot-peg position, mirror visibility and whether you can reverse the scooter into your parking space without strain.
How to test ride them fairly
- Ride both scooters on the same day if possible, using the same rider and a similar battery state.
- Start with a slow-speed turn, U-turn and stop to assess balance, steering lock and brake feel.
- Use a representative stretch of your commute with traffic, a rough surface and an incline if available. Do not treat a short dealership loop as proof of range or top speed.
- Test acceleration only where legal and safe. Note smoothness and control rather than trying to establish a laboratory time.
- Check the stand, grab rail, storage access, charging-port location and display readability while stationary.
- Ask the dealer to demonstrate battery removal, charging and reinstallation on the exact trim.
- Record the variant, battery state, route and passenger load in your notes so the two rides remain comparable.
No comparable independent riding test or local service audit was established for these models, so the test ride is a practical screening step, not a substitute for verified engineering data.

Local support can outweigh a small difference in claimed range. Ask each seller for the name and address of the servicing outlet that will handle your scooter, the expected parts-order process, roadside assistance terms if offered, and the turnaround procedure for a battery or charger fault.

Decision guide by buyer priority
Choose the Strada City first when entry price and a defined battery option matter most
The City is the strongest starting point for a buyer who wants the lowest published price among the figures available and a clearly identified 2.16 kWh configuration. Its claimed 130 km IDC range is sufficient only if your route and charging routine make that claim usable in practice. Verify the on-road total, charging time and whether the battery is removable on the specific vehicle.
Choose the Strada Max first when charging flexibility or route length justifies it
The Max’s 4.32 kWh configuration is claimed at up to 250 km IDC and is reported as using two removable 2.16 kWh packs. That larger battery raises the ex-showroom price to ₹1,55,500 in the cited launch report. It is a logical candidate for a longer commute or a home without convenient daily charging, but only after you confirm pack weight, charging method, warranty and the 3-hour-versus-6-hour charging statement for your trim.
Keep the MS 3.0 in contention when dealer support or personal fit is better
The MS 3.0 may still suit you if a nearby dealer offers dependable service, the scooter fits you better, or the final written quotation is more attractive than the published comparison figure. Its current public specification conflicts are the reason to demand documentation, not proof that the scooter is unsuitable. Make the purchase conditional on a confirmed variant sheet, battery specification, performance figures, price, warranty and delivery terms.
What to ask the dealer, word for word
- “Which exact variant and battery capacity is this quotation for?”
- “What range figure applies to this variant, and under what test cycle or riding conditions?”
- “What are the certified top speed and motor power for this vehicle?”
- “Is the battery removable, and can it be charged safely away from the scooter?”
- “What is the complete charging time for this configuration with the supplied charger?”
- “What are the battery, vehicle and charger warranty periods and exclusions?”
- “What is the final on-road price including registration, insurance, accessories and delivery?”
- “Which workshop will perform warranty repairs, and how are battery faults handled?”
- “Can I test-ride this exact trim and inspect the production vehicle before delivery?”
A practical booking checklist
- Match the model name, variant name and battery capacity on the quotation and invoice.
- Compare City with MS 3.0 or Max with MS 3.0; do not mix base and larger-battery versions.
- Record the ex-showroom and on-road prices separately.
- Save the written range, speed, power, charging-time and warranty statements.
- Test the riding position, brakes, suspension, storage and passenger comfort.
- Confirm a safe charging location and the practical method of moving the battery, if removable.
- Verify the servicing outlet, parts process and delivery date.
- Pay only after reading the booking cancellation and refund conditions.
Bottom line for the two scooters
The VLF Strada is the easier recommendation on currently documented figures: the City has the lowest listed entry price, while the Max has the highest stated range. The Maruthisan MS 3.0 should be selected only after its conflicting online specifications are resolved in writing for the exact scooter you will buy. In every case, use the on-road quotation, battery and warranty documents, charging setup and same-route test ride as the final decision evidence.
