What you are actually checking
“CATL NING Service Centre” can describe different kinds of facilities. CATL says NING Service operates through directly operated experience centres, authorized providers and a wider global service network. A site can therefore appear in a CATL service context without being a directly operated flagship centre, and a provider’s authorization does not automatically cover every vehicle or every high-voltage repair.
CATL’s general NING Service description includes battery inspection, maintenance, recycling and cell-to-pack (CTP) battery repair. CATL says its CTP repair uses original-equipment components, follows its technical and quality requirements and comes with official warranty coverage. That is a description of the service offering as a whole; it is not confirmation that a particular address has the equipment, training, parts or approval needed for your EV.

Your goal is a vehicle-and-job-specific answer, not a network statistic. Before travelling, get the centre to confirm:
- Whether it is currently a CATL-authorized provider or a directly operated NING Service experience centre.
- Whether it accepts your vehicle make, model and model year (and, if requested, your VIN).
- Whether it can perform the exact requested work, such as diagnosis, routine maintenance, battery-health testing, pack repair or warranty work.
- Whether an appointment, recovery truck or special transport is required.
- Which documents and fees apply, and how the work could affect the vehicle or battery warranty.
Step 1: Search CATL’s official locator
- Open CATL’s official service page: https://www.catl.com/service/.
- Use the country, city or address search rather than relying on the page’s default view. Record the exact centre name, address, telephone number and any stated service categories.
- Save a screenshot or PDF of the result, including the date you searched. Listings and operating status can change.
- If the query returns “no outlets,” broaden the search to the nearest city or country, then contact CATL through the official route shown on the page. A blank result is not proof that no authorized help exists, and a result is not proof that the site can handle your EV.
The locator displays network information and response-time statements. Those are general service-network claims, not an appointment or repair-time promise for an individual vehicle. Use the page to find contact details, then verify the details directly.
Step 2: Confirm the site’s status with the centre
Ask the person answering to identify the facility’s current relationship with CATL. Use precise wording rather than “Are you a CATL garage?”
- “Are you currently a CATL-authorized service provider, or a directly operated NING Service experience centre?”
- “Can you send the current address and official contact details for that authorization?”
- “Does your authorization cover passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, or both?”
- “Is the authorization current for the date of my appointment?”
Do not treat a third-party map listing, an old social-media post, a workshop sign or a generic statement that an EV uses CATL cells as proof of authorization. If the staff member cannot answer clearly, ask CATL for another official location or use the vehicle manufacturer’s official service route.
Step 3: Give the centre enough vehicle information
Capability decisions depend on the complete vehicle configuration, not just the battery supplier. Send the following in one message:

- Vehicle make and exact model or trim.
- Model year and registration market or country.
- VIN, if the centre requests it through an official channel.
- Current mileage and whether the vehicle can be driven safely.
- A short, factual description of the warning light, fault code, damage or maintenance request.
- Any recent collision, water exposure, charging incident, software update or work by another repairer.
Ask the centre to reply specifically about your vehicle: “Do you accept this make, model year and battery system, and are you authorized and equipped for this repair?” A “yes” to CATL battery work in general is not enough.
Step 4: Match the centre to the job
Request a separate confirmation for each task. A site that can perform a health inspection may not be approved to open a damaged pack; a facility that handles warranty diagnosis may not stock parts for a non-local vehicle variant.

Diagnosis and fault-code investigation
Ask whether the centre can communicate with your vehicle’s battery-management system, read manufacturer-specific codes and issue a written diagnostic report. Confirm whether diagnosis is charged separately if you decline the repair.
Routine maintenance
Clarify what “maintenance” includes for your EV. It might cover inspection, cooling-system checks or electrical safety checks, but the exact schedule is vehicle-specific. Ask for the proposed checklist and whether the work is recognized by the vehicle manufacturer.
Battery-health inspection
Ask what measurement will be supplied: for example, a state-of-health value, cell-voltage review or a pass/fail safety assessment. Confirm the test method, report format and fee. A generic plug-in tester cannot establish CATL authorization or replace the centre’s official assessment.

Battery-pack or CTP repair
Ask whether the location is approved for pack-level or CTP repair, whether CATL original-equipment components are available, and who provides the repair warranty. CATL’s published statement says its CTP repair service uses original-equipment components, adheres to CATL technical and quality requirements and comes with official warranty coverage. That statement describes CATL’s service program; obtain the individual centre’s written terms for your vehicle and country.

Warranty work
Ask whether the centre can process the vehicle maker’s warranty, a battery warranty, or only a CATL aftermarket warranty. Request the warranty administrator’s name, exclusions, approval process and whether inspection must occur before any dismantling. Do not authorize chargeable work until you know whether a warranty claim has been opened.
Step 5: Confirm booking, transport, documents and cost
Before you set out, ask for a written appointment confirmation containing the following:

Keep the email, message or case number. If the centre will only confirm by phone, write down the employee’s name, the time and each answer.

When the locator shows more than one option, compare the centres on the factors that affect your particular job rather than choosing solely by distance.

CATL’s 2025 ESG report says station personnel must complete maintenance training and pass examinations before beginning work. That supports asking the exact provider about trained personnel and authorization, but it does not create a model-by-model eligibility list.
What CATL’s network figures do—and do not—tell you
CATL reported more than 1,200 professional service stations across 76 countries and 73 spare-parts warehouses in its January 10, 2026 announcement about the Riyadh facility. The same announcement said NING Service had supported more than six million electric vehicles. These are CATL-reported, worldwide cumulative or network snapshots; they do not measure coverage in your city or eligibility for your car.
On August 10, 2026, CATL announced that ten directly operated centres opened simultaneously, including sites in Haikou, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Norway and Türkiye. It also said centres would progressively launch in 100 cities worldwide during the second half of 2026. The opening list and the 100-city figure describe CATL’s rollout and plan; they do not prove that a centre is open, staffed or equipped for your vehicle on the day you search.
The locator has displayed a different figure—more than 1,100 professional service stations—and general or complex-fault response-time claims. Because that display differs from the later dated announcement, use the date and source when quoting any network number, and never turn a response-time statement into an individual repair guarantee.

If the centre cannot confirm your vehicle
- Ask whether another CATL-authorized provider in the same country handles your make or battery system.
- Ask CATL for an official alternative using the contact route on its service page.
- Contact the vehicle manufacturer’s official dealer or importer and ask whether it can diagnose the vehicle, process the battery warranty or arrange a CATL referral.
- If the EV has crash, smoke, overheating, flooding or isolation-fault symptoms, stop driving it and follow the manufacturer’s emergency and recovery instructions.
Do not infer a universal CATL service promise merely because the vehicle contains CATL-made cells or a CATL pack. The vehicle maker may control software access, warranty approval and parts distribution even when CATL manufactured the battery.
