First pick your platform, confirm that the exact wheel works with it, mount the wheel and pedals securely, and plan around one display: the game supports PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC, but not VR or triple-screen setups.
Choose your platform before buying a wheel
NASCAR 25 is listed for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC through Steam. Its official FAQ says Steam Deck and Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 are unsupported. Choose the console you own or prefer, or check your PC against Steam’s requirements before shopping for peripherals.
On console, verify that a wheelbase is licensed and compatible with that exact console and supports the game. The FAQ does not name guaranteed-compatible wheel models, so a product’s general console compatibility is not by itself proof that it will work in NASCAR 25.
On PC, check the wheel’s connection mode and whether the game recognizes the exact model. The FAQ says XInput, GameInput, and DirectInput devices can be mapped in Options → Input Mapping, but it does not guarantee identical behavior across devices.

Why doesn’t my steering wheel work?
The NASCAR 25 FAQ says: “We ship with many wheels working ‘out of the box’, but due to the sheer number of different devices available on the PC we cannot have support for all of them.” A wheel working with a platform or another racing game does not ensure it will work here.
- Identify the exact model and platform. Check the game’s current FAQ and the wheel maker’s support information for that model, not just the product family.
- Confirm the connection and recognition method. On PC, check whether it presents as XInput, GameInput, or DirectInput and whether the game recognizes it.
- Check mapping instructions. For supported input devices, use Options → Input Mapping to configure controls. Device recognition and mapping may vary.
- Reduce purchase risk. If support remains uncertain, buy from a seller with a return policy that suits you.
A wheel and pedal set is the most direct peripheral choice for a wheel-based setup. No named wheel, pedal set, force-feedback base, or direct-drive model is established as guaranteed compatible by the game sources. Treat those features as preferences, not NASCAR 25 requirements.

Mount the wheel and pedals securely
A wheel stand or cockpit is an optional way to create a stable mounting surface; neither is an official game requirement. Choose a mount that suits the hardware and the room rather than buying one simply because a setup is described as “pro-level.”
- Fit: Check the wheelbase mounting pattern and the pedal set’s mounting needs.
- Stability: Consider the wheelbase’s force and how firmly the stand or cockpit can be secured during use.
- Adjustability: Look for seat, wheel, and pedal positions that can be set comfortably for the driver.
- Space and storage: Measure the available floor area and decide whether the rig needs to fold, move, or stay assembled.
- Upgrade path: If you expect to change equipment later, check whether the mount can accommodate those future components.
These are general fit and setup considerations, not claims that a particular frame has been tested with NASCAR 25.

Plan for one supported display
The official FAQ says NASCAR 25 does not support VR or triple-screen setups. A conventional single display is the straightforward supported plan. The available game information does not specify an ideal screen size, resolution, refresh rate, or monitor model, so choose those to suit your budget and PC or console rather than treating them as game requirements.
