Kelley Blue Book’s current estimates show a 2022 Jeep Wagoneer losing roughly 43% to 46% of its value over three years, depending on which of KBB’s two pages you use. Those figures do not establish a precise four-year loss: the pages disagree, and neither supplies a matched original value and 2026 appraisal for the same trim, mileage, and transaction type.
What KBB’s current estimates say
Kelley Blue Book’s figures are estimates that change over time, not a single definitive measure of what every 2022 Wagoneer is worth. Its dedicated depreciation page and broader model page show different three-year losses and current values.
| Source and valuation context | Three-year depreciation | Current value figures shown |
|---|---|---|
| Kelley Blue Book dedicated depreciation page, accessed 2026 | $23,089, or 43% | $30,200 resale estimate; $23,500 trade-in estimate |
| Kelley Blue Book broader 2022 model page, accessed 2026 | $26,966, or 46% | $31,200 resale estimate; $25,900 trade-in estimate |
The two pages do not explain why their estimates differ, so they should be reported as separate provider figures rather than averaged or treated as one exact answer. The dedicated depreciation page places the Wagoneer in the 75th–100th percentile for depreciation among 2022 SUVs. Its annual resale-value table lists $53,289 in 2023, $39,146 in 2024, $37,237 in 2025, and $30,200 in the page’s “Now” column.
Why the title’s “four years” is not a measured four-year loss
A 2022 model is four model years old in 2026, but age alone does not produce a defensible four-year depreciation percentage. That calculation would need a starting value and an end-date value measured on a matching basis—for the same trim and a specified mileage, condition, geography, and transaction type. The available KBB summaries instead give three-year depreciation figures, while Edmunds provides trim- and condition-specific estimates and an illustrative five-year projection. These are not a matched four-year comparison.

KBB’s broader model page lists original MSRPs from $63,995 to $83,190 across the trims shown. That spread matters: a single current-value figure cannot describe every 2022 Wagoneer equally.

The same KBB page displays current Fair Purchase Price values from $33,000 to $36,500 in the search result used for this article. KBB describes these as national averages for typical-condition dealership purchases; they are not the same measure as its resale or trade-in estimates.

Resale, trade-in, and dealer retail are different values
A resale or private-party estimate, a trade-in offer, and a dealer-retail estimate refer to different transaction contexts. Comparing them as though they were interchangeable can make depreciation look higher or lower simply because the value type changed. Edmunds’ appraisal page separates trade-in, private-party, and dealer-retail estimates, as well as trim and condition.

How to estimate your own Wagoneer’s value
- Choose a valuation source and record its valuation date. For example, use KBB’s dedicated depreciation page or broader model page; do not combine their differing estimates.
- Enter the exact trim and drivetrain, plus the vehicle’s mileage, condition, and location. KBB notes that mileage, condition, location, and other factors affect its estimates.
- Select the value type that matches your decision: trade-in for a dealer trade, private-party for a direct sale, or dealer retail when considering a dealership’s asking-price context. Edmunds’ 2022 Wagoneer appraisal page varies estimates by trim, condition, and transaction type and assumes 12,000 miles per year for its displayed estimates.
- Compare estimates only when the source, date, trim, mileage assumption, condition, and transaction type are aligned. Treat any result as a guide, not an appraisal of your specific vehicle.
