Financing is a purchase: you make payments under the contract, and the agreement governs the terms of the account and your ownership obligations. LFS describes its finance contracts as simple-interest contracts. How leasing works
With a lease, you make payments for the agreed term and mileage structure, then follow the contract’s return or purchase provisions. LFS describes several lease formats, including a one-payment lease, a low-mileage lease, and a multiple-security-deposit lease. Start with your likely use of the car and the full written offer, not just the monthly payment. LFS describes buying as avoiding lease mileage limits and lease-end obligations; leasing may offer a lower monthly payment but carries mileage, condition, and other contract-dependent end-of-lease considerations. Return the vehicle
- Contact the originating dealer in advance and confirm the receiving location can accept the vehicle.
- Arrange the return with an authorized Lexus or Toyota dealer. LFS warns that returning the vehicle to an unauthorized third party can leave you responsible until required payoff funds and paperwork are received or the vehicle is delivered to an authorized dealer. Lexus lease-end options
- Review the inspection and lease-end guidance, then keep the return paperwork.
Possible return-related invoice items include unpaid payments, late or miscellaneous amounts, excess mileage, excess wear and use, and a disposition fee if applicable. Buy the leased vehicle
Request a current payoff quote through your LFS online account or directly from LFS. A dealer may help arrange financing if you need it. Compare the quote with current alternatives and add applicable taxes, registration, and other purchase costs. There is no universal buyout price established by LFS’s general information. Move to another Lexus
