There is no verified Germany-specific warranty package for the Chery Q EV in the available public material. No German warranty booklet, named importer, authorised-workshop list, maintenance schedule, battery guarantee or claims procedure has been established. The wording does not identify the legal warrantor for Germany, specify a vehicle or battery duration, set a mileage ceiling, or name a German workshop. It also does not establish whether the Q EV is officially sold or imported in Germany. The phrase “during the warranty period” is especially significant: the period itself is not stated in the global wording. A seller must provide the exact term, mileage limit and exclusions that apply to the vehicle being offered.

How Chery’s general after-sales model is described
Chery’s corporate disclosure describes a broad distinction between in-warranty and out-of-warranty work. Repairs covered by warranty are handled through dealership outlets. Once coverage expires, repairs become fee-based and may include wear-and-tear parts or damage caused by an accident.
This disclosure is a description of general Chery practice, not a Germany-specific Q EV policy. It does not tell a German owner which outlet is authorised, whether an independent garage can perform scheduled maintenance without affecting coverage, or who pays for diagnosis and transport when a defect is disputed. Those details must come from the German warrantor or seller.

What an authorised-workshop requirement could mean
If the German booklet requires an authorised Chery outlet for warranty repairs, the practical issue is availability. A promise to repair at an authorised workshop is only useful if a workshop in Germany is identified, accepts the Q EV, can access technical information and can order the required parts. Ask the seller to confirm all four points in writing rather than relying on a generic brand webpage.
Do German Omoda and Jaecoo dealers cover the Q EV?
A 2026 report by VISION mobility said that Chery-group brands Omoda and Jaecoo had reached 50 German dealer partners. The report also described a seven-year manufacturer warranty and 24/7 roadside assistance for those brands.
That is evidence of Chery-group distribution activity in Germany, but it does not establish that the Q EV is sold, imported, warrantied or serviced through the same network. Brand, importer and contract differences can determine who is legally responsible. Do not assume that an Omoda or Jaecoo outlet will accept a Q EV warranty claim unless the seller names that outlet in the Q EV documentation.

What the Chery–Allianz Partners framework does—and does not—confirm
Chery International announced a three-year framework cooperation agreement with Allianz Partners in 2025. The programme began in Europe and is stated to run until 31 December 2027. Its scope includes motor insurance, roadside assistance, and extensions for new and used vehicle and battery warranties.
Chery said that additional markets, including Germany, would be evaluated for expansion. The announcement does not confirm a German retail launch, pricing, eligibility, or inclusion of the Q EV. It also does not publish a German telephone number, claims route or benefit limits. Consequently, a buyer should not purchase on the assumption that this framework supplies Q EV cover in Germany or that an extension can be ordered after registration.
How to verify coverage before signing a contract
Use the following sequence with the seller, importer or leasing company. Keep copies of every answer and document.
- Identify the responsible company. Ask for the German legal warrantor, importer of record and the address to which formal claims are sent. The name should match the contract and warranty booklet.
- Obtain the complete warranty booklet. Check the start date, duration, mileage ceiling, geographic territory, exclusions, maintenance conditions and transfer rules. A marketing headline is not enough.
- Separate vehicle and battery coverage. Request individual terms for the traction battery, battery-management system, electric motor, inverter, onboard charger and high-voltage cabling. Ask whether any minimum remaining capacity or state-of-health threshold applies and how it is measured.
- Get the maintenance schedule. Confirm time- and kilometre-based intervals, inspection items, brake-fluid or coolant requirements, software checks and the price of each scheduled visit. The current material provides no German interval or price.
- Confirm workshop access. Request the current German list of authorised sites and ask a named site whether it can diagnose and repair the Q EV, perform high-voltage work and submit warranty claims.
- Clarify claim administration. Ask who authorises diagnosis, whether a failed claim can incur diagnostic or transport charges, which photographs or fault codes are required, and how to escalate a rejected claim.
- Document roadside assistance. Obtain the German phone number, operating hours, territorial limits, towing destination, high-voltage recovery procedure, onward travel or replacement-car benefits and any distance cap.
- Check parts and software support. Ask who orders replacement parts, expected lead-time ranges, how recalls and software updates are delivered, and what happens if no German workshop can complete the repair.
What to do if a defect appears after delivery
The exact process must come from the German warranty documents. Until those instructions are available, protect your position with a documented, orderly approach:

- Record the date, mileage, warning messages, charging conditions and any event that triggered the fault. Photograph dashboard messages and retain diagnostic reports.
- Contact the named warrantor or authorised outlet using the channel specified in the booklet. Ask for a claim or job number and written confirmation of the requested repair.
- Do not authorise chargeable parts or dismantling until you know whether the work is covered and who pays if the claim is rejected.
- Keep invoices, recovery receipts, correspondence and software-version information. These records help establish maintenance history and the timeline of the defect.
- If the first outlet cannot accept the vehicle, ask the warrantor to nominate another authorised site and confirm transport responsibility in writing.
This procedure does not create coverage where none exists; it prevents an undocumented dispute while you establish which company is contractually responsible.
Battery warranty questions deserve separate attention
No German Q EV battery-capacity guarantee, state-of-health threshold, test method or replacement policy was established. A general promise to repair manufacturing defects does not tell an owner how normal capacity degradation is treated.
Ask whether the battery warranty covers only manufacturing faults or also capacity falling below a stated percentage. Clarify the measurement method, test conditions, treatment of modules versus the complete pack, and whether battery damage from charging equipment, accident, water ingress or unauthorised repair is excluded. Also ask whether a replacement pack is new, remanufactured or equivalent, and whether labour and disposal are included. If the seller cannot answer in the written German documents, consider battery coverage unresolved.

An electric vehicle still needs scheduled inspections, brake and tyre work, coolant or climate-system checks where specified, software maintenance and high-voltage safety procedures. The Q EV’s German service intervals and prices have not been published in the available material, so a buyer cannot calculate a reliable maintenance budget from the headline warranty alone.

Ask whether routine work must be performed by an authorised Chery outlet to preserve coverage, or whether specified work may be carried out by another qualified garage with documented parts and procedures. Request the technical information used for diagnostics and the process for applying software updates. A distant or unavailable workshop can turn a minor electronic fault into a transport and downtime problem even when parts and labour would otherwise be covered.
Questions about parts availability
- Is there a German or European parts warehouse?
- Can the seller provide typical lead times for body, charging and high-voltage components?
- Who pays storage, towing or repeated transport when a part is back-ordered?
- Can an authorised outlet immobilise the vehicle safely while waiting for a component?
Roadside assistance is not the same as warranty repair
Roadside assistance normally concerns recovery or immediate help; warranty coverage concerns responsibility for a manufacturing defect and the cost of an authorised repair. The global Chery statement mentions assistance services, but it gives no German Q EV number, territory, towing rule or loan-car entitlement.
Ask whether assistance operates 24/7, whether it covers breakdowns outside Germany, where a disabled high-voltage vehicle will be towed, and whether transport to a Q EV-capable workshop is guaranteed. Do not substitute the reported 24/7 benefit for Omoda and Jaecoo for Q EV cover.
Use these comparison criteria when German options become available
If a seller later supplies competing written offers, compare like with like. The following framework prevents a long headline warranty from hiding weak service support.

- The seller quotes a seven-year warranty but cannot show the Q EV booklet naming the warrantor.
- A dealer claims to be authorised without confirming Q EV diagnostic and high-voltage capability.
- Battery coverage is described as “included” without a capacity threshold or test method.
- Roadside assistance is advertised without a German number, towing destination or territorial limits.
- Maintenance is said to be “minimal” while intervals, software support and prices are unavailable.
- The seller directs you to a general international page instead of providing German contractual terms.
Until these points are resolved in writing, the prudent assumption is that the purchase carries uncertainty over both repair access and cost, regardless of Chery’s global promise to repair manufacturing defects through authorised workshops.
