If you want a cruiser with the Honda Rebel’s low-slung, approachable character, start with the Kawasaki Eliminator, Royal Enfield Meteor 350, Kawasaki Vulcan S, and Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650. They are not a ranked top four: each suits a different priority, and the available manufacturer information does not support a reliable, current ten-bike comparison across one market.

The closest fit depends on whether you value a low seat and manageable feel, a modest-capacity classic cruiser, more highway-oriented power, or a larger twin. The figures below come from manufacturer pages in different markets and model years, so compare only within the stated market and version.

Which Honda Rebel alternative fits your priorities?

Use the shortlist to decide what to investigate locally, not as a substitute for sitting on the bike. Seat height and weight can help frame low-speed confidence, but neither specification proves that a motorcycle will feel comfortable or manageable for a particular rider.

  • Closest approachable-cruiser direction: Kawasaki Eliminator, which Kawasaki markets around a low seat and light handling.
  • Modest-capacity classic-cruiser direction: Royal Enfield Meteor 350.
  • More power and a sport-cruiser character: Kawasaki Vulcan S.
  • Larger-capacity relaxed cruiser: Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650.

Four alternatives with manufacturer-published details

Model and market Published specifications What the manufacturer emphasizes
Kawasaki Eliminator; local model year and market should be checked Kawasaki’s cited page says the seat is just under 29 inches, but the returned page information does not establish a complete model-year specification set or price. A sleek, low design, low comfortable seat, and light, easy handling. [Kawasaki]
Royal Enfield Meteor 350; UK page 349 cc; 27 Nm maximum torque; 765 mm seat height; 191 kg running weight; dual-channel ABS. Royal Enfield notes specifications can vary by variant. Relaxed rider triangle and low-set seat. Figures are from the UK product page, not a universal market specification. [Royal Enfield UK]
Kawasaki Vulcan S; 2026 US model 649 cc parallel twin; 60 hp; 46.5 lb-ft torque; six-speed transmission; 27.8-inch seat; 498.3 lb curb weight for ABS; 3.7-gallon fuel capacity; ABS available. Kawasaki calls it a sport cruiser and describes its engine as Ninja-derived. Its horsepower figure uses ISO 4106 and may read higher than SAE-measured figures, so it should not be compared unqualified with output figures measured under another standard. [Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A.]
Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650; US page 648 cc parallel twin; 47 PS; 52.3 Nm torque. The cited page does not state seat height or operating weight. Royal Enfield positions it as a cruiser, emphasizing a low, wide seat and laid-back stance. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent ride-test findings. [Royal Enfield USA]

How the four choices differ

Kawasaki Eliminator: prioritize low seat and easy handling

The Eliminator is the clearest place to begin if your main draw to the Rebel is an approachable cruiser form. Kawasaki describes its design as low and its handling as light and easy; the cited page puts the seat just under 29 inches among the company’s 250–500 cc on-road models. That information supports considering its fit, but does not establish a complete current specification or price for every market. Confirm the local model year and version with Kawasaki or a dealer.

#1 Best Overall
Lifan Lycan 250, V-Twin Chopper, 250cc EFI 5-Speed Manual Transmission, Dual Chrome Exhaust, LED Headlights, Digital-Analog Display, Classic Cruiser Design, Street Legal Motorcycle, 2YR WRNTY
  • Engine Type (V-Twin, Air-Cooled, EFI) – A high-performance V-Twin engine with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) for smooth power delivery, fuel efficiency, and reduced emissions.
  • Brakes (Front/Rear - Disc/Disc) – Equipped with dual hydraulic disc brakes for powerful, precise stopping capability in all road conditions.
  • Fuel Economy (87 MPG) – Exceptional fuel efficiency, making it a cost-effective and environmentally friendly choice.
  • Dual Chrome Exhaust – A classic twin-pipe exhaust system that not only enhances aesthetics but also delivers a deep, aggressive sound signature.
  • New Digital & Analog Display – A combination of modern digital precision with a classic analog touch, offering a stylish and functional instrument cluster.

Royal Enfield Meteor 350: choose a smaller-capacity cruiser

The UK Meteor 350 page gives concrete fit and powertrain details: 349 cc, 27 Nm, a 765 mm seat, and 191 kg running weight, with dual-channel ABS. Royal Enfield describes a relaxed rider triangle and low-set seat. Those UK-market figures may vary by variant and should not be treated as US specifications. If you are comparing a Meteor with a Rebel, compare local versions and weigh the seat and running weight alongside a real test ride.

Kawasaki Vulcan S: move up to a more powerful sport cruiser

The 2026 US Vulcan S is a substantial step up in stated capacity and output from the smaller cruiser options here: Kawasaki lists a 649 cc parallel twin, 60 hp, and 46.5 lb-ft of torque. It also lists a 27.8-inch seat and 498.3 lb curb weight for the ABS version. Kawasaki’s output figure is measured to ISO 4106, a qualification that matters when setting it beside figures measured to a different standard. The company’s sport-cruiser positioning makes this a candidate for riders who want a larger, more performance-oriented option, rather than simply a near-sized substitute.

Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650: consider a larger cruiser twin

The Super Meteor 650 sits above the Meteor 350 in engine capacity. Royal Enfield USA lists a 648 cc parallel twin producing 47 PS and 52.3 Nm, and presents the motorcycle as a relaxed cruiser with a low, wide seat and laid-back stance. The cited US page does not supply seat-height or weight figures in the available information, so do not infer those from its styling or compare its fit by appearance alone.

What to check before choosing one

  • Match market and model year. The cited specifications include a UK Meteor page, a US Super Meteor page, and a 2026 US Vulcan S. Equipment, specifications, and availability can differ by market or variant.
  • Compare weight definitions carefully. The Meteor’s figure is described as running weight; the Vulcan’s is curb weight for the ABS version. Those labels are not interchangeable without checking each manufacturer’s definition.
  • Confirm the exact ABS version. The Meteor page specifies dual-channel ABS, while the Vulcan page identifies an ABS curb-weight figure and says ABS is available. Check the precise local trim rather than assuming every version has identical equipment.
  • Check the actual price with local dealers. The cited evidence does not provide comparable current prices, and country-specific taxes, fees, and equipment make cross-market prices misleading.
  • Test fit and low-speed handling. Sit on the exact version and, where possible, arrange a test ride. Seat height alone cannot account for seat width, balance, reach to the bars, or how the bike feels when moving slowly.
  • Ride with protective equipment. Kawasaki advises using a helmet, eye protection, and proper apparel. [Kawasaki rider guidance]

Why this is a four-bike shortlist, not a ten-bike ranking

A dependable list of ten alternatives would need comparable, current model information scoped to one geography, including specifications, equipment, and local pricing. The available manufacturer pages establish four candidates but not six more with equivalent evidence; naming additional models as if they were verified current alternatives would create a false sense of precision. These four are useful starting points, not a definitive best-to-worst ranking.
