The Rolls-Royce La Rose Noire Droptail is the highest-priced car in the reviewed 2024 lists, at a reported US$30 million—but that figure is an estimate, not a confirmed public sale price. The ranking below follows Exame’s January 2024 list, which reports ten exceptionally expensive cars and credits Luxe Digital. It includes bespoke Rolls-Royce commissions alongside performance cars, so it is not a definitive supercar-only leaderboard. The list’s dollar figures are reported values, not a consistent set of verified transaction prices.
How to read this 2024 ranking
There is no single authoritative top ten in the sources reviewed: the answer changes with the definition of “supercar” and with the price measure. Exame’s list includes bespoke luxury commissions such as the Rolls-Royce Boat Tail and Sweptail. Sport Auto frames its list around new cars and their official or presumed values at presentation, while separately identifying the Chiron Profilée as an auction result. It also labels the Boat Tail and La Rose Noire figures as estimates. Those lists have different scopes and currencies, so their numbers should not be merged into one transaction-price ranking.
The table preserves Exame’s descending order and reported US-dollar values. Treat them as figures reported by that publication, not as independently audited prices or proof of what a customer paid. The differing euro figures in Sport Auto are not converted here.

Why “most expensive supercar” is not a settled category
The Rolls-Royce Droptail and Boat Tail are bespoke luxury commissions, not conventional series-production supercars. Including them pushes the highest entries well above the prices of many performance-focused models. Exame’s list is best understood as a ranking of exceptionally expensive cars; it does not apply a strict supercar-only definition.
Other lists make different choices. Sport Auto’s 2024 new-car selection includes models such as the Hennessey Venom F5, Koenigsegg Jesko, Aspark Owl, Bugatti Bolide and McLaren Solus GT, while treating the Profilée auction separately. This is why a car’s position can change—or it can be left out entirely—depending on whether a publication counts bespoke commissions, track-only cars, announced prices, estimates or completed auctions.

A useful 2024 reference point: Bugatti Tourbillon
Bugatti’s June 21, 2024 announcement set the Tourbillon’s starting price at €3.8 million net and planned production at 250 examples. The company said the car was entering testing and anticipated customer deliveries in 2026; that was a forward-looking schedule announced in 2024, not confirmation of later delivery status. Bugatti described it as a naturally aspirated V16 paired with electric motors. These manufacturer-announced specifications and price provide a clear starting-price reference, but they are not directly comparable to estimated values for bespoke commissions or an auction result.
