American Honda announced the road-focused sport-tourer for the 2025 model year in March 2025, and Honda’s U.S. website now lists the 2026 NT1100 DCT as an active model. Honda fans did get the NT1100 in America. American Honda announced the road-focused sport-tourer for the 2025 model year in March 2025, with U.S. deliveries scheduled for spring. The motorcycle is no longer an upcoming release: as of August 12, 2026, Honda’s U.S. website lists the 2026 NT1100 DCT as an active model.

The American version is a single, automatic-transmission configuration built around Honda’s 1,084cc parallel-twin engine. It combines Africa Twin mechanical DNA with 17-inch road wheels, touring bodywork, cruise control, heated grips, smartphone-compatible instrumentation, and a comparatively accessible 32.3-inch seat height.
When did the Honda NT1100 come to the United States?
American Honda announced three previously overseas-focused models for the 2025 U.S. model year: the CB750 Hornet, CB1000 Hornet SP, and NT1100 DCT. The announcement came in March 2025, and Honda said the NT1100 would reach American dealers by spring.

The NT1100 had already established itself in Europe before the U.S. launch. Honda positioned it as a sport-tourer rather than an adventure bike: it uses the Africa Twin family’s 1,084cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin architecture, but its bodywork, suspension, wheels, wind protection, and riding position are designed primarily for paved roads.
2026 Honda NT1100 DCT price and U.S. availability
Honda’s current U.S. listing shows the 2026 NT1100 DCT with a $11,999 base MSRP. Honda separately lists a $775 destination charge, putting the price at $12,774 before taxes, title, registration, licensing, dealer-installed options, and any dealer pricing or fees.
The 2025 model launched at $11,899 before destination. The $100 increase for 2026 is a modest model-year price change, not evidence by itself of a major redesign. Honda’s 2026 U.S. product information highlights the Gray Metallic colorway and carries forward the core DCT package.

Honda’s U.S. powersports site provides tools to build the motorcycle, search inventory, locate dealers, request a quote, and investigate financing. Actual stock and transaction prices can vary by dealer, so shoppers should use those tools as a starting point rather than treating the MSRP as an out-the-door price.
The U.S. NT1100 is DCT-only
The most important market-specific detail is the transmission. The American NT1100 is sold with Honda’s six-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission, or DCT. Honda did not initially bring the conventional manual-transmission version to the United States.
DCT automatically handles clutch operation and gear changes, which can be attractive for riders who spend time in traffic, want to reduce fatigue on long trips, or simply prefer not to operate a clutch lever. It also changes the character of the buying decision: a rider specifically seeking a traditional clutch and foot-operated gear lever cannot get that configuration through the U.S. NT1100 lineup described by Honda’s launch and current product materials.

U.S. versus European NT1100 configurations
Reviews and specifications from Europe do not necessarily describe the motorcycle sold in America. European buyers may encounter both manual-transmission models and versions equipped with electronically adjustable suspension. The U.S. launch configuration was the conventional-suspension DCT model.
That distinction matters when comparing test rides, setup advice, pricing, or equipment lists. A European review discussing a manual gearbox or electronic suspension should not be used as though it were a description of every U.S.-market NT1100. The American buyer gets a narrower configuration choice, even though the core engine and sport-touring mission remain familiar.

What equipment comes standard?
The NT1100’s strongest argument is the amount of touring equipment built into the motorcycle. The U.S. package includes:
- Electronic cruise control
- Heated grips
- Adjustable windscreen
- Centerstand
- LED lighting
- USB connectivity
- 6.5-inch TFT instrument display
- Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility
- Selectable ride modes
- Honda Selectable Torque Control
- Cornering-oriented electronic rider aids
Honda’s 2026 product page specifically highlights five ride modes, cruise control, the 1,084cc engine, and automatic DCT. The combination gives the NT1100 a useful equipment advantage over motorcycles that require buyers to add touring essentials individually.

The Africa Twin connection is real, but the motorcycles serve different purposes. The NT1100 uses the same broad engine family and is aimed at riders who want long-distance capability without an adventure-bike format.

Instead of emphasizing off-road clearance and dirt-oriented versatility, the NT1100 uses road-focused bodywork, 17-inch wheels, a relatively low seat, a large adjustable windscreen, and a sport-touring riding position. Its steel semi-double-cradle frame and conventional Showa suspension are part of that road-biased specification.
In practical buying terms, the NT1100 sits between a traditional full-size touring motorcycle and an adventure motorcycle. It offers more upright ergonomics and wind protection than a typical sport bike, while avoiding the taller stance and off-road emphasis associated with many adventure models.
The strongest reasons to consider one
Touring equipment is included
Cruise control, heated grips, a centerstand, adjustable wind protection, smartphone-compatible displays, and electronic rider aids are not afterthoughts on the NT1100. They are part of the motorcycle’s central value proposition.
DCT expands its appeal
For riders who prefer automatic shifting, the DCT is the defining feature. It can make stop-and-go riding less demanding and lets the rider concentrate on road position, traffic, and the route without operating a clutch lever.
The riding position is more approachable than many adventure-tourers
A 32.3-inch seat height is relatively accessible for a motorcycle in this performance and touring class. That does not make a roughly 547-pound motorcycle feel small, but it may make low-speed footing and everyday use less intimidating than on a taller adventure bike.
It offers Africa Twin lineage in a road-oriented package
Buyers who like the Africa Twin’s parallel-twin concept but spend nearly all their time on pavement may find the NT1100’s mission more relevant than a dirt-focused adventure model’s. The road-oriented wheels, windscreen, bodywork, and ergonomics are central to that distinction.

The compromises U.S. buyers need to understand
No conventional manual model in the U.S. launch configuration
The DCT-only strategy simplifies the American lineup but removes the choice that some experienced riders value most. If a manual gearbox is a requirement, the U.S.-market NT1100 is not configured to meet it based on the available launch and product information.

No U.S. electronic-suspension version identified
European-market coverage discusses an electronically adjustable suspension version, while the U.S. model was introduced with conventional suspension. American shoppers should not assume that a European trim or review describes an available U.S. option.
Luggage is optional
The motorcycle’s touring equipment is extensive, but hard luggage is not something buyers should automatically assume is included in the base price. Honda promotes optional accessory luggage. The 2025 feature information identifies saddlebags with stated capacities of 37 liters on the left and 36 liters on the right.

For a buyer planning longer trips, the most natural additions are Honda’s NT1100 accessory luggage, pannier inner bags, a tank bag, a weather-resistant motorcycle cover, a tire-pressure gauge or compact inflator, and a secure phone or charging setup.
Honda-confirmed accessory luggage is the safest place to begin because fitment and mounting hardware are specific to the motorcycle. For generic third-party products, verify the exact model year, mounting system, tank dimensions, clearance around the cockpit, and the seller’s fitment information before ordering. A product described merely as “universal” should not be assumed to fit the NT1100.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors- Luggage: Confirm whether panniers, mounting racks, locks, and inner bags are included or sold separately.
- Tank bags: Check clearance with the handlebars, fuel filler, windscreen, and riding position.
- Phone and charging accessories: Make sure the mount does not obstruct the TFT display or controls.
- Cover: Choose a cover sized for a large sport-tourer, including any installed luggage.
- Tire equipment: A gauge and compact inflator are useful touring additions, but they do not replace regular inspection and proper service.
Readers shopping for Honda NT1100 DCT accessories should treat compatibility as a model-specific question, not a category assumption. Honda’s official product information establishes the accessory-luggage opportunity; it does not establish fitment for every third-party listing.

Is the Honda NT1100 a good value?
On paper, the NT1100’s value comes from combining a large-displacement twin, automatic DCT, electronic rider aids, cruise control, heated grips, a centerstand, wind protection, and connected instrumentation at a base MSRP below $12,000 for the 2026 model before destination and other charges.
That value is strongest for a rider who wants a road-going touring motorcycle and would otherwise spend extra money adding comfort and convenience equipment. It is less compelling for someone who wants a manual transmission, electronically adjustable suspension, serious off-road capability, or a broad choice of U.S. trims.
There is no basis in the current U.S. product listing alone to call the 2026 motorcycle a major mechanical redesign. The responsible conclusion is that Honda has carried the NT1100 DCT package into 2026 with a $100 MSRP increase and a Gray Metallic colorway highlighted by the American product page.

- Confirm that the dealer is quoting the 2026 NT1100 DCT rather than a different model year.
- Separate the $11,999 MSRP from the $775 destination charge and all local taxes, registration costs, fees, and installed accessories.
- Ask whether the motorcycle includes the luggage you want or whether panniers and mounting hardware are additional.
- Confirm the DCT configuration during the sales process; the U.S. model is not the manual European configuration.
- Check the latest Honda specification sheet for any detail that has changed from the 2025 launch information.
- Use Honda’s dealer and inventory tools, then confirm actual availability directly with the dealer.
Bottom line: Honda fans no longer need to wait for the NT1100 to reach America. It arrived for 2025 and remains listed as a 2026 U.S. model. The American motorcycle is a DCT-only, road-focused sport-tourer with a 1,084cc parallel twin and an unusually complete standard touring package. Its defining drawbacks are equally clear: U.S. buyers do not get the manual configuration, and the American lineup does not match every European suspension option.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Honda NT1100 automatic in the United States?
The U.S. NT1100 uses Honda’s six-speed Dual-Clutch Transmission. Based on the launch and current U.S. product information, American Honda offers the NT1100 as a DCT-only configuration rather than with the conventional manual gearbox available in some other markets.
How much does the 2026 Honda NT1100 cost?
Honda’s current U.S. listing shows a $11,999 base MSRP for the 2026 NT1100 DCT, plus a $775 destination charge. Taxes, title, registration, licensing, dealer fees, dealer-installed options, and dealer pricing are additional.
Is the NT1100 an Africa Twin?
The U.S. NT1100 uses a 1,084cc liquid-cooled Unicam parallel twin related to the Africa Twin engine family, but the motorcycle itself is configured as a road-focused sport-tourer with 17-inch wheels and touring bodywork.
Does the Honda NT1100 come with panniers?
Hard luggage is promoted as an optional Honda accessory rather than something buyers should automatically assume is included in the base motorcycle. Honda’s 2025 feature information lists saddlebag capacities of 37 liters on the left and 36 liters on the right.
The Bottom Line
The NT1100 already came to America. The 2026 U.S. model is listed at $11,999 before a $775 destination charge and other costs. It is a DCT-only sport-tourer with Africa Twin-related engine architecture, substantial standard touring equipment, and optional luggage. Buyers should not confuse it with European manual or electronic-suspension versions.
