That production run changes the meaning of the price. The RR is not simply a $110,000 alternative to a more affordable Road Glide. Its cost reflects a combination of limited availability, hand assembly, collector appeal and expensive components that are unusual on a production bagger.
Harley’s official product information and request-a-quote path do not establish whether an unallocated example or current dealer inventory remained available as of August 12, 2026. Prospective buyers would need to confirm availability directly with a selected authorized dealer.
Harley’s most powerful production motorcycle at launch
The CVO Road Glide RR uses Harley-Davidson’s Screamin’ Eagle 131 Milwaukee-Eight V-twin. Its 131 cubic inches equate to 2,147 cc.

The engine is a Stage IV unit with CNC-ported cylinder heads, Screamin’ Eagle internals and a SE8-550 camshaft. Harley describes it as the most powerful Milwaukee-Eight variant it had factory-installed in a production motorcycle.
The 153-hp and 150-lb-ft figures are manufacturer-claimed specifications. They should not be confused with rear-wheel output from an independent dynamometer, and the available launch material does not provide independent acceleration, top-speed or braking-test results.
What makes the RR different from a regular Road Glide?
The RR’s performance upgrades cover the engine, gearing, exhaust, suspension, brakes, chassis and bodywork. Harley’s goal was to bring some of the lessons from its King of the Baggers racing program to a street-legal production motorcycle.
Race-inspired engine and gearing
The Screamin’ Eagle 131 is paired with a 68-mm throttle body, a washable high-flow air filter and a Screamin’ Eagle Racing King six-speed transmission.
Harley also lowered the final-drive gearing to sharpen acceleration. The RR uses a 30-tooth output sprocket, compared with the standard Road Glide’s 32-tooth sprocket. That change favors stronger drive out of corners and more immediate response, although it can also mean higher engine speed at a given road speed than a taller-geared motorcycle.

Titanium Akrapovič exhaust
The exhaust system is a full titanium Akrapovič 2-into-1 design with carbon-fiber heat shields. Harley says it was co-developed with its Factory Racing program, weighs more than 10 pounds less than the standard Milwaukee-Eight exhaust system and meets 50-state emissions requirements.
A 2-into-1 system also fits the RR’s performance focus better than a traditional touring-oriented arrangement: it reduces weight and packages the exhaust around a motorcycle intended to turn harder and carry speed more aggressively.
Öhlins suspension and Brembo GP4-RX brakes
The chassis hardware is substantially more specialized than what buyers typically expect from a large touring bagger. It includes:
- 43-mm Öhlins FGR inverted front forks;
- Fully adjustable race-spec Öhlins suspension;
- Dual Screamin’ Eagle Öhlins remote-reservoir rear shocks;
- A billet-aluminum swingarm; and
- Brembo GP4-RX CNC-machined calipers with a 320-mm T-Drive rotor.
The billet swingarm illustrates how far Harley went with the component specification. Harley says it is machined from a 220-pound block of 6061 aluminum and reduced to an 18-pound finished part.
The RR retains the mass and wheelbase of a large bagger, so it is not a lightweight sportbike in disguise. But high-end suspension, a stiffer and lighter swingarm, powerful brakes and race-oriented geometry can make a major difference in how confidently such a large motorcycle handles hard braking, corner entry and rapid direction changes.
Carbon fiber and serialized details
The bodywork uses carbon fiber with its woven pattern visible beneath clearcoat. The motorcycle also carries a serialized riser clamp, reinforcing the RR’s dual role as both a performance machine and a limited-edition collector motorcycle.
Those details are not merely cosmetic in the pricing discussion. Carbon fiber can reduce weight in selected components, while billet aluminum, titanium and CNC-machined brake hardware are costly materials and manufacturing processes. Harley has not published a component-by-component explanation of the $110,000 price, however, so the premium should be understood as the combined cost of engineering, materials, assembly, exclusivity and finish—not as a simple calculation of dollars per horsepower.

The closest useful comparison is Harley-Davidson’s CVO Road Glide ST. It brought some of the same performance-bagger influence to a much less exclusive motorcycle and was priced in the approximately $45,000 range, depending on the applicable market and specification.

| Approximate U.S. price | $110,000 | Approximately $45,000 |
| Peak horsepower | 153 hp | 127 hp |
| Peak torque | 150 lb-ft | 145 lb-ft |

The ST is not an equivalent substitute for the RR. The RR has 26 more claimed horsepower, 5 more lb-ft of claimed torque and a far more specialized parts package. Its Öhlins FGR fork, GP4-RX brakes, titanium exhaust, billet swingarm, carbon-fiber bodywork and 131-unit production run account for much of the distinction.
For a rider who wants a fast Harley performance bagger rather than a collectible, the ST illustrates the trade-off clearly: much of the concept can be accessed for substantially less money, but without the RR’s output, hardware, serialized scarcity or hand-assembled status.
Is the CVO Road Glide RR a touring motorcycle?
It is street legal and retains the basic Road Glide bagger format, including touring-oriented bodywork, luggage and a six-gallon tank. But calling it a conventional long-distance touring motorcycle would miss the point.

The RR is better described as a street-legal race-inspired performance bagger. Its lower gearing, aggressive engine tune, race-spec suspension, high-end brakes and weight-saving materials are aimed at high-speed control and cornering performance. The large fairing, luggage and relaxed seat height preserve some touring practicality, but they do not turn the RR into a traditional comfort-first touring machine.
At 785 pounds in running order, it remains a substantial motorcycle. The 28.5-inch laden seat height is relatively accessible for a bagger of this performance level, but managing the bike at parking-lot speeds, maneuvering it fully loaded or lifting it from an awkward angle will still demand care.
What ownership of a $110,000 limited-production bagger involves
The RR’s rarity affects more than the purchase decision. Owners should treat it as a specialized, high-value motorcycle rather than assuming that every Road Glide accessory or service part will fit.
- Confirm fitment before buying accessories. The carbon-fiber bodywork, specialized suspension and unique exhaust mean that generic Road Glide parts may not be appropriate.
- Protect the motorcycle properly. A model-specific motorcycle cover should be checked against the RR’s dimensions and bodywork before purchase. For a motorcycle of this value, indoor, climate-controlled storage is preferable where practical.
- Use appropriate riding equipment. A properly certified motorcycle helmet and complete protective riding gear are especially important on a 153-hp performance motorcycle. The launch announcement does not identify a specific helmet or gear product, so buyers should choose equipment independently of the bike’s branding.
- Verify service support. Because production is limited and the motorcycle uses unusual Öhlins, Brembo, Akrapovič and Screamin’ Eagle components, owners should confirm that their dealer can support the exact RR specification.
- Document the serialized motorcycle. The limited production number, hand assembly and unusual component package make careful records, secure storage and specialist insurance sensible considerations.
Harley’s performance-parts information also identifies related Screamin’ Eagle performance parts, Öhlins suspension and brake components, and the Screamin’ Eagle Pro Street Tuner. Those parts should not automatically be treated as upgrades for every Road Glide, and compatibility with the RR should be confirmed through an authorized Harley-Davidson dealer or qualified technician.

Why Harley built it
The CVO Road Glide RR is a direct expression of the King of the Baggers idea: take a motorcycle traditionally associated with highway touring and develop it for serious race-track performance. Harley says its Factory Racing work supplied the knowledge and components behind the RR, but the production motorcycle is still a street-legal machine—not a factory race bike.

That distinction matters. The RR offers a road-going version of race-derived thinking, complete with luggage, road equipment and a warranty. It does not have the operating environment, setup compromises or purpose of a MotoAmerica competition motorcycle.
Is the $110,000 price justified?
There is no objective horsepower calculation that makes the price easy to justify. A less expensive Harley-Davidson performance bagger delivers much of the same basic idea, and a conventional sportbike can offer more speed and agility for a fraction of the cost.
The RR’s value proposition is narrower:
- Performance: 153 claimed horsepower, 150 lb-ft of claimed torque and a 6,500-rpm redline.
- Hardware: Öhlins race-spec suspension, Brembo GP4-RX brakes, titanium Akrapovič exhaust and a billet-aluminum swingarm.
- Materials: carbon fiber, titanium, machined aluminum and other premium components.
- Exclusivity: only 131 serialized U.S. motorcycles were announced.
- Provenance: a factory production model connected to Harley-Davidson’s King of the Baggers racing program.
- Ownership support: a factory-backed 24-month, unlimited-mile limited warranty at launch.
For a rider shopping purely for transportation or measurable performance per dollar, the RR is difficult to defend. For a collector or Harley-Davidson enthusiast who wants a rare, factory-built performance bagger with visible racing influence, the price buys far more than engine output.
