Why can’t I find the movie by searching “F1”?
Apple TV also carries live Formula 1 programming in the U.S., so searching only for F1 can bring up races, coverage, or other Formula 1 content. Use the complete title, F1 The Movie, to narrow the results to the feature film.
If the title still does not appear, confirm that you are signed in to the intended Apple Account, update the Apple TV app, and check your regional Apple TV catalog. Streaming rights and pricing are not necessarily identical in every country.

Is the December 12 date still relevant?
Only as the launch date. Apple announced December 12, 2025, as the film’s global streaming debut. That date has passed, so it is inaccurate to describe the movie as waiting for release or as starting on Apple TV on December 12. It is currently available in the catalog, subject to regional availability and the active subscription offer.
What is F1 The Movie about?
The film stars Brad Pitt as former driver Sonny Hayes, who returns to Formula 1 to help a struggling team and mentor a younger teammate. It was directed by Joseph Kosinski, whose previous racing film, Top Gun: Maverick, also emphasized large-format spectacle and practical-feeling action. For car enthusiasts, the Apple TV release is the convenient way to watch the feature after its theatrical run without needing to track down a digital rental listing.
