What is the Hennessey Super Venom?
It is Hennessey Performance’s conversion of a Mustang GT or Dark Horse, rather than a Ford-built model in the Mustang lineup. The package combines engine changes, aerodynamic parts and other equipment. The 2025 announcement said customers could choose a GT coupe or Dark Horse, with either a six-speed manual or 10-speed automatic transmission. What does the Super Venom package include?
Supercharged 5.0-liter V8
Hennessey lists a 5.0-liter Coyote V8 with a high-performance supercharger, high-flow air induction, upgraded fuel injectors and fuel pump, and a Hennessey engine-management calibration. The company rates the package at 850 bhp at 7,250 rpm and 650 lb-ft at 4,900 rpm. Those are Hennessey-published specifications, not independently measured output. VenomAero aerodynamic components
The VenomAero package uses carbon-fiber pieces that Hennessey describes as including a front splitter, functional hood vent and fender louvers, side skirts, a rear-deck component and a fixed rear track wing. Hennessey VP of Engineering Brian Jones said the track-pack enhancements deliver improved handling and grip, better cooling and aerodynamic performance. These are the company’s claimed benefits; the available material does not establish them through independent testing.

Additional Dark Horse equipment
Hennessey’s October 2025 Dark Horse equipment list also names 20-inch lightweight wheels, leather and Alcantara interior upgrades, professional installation, chassis-dyno tuning and road testing, and a serial-numbered engine plaque. Equipment may differ by base car or package; confirm the build sheet for a specific order.
How fast is it?
For the automatic car, Hennessey claimed a 0–60 mph time of 3.2 seconds and a quarter-mile run of 10.9 seconds at 133 mph. The company compared the quarter-mile claim with a stock Dark Horse figure of 12 seconds at 118.4 mph. These are manufacturer-published figures, not independently verified test results in the available evidence. Hennessey has not established here how variables such as surface, weather, vehicle configuration or test procedure affect those results. The 2025 announcement is the source for the figures and comparison.

How many will be built?
Hennessey’s February 2025 announcement described a 91-vehicle limited-production run. In April 2026, Hennessey Media announced a separate 35-car 35th-anniversary edition. Those are distinct announcements and editions; the 35-car figure does not replace or revise the original 91-car figure. The 2025 announcement and the 2026 anniversary-edition announcement give the respective production figures.
What did it cost, and what warranty was announced?
In 2025, Hennessey announced starting prices of $149,950 for the Super Venom GT and $163,950 for the Dark Horse. These are dated announcement prices, not confirmation of today’s pricing or availability. The same announcement described a three-year/36,000-mile Hennessey limited warranty plus the Ford factory warranty. Buyers should review the warranty booklet and confirm what applies to their specific vehicle and conversion before committing. Hennessey’s announcement is the source for those terms.

Manual or automatic, GT or Dark Horse?
Choose the base car and transmission around how you intend to use the Mustang, rather than assuming the published acceleration figures settle the question. Hennessey’s launch video framed the choice as a six-speed manual versus a 10-speed automatic, and its 2025 release confirms both transmissions and both GT coupe and Dark Horse platforms. The cited performance figures are specifically for the automatic car; they do not provide an equivalent manual-versus-automatic test.
- Start with the base trim: compare the GT and Dark Horse equipment and cost for the exact build being offered.
- Choose the transmission: consider whether you prefer a manual’s direct involvement or an automatic’s role in the company’s published acceleration claims.
- Match the package to use: assess whether the added track-focused aero and equipment suit your road and track plans. No independent comparative test here establishes which configuration handles better.
- Get the commercial terms in writing: confirm the current price, build slot, included equipment and applicable warranty for the specific car.

The 2025 announcement said buyers could order through Hennessey or authorized Ford dealers and named dealers at the time.
