Harley-Davidson’s 2026 Touring Updates: Should Indian Pursuit and Roadmaster Buyers Worry?

Harley-Davidson’s 2026 Street Glide Limited and Road Glide Limited start near Indian’s Pursuit and Roadmaster PowerPlus, but price proximity is not proof of a competitive advantage.

Harley-Davidson’s 2026 lineup adds the Street Glide Limited and Road Glide Limited, but the available official information does not show that Indian’s Pursuit or Roadmaster is under measurable threat. The new Limited models start at $32,999 in the United States, close to Indian’s $32,499 starting prices for the 2026 Pursuit and Roadmaster PowerPlus. That makes them direct price-positioning rivals—not proof of a performance, comfort, or sales advantage.

What Harley-Davidson is bringing out for 2026

Harley-Davidson’s 2026 Grand American Touring range includes the Street Glide and Road Glide, plus the all-new Street Glide Limited and Road Glide Limited, according to the company’s US touring lineup and 2026 brochure. The official materials establish a 2026-model-year update; they do not establish a later model-year launch.

Harley describes the broader 2026 Grand American Touring and CVO families as receiving powertrain upgrades, updated aerodynamics, suspension changes, and rider technology. Its materials mention Milwaukee-Eight 117 and VVT 117 engines in the touring range, as well as High Output 121 upgrades across the broader families. These are manufacturer descriptions, not independent comparative test results. The brochure is a Harley-Davidson publication, and regional specifications can differ.

How the listed prices compare in the United States

The figures below are manufacturer-listed starting prices or MSRP on current US pages, accessed October 4, 2026. Harley’s listings use “+”; these are not out-the-door prices and do not include all dealer, tax, or other charges. Confirm current local pricing and the exact model configuration with a dealer.

2026 Indian Pursuit $32,499 starting US MSRP (Indian Motorcycle)
Indian Roadmaster PowerPlus $32,499 US MSRP (Indian Motorcycle)

Harley’s Limited models are positioned $500 above the listed Indian starting prices. The standard Street Glide and Road Glide are listed lower, but they are different trims; price alone does not establish equivalent equipment or overall value. Harley’s lineup page also lists the CVO Street Glide ST and CVO Road Glide ST from $44,999 each, CVO Street Glide from $49,999, and CVO Street Glide Limited from $51,999.

What the published specifications say—and don’t say

Indian Pursuit PowerPlus 112

Indian says the Pursuit’s PowerPlus 112 produces 126 hp and 133 ft-lb of torque from the factory. The company also lists blind-spot warning, tailgate warning, rear-collision warning, Bike Hold Control, an electronic combined brake system, lean-sensitive ABS, and traction control as standard equipment. Those specifications and equipment claims are from Indian’s Pursuit page; compare the exact trim and configuration when shopping.

Indian Roadmaster PowerPlus

Indian lists the Roadmaster PowerPlus from $32,499 US MSRP and presents it as a combination of touring comfort, the PowerPlus engine, and technology. The available published details do not establish a direct, feature-by-feature comparison with the Harley-Davidson Limited models.

Harley-Davidson Limited models

Harley’s materials identify the new Limited models, engine options, and broad updates to aerodynamics, suspension, and infotainment. They do not provide independent evidence in the available information that either Limited is faster, more comfortable, or better equipped overall than an Indian Pursuit or Roadmaster.

Should Indian touring-bike buyers be worried?

Not on the evidence currently available. The 2026 Harley-Davidson Limited models give shoppers new options in the same general touring-price neighborhood as the Indian Pursuit and Roadmaster PowerPlus. Whether they are a better choice depends on the particular trims, equipment, fit, and riding preferences—not the launch wording or the small difference in starting price.

A fair comparison should match model year and trim, then check the full equipment list, engine specifications, touring and passenger provisions, and the actual price quoted by dealers. Published specifications can narrow the choice, but they do not answer how the motorcycles compare in real-world handling, comfort, reliability, or value. No independent head-to-head ride comparison is established by the cited manufacturer information.

How to evaluate them before buying

  1. Compare like with like. Set the Street Glide Limited and Road Glide Limited against the Indian model and trim that best match your intended use; do not assume the lower-priced standard Harley models have the Limited models’ equipment.
  2. Get a written, itemized quote. Manufacturer starting prices are not out-the-door totals. Ask dealers to identify taxes, fees, freight, setup, options, and any other charges separately.
  3. Check the exact equipment on the bike. Confirm standard and optional features by model, trim, and region rather than carrying equipment claims from one model to another.
  4. Ride both if possible. A test ride is the practical way to judge fit and comfort for your body and typical routes. Harley-Davidson’s Authorized Rentals and EagleRider Rentals and Tours are another possible way to experience a Harley, subject to local availability and terms.
