As of Cycle Gear/Common Tread’s September 2025 review and Harley-Davidson’s 2024 parts-catalog references, the U.S. connection was the X350RA training motorcycle used for Riding Academy courses; the road-legal version was sold in select Asian and Oceanian markets. The evidence does not establish U.S. retail availability.
Is the Harley-Davidson X 350 available in the U.S.?
Not as an established consumer road-bike offering in the sources available as of September 2025. Cycle Gear/Common Tread reported that the U.S.-spec X350RA was used in Harley-Davidson Riding Academy courses, while the road-legal X 350 remained limited to selected Asian and Oceanian markets. Harley-Davidson’s 2024 parts catalog lists distinct U.S. and non-U.S. configuration references, but a parts-catalog entry alone does not confirm public sales or the present deployment of training bikes. Availability may change.
That distinction matters: “U.S.-spec” here refers to configuration references and the training-bike context, not proof that an American buyer could register and ride a new X 350 purchased through U.S. retail channels.
What kind of motorcycle is the X 350?
The X 350 is a compact street naked with flat-tracker-inspired styling, not a large-displacement cruiser. Harley-Davidson describes its look as “American flat-tracker styling” inspired by the XR750, and presents the liquid-cooled 353 cc parallel twin as an urban street-riding engine. Those are the manufacturer’s descriptions. The model’s Chinese manufacturing connection is part of its story: the parts catalog identifies Zhejiang Qianjiang Motorcycle Co. in relevant VIN and manufacturing information, and Common Tread describes the X 350 as a restyled, reworked relation to the Benelli 302S—not simply a badge swap.

As reviewer Dustin Wheelen put it, “The X350 may bear the bar and shield, but it’s a product of Chinese manufacturer Qianjiang Motorcycle Company Limited (QJMOTOR).” Whether that makes it feel like a “real Harley” is a matter of brand identity and personal judgment; the manufacturing and product facts are clearer than any universal verdict.

Why published power figures differ
Published figures vary by source and model-year context, so the rpm qualification should stay attached to each number. Harley-Davidson Australia’s 2025 listing gives 36 hp at 9,500 rpm. Common Tread’s specification table for the 2024 model reports 36 hp at 8,500 rpm and 22.9 lb-ft of torque at 7,000 rpm. The available material does not reconcile the different horsepower peak rpm figures; they should not be treated as interchangeable or silently combined.

Common Tread’s September 2025 article also reports a Japan price of ¥699,800. That is a market-specific figure for the reviewed bike, not a U.S. MSRP.
What the first ride was like
Wheelen rode a road-legal X 350 in Japan for 24 hours. He found it light and quick to place in crowded city traffic, with responsive throttle and useful torque in urban riding. He also found the seat uncomfortable over the test. These are one reviewer’s impressions from a Japan ride, not a U.S. road test or a broad owner survey.

The test bike’s reported tires were a Maxxis Supermaxx ST 120/70ZR17 at the front and a Michelin Pilot Road 4 160/60ZR17 at the rear. Those are details of the reviewed motorcycle, not a guarantee that every market or model year uses the same fitment.

Harley-Davidson’s Australian 2025 specification lists a 120/70-ZR17/58W front and 160/60-ZR17/69W rear. The 2024 parts catalog lists a 120/70 ZR17 tire. Before ordering a replacement, verify the exact model, market, year, dimensions, and load and speed ratings against the motorcycle’s documentation; a catalog entry for one tire size is not confirmation of every tire specification.
