Gunther Werks’ Project End Game is a one-of-one, open-top Turbo Speedster based on the Porsche 993. The company calls it the finale of its Speedster program and the first one-of-one creation from its GWX bespoke coachbuilding program. Its power figure is disputed: Gunther Werks lists 850 hp, while Car and Driver reports 840 hp.
What is Project End Game?
Project End Game is a completed, one-off commission—not a regular-production Porsche or a generally available Gunther Werks model. Gunther Werks describes it as the final Speedster in its program and the first one-of-one vehicle from GWX, its bespoke coachbuilding program. The company uses “Project End Game” on its commission page; Car and Driver writes the name as “Project Endgame.”
The car is an open-top Turbo Speedster built around the Porsche 993, the 911 generation produced in the 1990s. Gunther Werks says the commission was developed in collaboration with its client. CEO and founder Peter Nam told Car and Driver: “Project Endgame is unlike any Speedster we’ve built before, with every element precision-engineered and designed in absolute collaboration with the client.”
How much horsepower does it make?
The published figures do not match: Gunther Werks lists 850 hp, while Car and Driver reported 840 hp in an article dated April 22, 2026. Neither source explains the 10-hp difference, so it is best to treat these as conflicting reported specifications, not as the result of an independent test.

Gunther Werks specifies a Rothsport Racing 4.0-liter twin-turbo flat-six, rated at 7,500 rpm, paired with a six-speed manual transmission and rear-wheel drive. The company describes the body as full carbon fiber. These are published specifications; the sources do not provide independent weight measurements, dyno results, acceleration figures, or a top-speed test.
Is this the last Gunther Werks Speedster?
It is the Speedster program finale according to Gunther Werks, but that is not the same as saying the company is ending all bespoke builds. The manufacturer frames Project End Game as the culmination of its Speedster program and a distinct GWX commission. Nam also told Car and Driver that, at the client’s request, it would be the only Speedster powered by an air-cooled turbocharged engine.
