Guinness World Records: individual record
Who holds the individual record?
Venkata Karthik Tupili of India holds the current Guinness World Records listing for the longest motorcycle journey in a single country by an individual. The record distance is 140,094.1 km (87,050.44 mi), ridden in India between 14 February 2022 and 6 October 2023. Guinness says Tupili averaged 300 km per day across 450 days. These are the figures on the official listing accessed 8 October 2026; Guinness notes that records can change and may not appear online immediately after they are set.
The page specifies that applicants for the individual title must be at least 16 years old. It does not publish detailed evidence requirements on the listing, so route-logging or witness rules should not be inferred from the record summary.
How does this compare with other single-country categories?
Guinness lists separate records for an individual, a team, and a female rider. They are distinct categories rather than competing entries in one combined ranking.

Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. Is it the longest motorcycle journey ever?
No. The single-country record is different from Guinness’ overall longest motorcycle journey record. Emilio Scotto’s journey covered more than 735,000 km (457,000 mi) and 214 countries and territories between 17 January 1985 and 2 April 1995. Because that journey crossed many countries, it is not a rival entry in the single-country category. See the overall journey listing, accessed 8 October 2026.
