The Gunther Werks GWX is an invitation-only bespoke program for remastered Porsche 911s, not a standard Porsche production model. Gunther Werks announced it on August 13, 2025, saying three builds were planned; its current program page describes one-of-one commissions as well as few-off editions. Those are different, dated descriptions—not confirmation of a final production total.
What is the Gunther Werks GWX?
GWX is Gunther Werks’ invitation-only extension of its Porsche 911 remastering work. The company describes the program as involving close collaboration with clients, with scope for both one-of-one commissions and limited “few-off” editions. Its founder and CEO, Peter Nam, said at the launch: “Our new GWX takes all we have learned with remastering the Porsche 911 platform and pushes it even further.”
Gunther Werks is an independent specialist, not Porsche. The company says its services are not affiliated with, associated with, or endorsed by Porsche.
How many GWX cars will be built?
Gunther Werks’ August 13, 2025 announcement said three builds were planned. The current GWX page uses broader language, describing one-of-one commissions and few-off editions. The public statements do not establish how many cars have been completed, whether the original three-build plan changed, or a final total across the program.

What can be customized?
Gunther Werks says a commission may include unique engine configurations, advanced racing technologies, custom-dyed leathers, and Alcantara detailing. The range of possibilities is not the same as a confirmed specification for every GWX: the company has not published a complete build sheet covering the program.
The car displayed during Monterey Car Week 2025 was described by Wallpaper* as metallic purple, with a boosted engine and carbon-fiber body. Those details describe the displayed car, not necessarily every GWX commission.

What are the GWX’s price and specifications?
The public sources reviewed do not state a GWX price, a complete engine specification, a power figure, an acceleration figure, or a delivery schedule. Although the program page says clients may specify engine configurations, it does not identify a standard engine or publish performance figures. Figures for other Gunther Werks commissions or factory Porsche models should not be treated as GWX specifications.
