There is no well-supported universal ranking of the “top 10” GPS vehicle tracking companies. For business fleets in the United States, the providers below are a practical shortlist—not a ranked top ten—based on documented fleet-tracking capabilities and inclusion in contemporary comparison coverage. The available evidence supports useful descriptions of four companies; it identifies three others without enough detail to endorse their current features or pricing.
What a GPS vehicle tracking system does
Fleet GPS tracking uses location data to show where vehicles or other assets are. Depending on the provider, product and subscription, that visibility may also connect to dispatch, route history, vehicle diagnostics, driver behavior, maintenance, compliance, safety, and fuel management. These capabilities are not automatically included in every plan, and the term “real time” is not defined identically by every vendor.
For example, Samsara describes tracking for vehicles, trailers, and equipment alongside routing, maintenance, compliance, and fuel and energy tools. Geotab describes live location, dispatch, alerts, driver behavior monitoring, reports, and GO telematics devices. Verizon Connect describes near-real-time vehicle locations, route history, dispatch, fuel and idling analysis, and reporting.
GPS vehicle tracking companies to compare
This shortlist is for businesses evaluating fleet GPS and telematics, rather than consumers looking for a standalone tracker. The order is alphabetical, not a performance ranking. The available evidence does not establish a consistent, current scoring method for naming ten leaders, so this article does not fill the list to ten with unsupported claims.

Azuga
Azuga appears in comparison and category sources as a fleet-management provider, but the available material does not establish enough current product, hardware, or pricing detail to describe its offer reliably. Ask for a plan-specific feature list and written quote before comparing it with the providers below. In a vendor-published 2025 comparison, Samsara reported satisfaction figures of 84% for itself and 64% for Azuga; those figures are not an independent ranking and should not be treated as a like-for-like purchasing score.
Geotab
Geotab’s product description combines a live fleet map with dispatch, alerts, driver behavior monitoring, fuel and maintenance reporting, and GO telematics devices. Confirm which device configuration, reports, integrations, and software modules fit your vehicles and operation; a general product description does not establish that every capability is included in every package.
GPS Trackit
GPS Trackit is named in contemporary fleet GPS comparison coverage. The available material does not support detailed claims about its current features, hardware, contract terms, or pricing. Treat it as a provider to investigate, then verify those details directly against your requirements.

Motive
Motive appears in fleet-provider comparison coverage and in G2’s Winter 2024 Fleet Management Grid. The available evidence here is not sufficient to make current, detailed claims about its tracking hardware, plans, or included functions. G2’s category is broader than GPS tracking, and its reported data were collected through November 21, 2023, so the grid is historical category context rather than a current product ranking.
Samsara
Samsara describes real-time GPS tracking for vehicles, trailers, and equipment, with routing and dispatch, diagnostics, maintenance, ELD compliance, fuel and energy management, and integrations. These are vendor-described capabilities, not independent findings about performance or outcomes. Confirm which functions, devices, and integrations are included in the proposed configuration.
Samsara’s 2025 comparison report published satisfaction values of 84% for Samsara, 76% for Geotab, 74% for Powerfleet, 71% for Zonar, 70% for Motive, 67% for Verizon Connect, and 64% for Azuga. Because Samsara published the figures and has an interest in the comparison, they should not be read as neutral market-wide scores; review the report’s methodology before using them to make a decision.
Rank #3

Teletrac Navman
Teletrac Navman describes GPS fleet and asset tracking and driver data. The available product description does not establish feature parity with other providers or specify which functions are included by plan. Confirm the relevant product, geography, and modules for your fleet.
Verizon Connect
Verizon Connect describes near-real-time fleet views, route history, dispatch coordination, fuel and idling monitoring, and digital reporting. The exact bundle, service availability, and contract should be confirmed in a current quote for your location and fleet.
How to compare providers for your fleet
Use the same requirements and vehicle count when you ask each provider for a proposal. Otherwise, different assumptions about hardware, software, and contract length can make quotes look comparable when they are not.
Rank #4
- 📱 Global Cloud Positioning – Works with both Google's Find Hub and Apple‘s Find My (Not for Huawei app or GPS app)
- 📢 Loud Alert Sound – Built-in speaker with up to 110dB for quick locating
- 🔋 Far Superior Battery Life – Up to 2 years battery life on Android and ios
- 💧 IP68 Waterproof – It provides protection against rainwaterand splashes
- 🔊 Visualize Distance – Visualize distance using Find my & Find Hub technology within Bluetooth range, allowing you to immediately see the distance
- List what you need to track. Identify vehicle types and whether you also need trailer or equipment visibility. Ask each provider to confirm coverage for those asset types and any hardware required.
- Define the location requirement. Ask how frequently locations update under the proposed service, how the provider defines “real time” or “near real time,” and what affects coverage or update behavior.
- Check hardware and installation. Confirm device type, installation requirements, supported diagnostics ports, compatibility with your vehicles, and the process and cost for replacing a device.
- Separate included features from add-ons. Request a written list showing whether dispatch, routing, maintenance, fuel tools, ELD or other compliance functions, and video safety are included, optional, or unavailable for your configuration.
- Verify integrations and data access. Ask which integrations apply to your systems, whether an API or marketplace is available, and what data your team can access and export.
- Evaluate operations and support. Ask about onboarding, driver and manager training, ongoing support, and who handles troubleshooting for devices and software.
- Compare full-term cost and terms. Get hardware charges, installation, connectivity, software modules, contract length, renewal conditions, and any other fees in writing. Compare total cost per vehicle across the same term and feature set—not an isolated monthly headline.
- Confirm geography and regulatory fit. Verify service availability, supported vehicles, and applicable compliance features for every region where the fleet operates.
Why a single “best” provider or price is hard to establish
Provider comparisons use different scopes and dates. G2’s Winter 2024 Fleet Management Grid names Verizon Connect, Motive, Azuga, Samsara, and Geotab among Leaders and Teletrac Navman among Contenders, but it covers fleet management software more broadly than GPS tracking and reflects data collected through November 21, 2023. It is historical category context, not a 2026 ranking.
A comparison page framed for 2026 names Verizon Connect, Samsara, Motive, and Azuga, but its search metadata gives an original publication date years earlier. It is useful as a list of providers and common comparison concerns, not proof of a definitive current top ten.
Nor is there a comparable public price table for all the named companies in the available sources. Some providers require quote requests, and monthly costs can depend on fleet size, hardware, contract term, connectivity, and add-on features. Obtain current written quotes for the same configuration before comparing totals.
