Glen Powell stars as a truck-loving Goldilocks in Ram’s 2025 Super Bowl LIX commercial, “Drive Your Own Story.” The 60-second spot retells “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” with three 2025 Ram trucks: the Ram 1500 Ramcharger, Ram 2500 Rebel and Ram 1500 RHO.
What happens in Ram’s Super Bowl commercial?
Released on February 6, 2025, ahead of Super Bowl LIX on February 9, the ad casts Powell as a storyteller reading a truck-themed version of the familiar fairy tale to his real-life twin niece and nephew. The fantasy brings in porridge, bears, a fire-breathing dragon and volcanoes as Powell’s character tries different trucks before finding one that feels “just right.”
Ram titled the campaign “Drive Your Own Story”; ad listings also call the spot “Goldilocks and the Three Trucks.” David Leitch directed it, and Van Halen’s “Panama” provides the soundtrack. Ram announced a 90-second extended cut on its YouTube channel alongside the 60-second commercial. Ram’s announcement describes the campaign and its extended version.
Which trucks appear in the ad?
| Truck in the commercial | How Ram positions it |
|---|---|
| 2025 Ram 1500 Ramcharger | Electrified option |
| Ram 2500 Rebel | Heavy-duty model |
| Ram 1500 RHO | Off-road-oriented model |
The lineup makes the fairy tale a vehicle-choice story, rather than a comparison of three versions of the same truck. Ram’s announcement presents the trucks as representing electrified, heavy-duty and off-road-focused offerings. The ad’s dragon-and-volcano action is fantasy, not evidence of real-world vehicle capability. For current specifications or pricing, check the official information for each model; the campaign announcement does not provide a full comparison.

What did Ram say the story means?
Stellantis CEO Olivier Francois described the fable as a metaphor rooted in American culture, with Powell’s Goldilocks trying Ram’s 1500, 2500 heavy-duty and Ramcharger 1500. That is the company’s stated interpretation of the commercial, not a finding about how audiences responded.
Was there Ram merchandise tied to the ad?
Ram’s announcement included branded items such as stuffed dragons and bears, apparel, blankets and dragon-wing hot sauce, which it said would be offered through RamTrucks.com. The announcement does not establish whether those items remain in stock or are available from other retailers. Generic dragon plush toys should not be mistaken for official campaign merchandise.
