The most accurate way to understand the reveal is as a preview of a potential Ford Performance Parts power package, rather than as a new trim level. Ford described the package as engineered and tested to its standards, but did not establish that the entire SEMA truck could be ordered by customers in the same configuration.

How the Raptor R reaches more than 900 horsepower
The production Raptor R already uses a 5.2-liter supercharged V8. For the SEMA project, Ford Performance Parts made the supercharger the central upgrade by installing a 3.0-liter Whipple supercharger. The resulting output was described as an increase from the production truck’s 720 horsepower to more than 900 horsepower.
That is an increase of at least 180 horsepower over the current production rating, or roughly 25 percent more power based on the stated figures. It is important to describe that as a comparison of Ford’s published output claims—not as an independent dyno result. The supplied announcement does not provide a dyno sheet, acceleration test, road test, or durability test result for the completed truck.
The upgrade also should not be reduced to the idea that a larger supercharger automatically makes a complete, ready-to-buy package. Why the production Raptor R is rated at 720 horsepower
The 720-horsepower figure is itself the result of an earlier Ford update. For the 2023 model year, Ford said it increased the Raptor R’s output by 20 horsepower compared with the original launch specification through reduced air-inlet losses and optimized calibration. Ford also said the changes produced a broader torque curve.

Factory-backed engineering, emissions, and warranty claims
Ford said the potential supercharger package was designed to be CARB certified and legal in all 50 U.S. states and Canada. That wording matters. It describes the intended legal and emissions position of the potential package; it is not permission to assume that every aftermarket supercharger advertised for a Raptor R has the same certification.

Ford also stated that the package would carry a three-year/36,000-mile U.S. Ford Performance Parts warranty when installed by a Ford dealer or an ASE-certified technician. The other hardware on the SEMA Raptor R
The supercharger was the headline mechanical change, but Ford’s project vehicle also carried several appearance and off-road additions:
- Gloss carbon-fiber appearance package: a visual treatment that helped distinguish the display truck.
- Borla extreme cat-back exhaust: fitted with black-chrome exhaust tips.
- RIGID lighting equipment: additional off-road lighting hardware was part of the build.

The potential power package is a separate question. Ford discussed a possible Ford Performance Parts route to more than 900 horsepower and supplied intended emissions and warranty positioning, but the available information does not confirm its current orderability, price, official part number, release timing, or final retail configuration.
That distinction is especially important in listings and social-media posts. A seller describing a standard 2026 Raptor R as a “900-hp factory model” would be overstating what Ford announced.
