The most accurate expectation is therefore: the earliest official European availability could be sometime in 2027, but Xiaomi has not promised that the YU7 itself will launch across Europe in 2027. Availability may begin in only a small number of countries, and the YU7 may not be among the first Xiaomi EVs offered outside China.

| Version | Chinese launch price |
|---|---|
| YU7 Standard | RMB 253,500 |
| YU7 Pro | RMB 279,900 |
| YU7 Max | RMB 329,900 |
Those figures are useful for understanding the Chinese-market positioning, but they should not be converted directly into expected European prices. A European version would have to account for VAT, transport, import costs, tariffs where applicable, type approval, distribution, local equipment, warranty provision and potentially different software or hardware. Xiaomi’s official YU7 announcement confirms the Chinese launch information and the model’s introduction, not a European sales plan.
Why 2027 keeps appearing
Xiaomi’s broader overseas automotive expansion has repeatedly been associated with 2027. That target is the basis for headlines suggesting that Xiaomi cars are “coming to Europe” in 2027. It does not amount to a published YU7 order date.
There is evidence that Xiaomi is preparing for a European automotive operation. On September 25, 2025, the company announced the opening of its Xiaomi EV Europe Research and Development and Design Center in Munich, Germany. Xiaomi said the facility would work on performance-vehicle projects, electric-vehicle technology, design innovation, customer orientation and advanced research. The announcement is meaningful, but an R&D and design centre is not the same as a retail sales network, a homologated European vehicle or an online order portal. See Xiaomi’s announcement about the Munich centre.
Reporting on Xiaomi’s overseas plans has also identified 2027 as the intended year for European or international automotive expansion. However, the available information does not specify:
- the first European country to receive Xiaomi cars;
- whether Germany will be the first retail market simply because Munich hosts the R&D centre;
- which models will launch first;
- whether the YU7 will be included in the initial European range;
- the order-opening date or delivery schedule; or
- the sales, servicing and distribution model.
In other words, 2027 is a reasonable earliest-window estimate for Xiaomi’s European automotive activity, not a confirmed European YU7 launch commitment. Coverage of the wider target is available from Europa Press.
Will the YU7 definitely be sold in Europe?
No. It is a logical possibility—the YU7 is a new electric SUV, a body style with strong European demand—but there is currently no official announcement confirming that the China-market YU7 will be one of Xiaomi’s first European models.

Xiaomi could launch the SU7, the YU7, both models, or a different combination of vehicles. It could also introduce a European-specification version later than the initial expansion date. Until Xiaomi publishes a model-by-model European plan, saying “the YU7 launches in Europe in 2027” is too definite.

Which European countries will get it first?
No country-by-country launch sequence has been confirmed. Germany may appear to be a likely early market because Xiaomi’s European EV R&D and design centre is in Munich, but that location does not prove that Germany will be the first country where consumers can order a YU7.
European availability could also vary considerably between the EU and the UK. A car approved for one market may require separate regulatory, distribution, tax, connectivity, warranty and registration arrangements in another. Even within the EU, Xiaomi could begin with a limited-market rollout before expanding more widely.
What could change between the Chinese and European YU7?
Xiaomi has not published a final European YU7 specification sheet. Buyers should not assume that an imported Chinese-market car will be identical to a future official European version.
Potential areas of difference include:
- Type approval and safety equipment: the vehicle must satisfy the relevant European approval and registration requirements.
- Cybersecurity and connected-car rules: software, data handling, remote functions and online services may need market-specific treatment.
- Charging and electrical configuration: connector hardware, charging support and public-network compatibility need to be verified for the target country.
- Infotainment and language: menus, voice assistants, maps, app support and cloud services may be limited or different on a China-market vehicle.
- Driver assistance: functions can depend on approved hardware, mapping, software and local regulations.
- Warranty and servicing: a Chinese warranty may not provide the same coverage, repair network or roadside assistance in Europe.
- Equipment and trim names: European versions could have different standard equipment, options and model grades.
Can you import a YU7 before the official European launch?
Possibly, through a specialist exporter or independent importer—but that is not the same as official European availability. An imported Chinese-specification YU7 may create complications with registration, type approval, insurance, financing, software updates, charging, replacement parts and repairs.

- Can the vehicle be insured and financed normally?
- What happens if Xiaomi later restricts connectivity or software functions by region?
A low advertised import price is not a reliable indication of the vehicle’s final cost or ownership experience. Import duty, VAT, shipping, inspection, registration, modifications, insurance and service risks can substantially change the calculation.
When will the YU7 be genuinely “available” to European buyers?
For practical purposes, treat the YU7 as officially buyable in a particular European country only when Xiaomi or its authorised local operation has published most or all of the following:
- a Xiaomi Auto Europe or national Xiaomi announcement;
- a local configurator or order portal;
- European pricing, trim details and options;
- local warranty terms;
- confirmation of type approval and registration eligibility;
- named service, parts and roadside-assistance arrangements;
- supported charging and connected-service information; and
- a stated order and delivery timetable.
A third-party listing for a Chinese-market vehicle does not satisfy that test. Until the official information appears, describe such a car as an unofficial or individually imported YU7, not as a European launch model.

Xiaomi YU7 timeline
| Date | Development | What it means for Europe |
|---|---|---|
| May 22, 2025 | Xiaomi unveils the YU7. | Confirms the model and its Chinese-market introduction, not European availability. |
| June 26, 2025 | Official YU7 sales begin in China. | Shows that the model is commercially established in China. |
| September 25, 2025 | Xiaomi announces its Munich EV Europe R&D and Design Center. | Evidence of European preparation, but not a retail launch. |
| 2025–2026 | Reporting links Xiaomi’s wider European automotive entry with 2027. | Provides an earliest-window expectation without a YU7-specific date. |
| August 12, 2026 | No confirmed YU7 European order date, price or country rollout list is available in the reviewed sources. | The YU7 remains unconfirmed for official European customer orders. |
What can you buy now?
You cannot currently point to a confirmed official European YU7 customer-order programme based on the available announcements. If you simply want something connected with the car while waiting, a Xiaomi YU7 scale model is a collectible, not a substitute for the vehicle and not evidence that the YU7 is on sale in Europe. Check the retailer’s delivery territory, authenticity information and return terms before ordering.
Bottom line
Expect the earliest official Xiaomi automotive availability in Europe sometime in 2027, but there is no confirmed date for buying the YU7. Xiaomi’s Munich facility and its stated 2027 overseas ambition show that a European expansion is being prepared. They do not yet confirm the YU7, a particular country, a price or a delivery timetable.
If you are considering an imported car, wait for clear answers on registration, warranty, software, charging and servicing. For most buyers, the sensible trigger to start comparing prices is a local Xiaomi configurator backed by published European approval and after-sales support—not an importer’s promise that an unofficial car can be delivered.

Frequently Asked Questions
When can I order the Xiaomi YU7 in Europe?
Xiaomi has not announced a specific European customer-order date or delivery date for the YU7. The earliest reasonable expectation is sometime in 2027, based on Xiaomi’s broader European automotive expansion target.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsIs the Xiaomi YU7 definitely launching in Europe in 2027?
No. Xiaomi has associated 2027 with its wider European or overseas automotive expansion. It has not confirmed that the YU7 will be one of the first models sold or that it will launch in every European country that year.
Will Germany get the Xiaomi YU7 first?
Germany may be an important early market because Xiaomi’s European EV R&D and Design Center is in Munich, but Xiaomi has not confirmed Germany as the first YU7 retail market or published a country-by-country rollout list.
Can I import a Xiaomi YU7 before the official European launch?
An imported Chinese-market YU7 may be available through an independent seller, but it is not the same as an official European model. Check registration eligibility, warranty, software and language support, charging compatibility, insurance, parts and servicing before committing.
The Bottom Line
The Xiaomi YU7 could reach Europe in 2027 at the earliest, but Xiaomi has not announced a YU7-specific European order or delivery date. Treat 2027 as the wider automotive-expansion target, not a confirmed launch promise, and be cautious with Chinese-market imports until registration, warranty, software and servicing are documented.
