1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesChoose the Flycon Grove only if your trips are short, a 25 km/h low-speed scooter is adequate, and a local dealer can document the exact battery, warranty and paperwork. HT Auto lists the Grove 48 V, 30 Ah at ₹74,629 ex-showroom and the 60 V, 30 Ah at ₹80,957 ex-showroom. Those are listing prices, not city-specific on-road quotes. Published range figures also conflict: 60 km and 80 km by variant on one listing, a 60–90 km summary elsewhere, and up to 100 km on Flycon’s homepage. None is an independently measured road-test result.
Against scooters listed below ₹1 lakh, the Grove’s advantage is a low entry price and a simple low-speed use case. Its weaknesses are uncertain real-world range, unclear current battery and charging specifications, and the need to verify service and legal paperwork locally. A higher-speed alternative may be the better choice if your route includes fast traffic, longer distances or regular passenger use.

What the Flycon Grove is—and who it suits
Flycon presents the Grove as a low-speed electric scooter. Listings from HT Auto and BikeDekho put its maximum speed at 25 km/h, while Flycon’s own site describes the model as low-speed. That makes the Grove most relevant to short urban errands, campus-style travel, residential roads and riders who prefer a modest purchase price over high performance. It is not automatically the right tool for a long suburban commute or roads where keeping pace with faster traffic is important.

The central buying question is not simply whether the Grove costs less than ₹1 lakh. It is whether the particular variant available in your city has enough usable range, a charging arrangement that fits your home, support for the vehicle after delivery, and paperwork appropriate to the way you will ride it. A 25 km/h claim alone does not settle every registration, insurance or licensing obligation; confirm the exact requirements for the quoted variant with the dealer and the relevant local authority.

Flycon Grove price and variants
HT Auto lists two Grove configurations. The figures below are ex-showroom listing prices accessed in 2026; they are not final on-road prices and may change by city, stock position, taxes, insurance, transport or dealer policy.
| Variant | Listed battery rating | HT Auto ex-showroom listing | HT Auto variant range claim | What to verify |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Grove 48 V, 30 Ah | 48 V, 30 Ah | ₹74,629 | 60 km | Battery chemistry, removable or fixed design, warranty and current city quote |
| Grove 60 V, 30 Ah | 60 V, 30 Ah | ₹80,957 | 80 km | Whether the quoted battery and charger match the advertised variant |
Source: HT Auto’s Flycon Grove listing. Ask for a written, itemised on-road quotation before comparing the Grove with any other scooter. A ₹74,629 ex-showroom listing can become materially more expensive after local charges, and a dealer may quote a different current price.
Range, battery and charging: why the published numbers conflict
There is no single, independently verified Grove range figure in the available information. HT Auto’s page shows 60 km and 80 km in the variant rows, but also displays a 60–90 km summary, a battery-capacity range of 1.4–1.8 kWh and charging statements spanning three to seven hours. BikeDekho lists a 1.44 kWh battery and a BLDC motor, while reporting variant range and charging values that do not entirely match HT Auto. Flycon’s homepage advertises range up to 100 km. These are listing or manufacturer claims, not a controlled test performed over a stated route, speed, rider weight, temperature and terrain.
| Source | Published Grove information | How to use it |
|---|---|---|
| HT Auto | 25 km/h top speed; 60 km and 80 km variant figures; 60–90 km summary; 1.4–1.8 kWh shown; charging statements from 3 to 7 hours | Treat as a listing snapshot. The page does not establish which charging time applies to which battery. |
| BikeDekho | 25 km/h claimed top speed, 1.44 kWh listed battery, BLDC motor, and variant figures that differ from HT Auto | Use to identify a specification discrepancy, not to select a guaranteed range. |
| Flycon Motors | Grove described as low-speed, with range up to 100 km advertised on the homepage | Manufacturer marketing; it is not a variant-by-variant independent test. |
Before paying, request the current specification sheet for the exact vehicle identification or variant code. Have the dealer write down nominal battery voltage, amp-hour rating, chemistry, usable capacity if supplied, charger output, charge-time conditions, whether the pack is removable, and the battery and charger warranty. If the dealer cannot reconcile a 60 km, 80 km, 90 km or 100 km claim, plan around the most conservative credible figure rather than the largest number.

Flycon Grove 48 V vs 60 V: which one makes sense?
Choose the 48 V, 30 Ah listing when the route is genuinely short
The 48 V version is listed at ₹74,629 ex-showroom with a 60 km claimed range. It is the lower-cost entry point and may be sufficient for a short daily loop with charging at home. That claim still needs a safety margin for hills, stop-and-go traffic, rider load, tyre pressure, temperature and battery ageing. Do not plan a daily route that consumes the entire published figure.
Choose the 60 V, 30 Ah listing only after confirming what the extra money buys
The 60 V version is listed at ₹80,957 ex-showroom with an 80 km variant claim. The higher voltage may be associated with a different battery or controller configuration, but the available pages do not establish a complete, current component specification or an independently measured performance advantage. Ask whether the pack has greater usable energy, whether the charger is different, and whether replacement cost and warranty differ. If the dealer cannot answer in writing, the cheaper variant may be easier to evaluate and support.
Do not infer range from voltage alone
Voltage and amp-hours describe an electrical rating, not the distance a particular rider will achieve. A nominal energy estimate can be made by multiplying volts by amp-hours and dividing by 1,000, but usable energy, controller limits, losses and reserve settings are not stated consistently for the Grove. Treat any calculation as a rough comparison, never as a test result.

Source for the snapshot prices and comparison notes: BikeDekho’s Flycon Grove listing and comparisons. The page is useful for building a shortlist, not for declaring a universal winner. A model with a larger battery or higher reported speed can cost more to insure, register or maintain, while a cheaper low-speed scooter can be inconvenient if your route requires faster traffic.
Match the scooter to your daily journey
For short, slow urban errands
The Grove deserves consideration when your one-way distance is modest, roads are compatible with a 25 km/h ceiling, and you can charge where you park. Confirm the exact low-speed classification and the documents supplied with the vehicle. The Ampere Reo, also listed at 25 km/h, is a natural comparison on paper, while lower-priced listings such as the E Luna or Eeva may reduce the initial outlay. Price alone cannot tell you which has better local parts availability.
For longer commutes or mixed-speed roads
Look first at alternatives whose published specifications indicate a higher top speed, such as the S1 Z in the BikeDekho comparison. A higher-speed model may fit a longer route better, but it also requires confirmation of registration, insurance and licence requirements for the exact variant. Do not buy on the assumption that one website’s speed figure is the current homologated specification.

For carrying a passenger or cargo
Ask for the permitted payload, seat dimensions, braking equipment and warranty conditions. The Grove pages cited here do not establish a payload figure or a tested hill-climbing result. A scooter that works for a light solo rider on flat roads may have very different range and braking behaviour with a passenger. If carrying people is routine, a supervised test ride with the intended load is more informative than a headline range.

- Foldable and Portable: E scooter can be folded in 3 seconds, and the weighs only 30lbs. Foldable e-scooter can be portable anywhere, easy to store in your car trunk, office, storage room
For buyers with no private charging point
Check whether the battery is removable, how much it weighs, the charger’s input requirements and whether charging is permitted at your workplace or apartment. A fixed pack can be impractical if the scooter is parked far from an outlet. A removable pack still needs a safe, dry charging location and a socket that can handle the charger. Get the answer in writing; the cited listings do not reliably establish the current Grove battery arrangement.
Range planning that does not rely on advertising
Start with your real route, not the largest published number. Record the round-trip kilometres for a normal week, including detours, and add a reserve for weather, traffic, hills and battery ageing. If the route approaches the conservative end of the Grove’s published 60–80 km variant claims, charge more frequently or choose a model with a verified larger usable battery.
- Ask the dealer what test condition produced the quoted range: speed, rider mass, road gradient, tyre pressure, temperature and whether the figure is full-to-empty or includes a reserve.
- Ask whether the range is for the 48 V or 60 V variant; the pages do not make every figure variant-specific.
- During a test ride, reset the trip meter and note battery percentage before and after a repeatable route. This is your own observation, not a laboratory result, so repeat it in representative traffic.
- Budget charging time around the published three-to-seven-hour span until the dealer confirms the charger and battery combination for your scooter.

Map service and parts access
Obtain the address and phone number of the authorised service point that will handle your scooter. Ask typical lead times for a charger, controller, brake parts and battery, and whether roadside assistance exists. Search results do not establish service quality or inventory in any particular city; only a local written commitment can reduce that uncertainty.
Check the handover documents
Before accepting delivery, match the invoice, vehicle identification number, battery serial number, charger rating and warranty card. Verify that the speed classification and any registration or insurance documents correspond to the exact variant. Photograph the odometer, battery label and charger label at handover.
Legal and safety questions for a 25 km/h scooter
Low-speed marketing language is not a substitute for checking the rules that apply where you live. Ask the dealer and local transport authority whether the exact Grove variant needs registration, a number plate, insurance or a driving licence, and what equipment is mandatory. Keep the written answer with your purchase documents. If you later modify the controller, battery or speed settings, the original classification and warranty may no longer apply.
Recommended Free Tools
Regardless of category, use a helmet, functional lights and brakes, and ride within the scooter’s rated load. A low top speed reduces closing speed but does not remove the risk from turning traffic, potholes or wet roads. Test the brakes with the intended rider and inspect tyre condition before regular use.
A step-by-step buying decision
- Measure the trip. Write down your longest regular round trip, road type, hills, passenger load and available charging location.
- Pick the speed category. If 25 km/h is too slow for the route, remove the Grove and other low-speed candidates from the shortlist rather than hoping the claim is conservative.
- Request matching documents. Get the current spec sheet, battery and charger details, warranty terms, legal paperwork and a city-specific on-road quote for the exact variant.
- Compare alternatives on the same basis. Use the BikeDekho prices as a starting list, then obtain equivalent written quotes and service contacts for the Reo, E Luna, S1 Z, QC1, XGT CAT 2.0, Eeva, S1 X and Jaunty-3W.
- Test the practical fit. Check seating, reach to the controls, stand operation, turning space, braking, storage and whether the scooter can be moved to your charging point.
- Buy only after resolving discrepancies. If range, battery chemistry, charging time or warranty differs between the advertisement and the paperwork, treat the written document as the basis of the decision—or walk away.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Using ₹74,629 or ₹80,957 as the final amount payable; both are HT Auto ex-showroom listings.
- Quoting the Flycon homepage’s up-to-100-km statement as the tested range of every Grove variant.
- Assuming the 60–90 km summary, 60 km and 80 km variant rows, and BikeDekho’s figures describe the same test.
- Choosing the 60 V version without confirming its usable capacity, charger and warranty advantage.
- Assuming 25 km/h means no paperwork is required in every state or city.
- Ignoring service distance because the purchase price is low.
- Comparing a low-speed scooter with a faster model only by battery size or advertised kilometres.
Verdict: which should you choose?
Choose the Flycon Grove 48 V if the written on-road quote is meaningfully lower, your trips are short, you can charge at home, and the dealer supplies clear documents and dependable local service. Consider the 60 V only when its battery, charger, warranty or usable-range advantage is documented—not merely because the voltage is higher.
Choose a higher-speed alternative when your route requires faster traffic, longer distances or frequent passenger use, and confirm the exact model’s legal and support requirements. The S1 Z is listed with higher speed and a larger battery than the Grove, while the Reo is another 25 km/h comparison; the other under-₹1-lakh listings require the same careful verification of variant and city pricing.
No source establishes a universal best electric scooter under ₹1 lakh. The sensible purchase is the one whose real on-road price, usable range, charging arrangement, paperwork, warranty and service access fit your daily route—and whose claims you can verify in writing before payment.
