Compare the 2022 EV6 trims, batteries, and range
Kia’s U.S. lineup for 2022 included Light RWD, Wind RWD, Wind AWD, GT-Line RWD, and GT-Line AWD. The Light used a 58 kWh battery; the other configurations used a 77.4 kWh battery. These differences affect the model’s published range and are useful starting points when comparing listings.
| Configuration | Battery | Published EPA range |
|---|---|---|
| Light RWD | 58 kWh | 232 miles, per Kia’s 2022 specifications and Kelley Blue Book’s configuration figures |
| Wind or GT-Line RWD | 77.4 kWh | 310 miles, per Kia’s 2022 specifications and range announcement; Kelley Blue Book also lists 310 miles |
| Wind or GT-Line AWD | 77.4 kWh | 274 miles, per Kelley Blue Book’s 2022 configuration figures |
Kia described 310 miles as the EPA-certified maximum for the 2022 EV6 with a 77.4 kWh battery and rear-wheel drive. These are new-vehicle EPA estimates, not a promise of the range a used car will deliver today. Battery condition, weather, speed, terrain, and climate-control use can affect real-world range; the published figures do not predict the condition of any individual listing. How to compare local listings
Search results are only a starting point: listing availability depends on location and changes over time. Compare cars that are similar in configuration and condition, then look closely at the details that can explain differences in price.

- Trim, battery, and drivetrain: Confirm whether the car is a Light, Wind, or GT-Line and whether it is RWD or AWD. Don’t assume two cars with the same model year have the same range or equipment.
- Mileage and condition: Review the odometer, service history, visible condition, and any available battery-health information. Ask for documentation where possible; no listing’s battery condition can be inferred from its model-year range estimate.
- Equipment: Check the specific features and charging accessories included with the car rather than relying on a trim name alone.
- Asking price: Compare nearby cars with similar trim, drivetrain, mileage, condition, and equipment. Kelley Blue Book says its Fair Purchase Price varies by mileage, condition, location, and other factors, and that used-vehicle prices are updated weekly. Treat it as one comparison input, not a fixed price for every market. Kelley Blue Book; Cars.com’s 2022 EV6 listings.
Check recall status by VIN before purchase
NHTSA-hosted Kia recall material describes an issue affecting certain 2022–2024 EV6 vehicles involving the integrated charging control unit (ICCU), which may eventually result in loss of motive power. That does not mean every 2022 EV6 is affected. Ask the seller for the VIN, check current recall records for that vehicle, and verify that any applicable repair has been completed before you buy. Kia’s 2022 specifications list AC charging times using an 11 kW EVSE at 240V: 5 hours 50 minutes for the 58 kWh configuration and 7 hours 10 minutes for the 77.4 kWh configurations. These are manufacturer specifications for that stated charging setup, not a guarantee for every home installation. Actual charging time depends on the vehicle’s equipment and the electrical supply.
