The bike behind the “Sleek $899 urban ebike” headline is the Fiido C11 Pro, a step-through commuter e-bike. New Atlas reviewer Bronwyn Thompson praised its smooth ride over rough roads and bike-path bumps, but the $899 price was a US discount reported on March 2, 2025—not a current price. Fiido’s US product page displayed $1,209 when accessed October 8, 2026. Range, fit and current availability depend on the model and conditions, so check Fiido’s current page before buying.
What the C11 Pro review says about the ride
Thompson’s hands-on review describes a comfortable, smooth ride, crediting the front suspension fork and Velo saddle. She found the bike sturdy after assembly and said the fork helped over rough roads and bike-path bumps. Those are the reviewer’s riding impressions, not results from a standardized comfort test. The review also notes that aligning the fenders during assembly could be fiddly. That is a practical setup consideration if you expect a quick, trouble-free build.

What range can you expect?
Fiido’s US page lists a 499.2 Wh removable battery and claims up to 65 miles of range. That is a manufacturer’s maximum claim, not an independently verified distance for every rider or route. The page links its range figure to eco-mode testing.
New Atlas reported a 500 Wh battery and Fiido estimates of 56 miles (90 km) on the lowest pedal-assist setting and 31 miles (50 km) in throttle-only mode. The review says actual range depends on rider weight and terrain. These mode-specific review-era figures and Fiido’s current “up to 65 miles” claim are not directly comparable test results. Expect range to vary with assist mode and riding conditions, and use the current product page for the specification sold in your region.

Fiido’s US page lists these core features for the C11 Pro:
- 499.2 Wh removable battery
- 55 Nm motor torque and a torque sensor
- Hydraulic disc brakes and front suspension
- Seven-speed gearing and a rear rack
- Up to 65 miles of claimed range
The New Atlas review also describes a backlit LCD, USB charging port, Bluetooth connection to Fiido apps, cadence sensor, key-operated lock, app-based security and location tracking, front and rear lights, and 700C x 25 mm (27.5 x 2.60 inch) tires. These are review-era details; check the current model and variant before relying on them as included equipment.

The review reports a net weight of about 54 lb (24.5 kg), or about 46 lb (21.12 kg) without the battery, and about six hours to charge with the included 2A charger. Treat these as figures from that review’s model, not guaranteed current specifications.
Fit, carrying capacity and accessories
Fit information differs between sources. New Atlas describes a single frame size for riders 5.16–6 ft (1.57–1.82 m) tall; Fiido’s US page lists 5 ft 1 in–6 ft 5 in. Because those ranges do not match, consult the current official sizing details or try the bike before buying rather than assuming one range applies to every version.

The review mentions a rear rack and optional front basket. Fiido’s basket page lists C11 Pro compatibility and claims an 18 kg carrying capacity. Fiido’s pannier page also lists C11 Pro compatibility, while explicitly warning that the pannier is non-universal. Is the Fiido C11 Pro worth considering?
The review presents a city-oriented e-bike with comfort-focused suspension and useful commuter equipment, and Thompson’s ride impressions are favorable. The decision is less straightforward if fit is uncertain, you need a particular real-world range, or the price is the main attraction: the headline’s $899 was a dated US discount, while the official US page later showed $1,209. Compare current price, fit, weight, range assumptions and included accessories for the exact market and configuration you would buy.
