Is the Ferrari F80 a successor to the LaFerrari?
In Ferrari’s own framing, yes: the company presents the F80 as the latest car in its limited-series supercar family, alongside the GTO, F40 and LaFerrari. Ferrari’s launch announcement described the 799-car run as joining that “pantheon of icons” and showcasing the marque’s technology and performance. That establishes a place in the same broad lineage, not a direct mechanical succession or a claim that the F80 replaces LaFerrari in every sense. Ferrari’s 17 October 2024 announcement introduced the car.
How much horsepower does the F80 have?
Ferrari quotes a maximum combined output of 1,200 hp. That is the hybrid system’s total, not the V6’s standalone power.

These figures come from Ferrari’s technical feature, which describes the V6 and electric components of the powertrain. Ferrari’s F80 technical-feature article attributes the engine architecture in part to the 499P endurance program and describes the turbocharging technology as F1-inspired. Those are Ferrari’s descriptions of the car’s engineering connections.

What makes the F80’s aerodynamics notable?
Ferrari reports 1,050 kg of downforce at 250 km/h. The company says the active rear wing, underbody and front S-Duct work together to generate aerodynamic load. The figure is a manufacturer-published specification at the stated speed, not an independent test result. Ferrari’s technical feature details those aerodynamic elements.
How many F80s will Ferrari build, and when?
Ferrari announced a limited run of 799 examples. In coverage published in 2025, it said production was scheduled to continue until 2027. That is the manufacturer’s announced schedule, not a guarantee that the timetable cannot change. Ferrari’s 2025 coverage gives the production-plan timing.

What can—and can’t—be concluded from the LaFerrari connection?
The strongest supported comparison is about lineage: Ferrari names the F80 and LaFerrari among the marque’s limited-series supercar icons. The available official information here does not establish a full specification comparison, so it would be misleading to infer from the shared lineage that their powertrains, output figures or production numbers match in any particular way. The F80’s defining figures in Ferrari’s announcement are its 1,200 hp combined output and planned 799-car run.
