Ferrari’s 2025 849 Testarossa pairs a twin-turbo V8 with plug-in hybrid hardware. Ferrari rates the system at 1,050 cv—about 1,036 mechanical horsepower—while the V8 itself is rated at 830 cv. The revived name signals a connection to Ferrari heritage; the specifications identify a new hybrid model, not an unchanged return of the 1980s car.
How much horsepower does the Ferrari 849 Testarossa have?
Ferrari’s 2025 technical information gives the 849 Testarossa a maximum hybrid-system output of 1,050 cv, equivalent to roughly 1,036 mechanical horsepower. The distinction matters: cv is metric horsepower, and the 1,050 cv figure is the combined system rating—not the output of the V8 alone.

The 3,990 cc twin-turbo V8 is rated at 830 cv at 7,500 rpm. Ferrari lists maximum torque of 842 Nm at 6,500 rpm. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent test results. Ferrari 849 Testarossa technical information (2025).
Is the 849 Testarossa a plug-in hybrid?
Yes. Its twin-turbo V8 works with a plug-in hybrid system and a 7.45 kWh battery. Ferrari’s technical sheet lists an eDrive mode and up to 25 km of electric-only range. That is a short electric range by full-electric-car standards, so the car’s headline performance comes from the combined powertrain rather than long-distance EV operation.

How fast is the new Testarossa?
Ferrari’s published performance figures are 0–100 km/h in under 2.3 seconds, 0–200 km/h in 6.35 seconds, and a maximum speed above 330 km/h. The manufacturer also lists a Fiorano lap time of 1 minute 17.5 seconds. These are Ferrari’s stated figures; the cited specification sheet does not provide independent verification or testing conditions.

The figures in the table are manufacturer specifications. Because fuel consumption and emissions were still marked “Under homologation” in Ferrari’s September 2025 technical information, no finalized figure can be stated from that document.

Can you order the 849 Testarossa, and what does it cost?
The cited Ferrari materials do not establish current region-specific pricing, customer order status, or delivery timing. Ferrari said in its Q3 2025 results presentation that the order book extended well into 2027 at that time; this is a dated snapshot from November 4, 2025, not confirmation of availability today.
