The Ferrari Xezri Competizione Edition is a digital design study by Samir Sadikhov, not a production Ferrari or a documented race car. It reimagines his earlier Xezri concept with more overtly competition-inspired bodywork. The original concept was created for the 2011 Ferrari World Design Contest, where it placed second.
Where the original Xezri came from
Samir Sadikhov designed the Xezri while studying transportation design at IED Turin. IED identifies it as his thesis project for the 2010/11 course and says it earned second prize in the 2011 Ferrari World Design Contest (IED Turin).
Sadikhov described the concept as an effort to bring Ferrari’s technological knowledge and sporting experience together in an innovative hypercar design. Those words explain his intent; they do not establish Ferrari’s involvement or validate the concept’s engineering. He also wrote that “Xezri is a local wind which is in the western part of Caspian sea.” (Samir Sadikhov’s Ferrari Xezri project page.)
What the Competizione study changes
Coverage in 2013 described the Competizione as a later, sportier reinterpretation of the original concept, reportedly begun earlier that year. Its visible additions include a prominent front splitter, fender vents, protruding side skirts, a roof scoop, a larger rear wing and diffuser, and different wheels (24 Hours of Le Mans; Sgcarmart).

These are styling observations, not measured upgrades. The reports do not establish the parts’ materials or dimensions, or provide evidence of downforce, cooling performance, lap times, homologation, or a physical build. Sadikhov’s original project page discusses flexible aerodynamic elements and “aerolastic” winglets as concept ideas; it does not show that they were tested on a real Ferrari (project description).

Is it an official Ferrari or a real race car?
The available accounts identify the Xezri as Sadikhov’s design concept and the Competizione as a digital reinterpretation—not as a Ferrari-built production model, an officially commissioned design, or a documented race car. Ferrari’s annual report describes the Ferrari Design Centre’s remit for the company’s production range and some concepts and track-only models, but that general remit is not evidence that Sadikhov’s separate Xezri was an official Ferrari project (Ferrari N.V. Annual Report 2024).

What is known about its performance and availability?
No horsepower, top speed, weight, downforce, lap time, production volume, or price is established for the Competizione. The sources support discussing its design and provenance, not treating it as a tested car or an available vehicle. They also do not establish a dedicated Xezri Competizione model, print, or book.
