There is an important qualification: Ferrari says the figures in its technical document are for the 812 Competizione family and that specifications for the Competizione A would be communicated later. The comparison is therefore clearest on Lamborghini’s side; Ferrari’s numbers should not be presented as confirmed A-specific figures.
Published performance figures
Ferrari’s technical specification PDF lists a 6,496 cc V12 for the 812 Competizione family, producing 830 cv (610 kW) at 9,250 rpm and 692 Nm at 7,000 rpm. It gives 0–100 km/h in 2.85 seconds and a maximum speed above 340 km/h. However, Ferrari explicitly states: “Technical specifications regarding the 812 Competizione A will be communicated in due course.” Those figures are family-sheet data, not confirmed Competizione A specifications. Lamborghini’s official SVJ Roadster page lists a 6,498 cm³ V12 rated at 770 CV (566 kW) at 8,500 rpm, 0–100 km/h in 2.9 seconds, and a top speed above 350 km/h. These figures are explicitly for the Roadster. Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster
| Published figure | Ferrari 812 Competizione family | Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster |
|---|---|---|
| Engine | 6,496 cc V12 (Ferrari family sheet; Competizione A figures not confirmed) Ferrari | 6,498 cm³ V12 Lamborghini |
| Power | 830 cv (610 kW) at 9,250 rpm (family figure; Competizione A caveat applies) Ferrari | 770 CV (566 kW) at 8,500 rpm Lamborghini |
| Torque | 692 Nm at 7,000 rpm (family figure; Competizione A caveat applies) Ferrari | not stated on the cited model page Lamborghini |
| 0–100 km/h | 2.85 seconds (family figure; Competizione A caveat applies) Ferrari | 2.9 seconds Lamborghini |
| Maximum speed | Above 340 km/h (family figure; Competizione A caveat applies) Ferrari | Above 350 km/h Lamborghini |
Read narrowly, Ferrari’s family-sheet power and acceleration numbers are higher, while Lamborghini publishes the higher top-speed threshold. The small difference between the quoted acceleration times should not be treated as a direct test result: these are manufacturer-published claims, and the Ferrari figure is not confirmed specifically for the A.

Lamborghini: active aero and four-wheel steering
Lamborghini highlights ALA 2.0 active aerodynamics and four-wheel steering on the SVJ Roadster. It also says the Pirelli P Zero Corsa tire design was developed for the vehicle’s active driver-assistance systems. That is a vehicle-specific engineering connection, but it does not establish tire sizes or fitment for every car; owners should verify the exact specification for their vehicle before buying replacements. Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster
Ferrari: an open-top Competizione A, with a specification caveat
The Competizione A is Ferrari’s open-air variant in this comparison, but the cited Ferrari document does not establish the A’s full technical specification. It discusses the 812 Competizione and includes A-related information while expressly reserving the A’s technical figures for later communication. As a result, its published family performance numbers are useful context, not a complete A-versus-Roadster specification match.

Production numbers and historical price context
Lamborghini states that it made 800 Aventador SVJ Roadsters, describing the car as “the most iconic form of the Aventador family.” Lamborghini Aventador SVJ Roadster Quattroruote reported 599 Ferrari 812 Competizione A examples and a €578,000 starting price in May 2021. The Ferrari count and price are dated launch-era reporting, not a current asking price or transaction value. Quattroruote, May 2021
On those reported production counts, the Ferrari is the scarcer of the two. That count alone does not establish which car is more desirable, how either will hold value, or what a particular example should cost today.

What the comparison can—and cannot—tell a buyer
The published information supports a useful comparison of claimed performance, Lamborghini’s named chassis and aerodynamic technologies, and reported production totals. It does not establish current comparable listings, completed-sale prices, or maintenance costs for either model. The €578,000 Ferrari figure is historical launch context only, and no current market valuation follows from the production counts.

- For the cleanest apples-to-apples performance reference, Lamborghini’s figures are explicitly Roadster-specific; Ferrari’s cited numbers carry the Competizione A caveat.
- For a confirmed engineering talking point, the SVJ Roadster’s ALA 2.0 and four-wheel steering are identified by Lamborghini.
- For scarcity, the reported counts are 599 Competizione A examples and 800 SVJ Roadsters, with the Ferrari number sourced to 2021 reporting.
