For the U.S. 2025 AMG lineup, Mercedes-Benz named the two-door Mercedes-AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE its quickest-accelerating series-production AMG: the company estimates 0–60 mph in 2.7 seconds. That is an acceleration claim, not a claim that it has the lineup’s highest top speed; Mercedes lists its electronically limited maximum at 199 mph. These are manufacturer figures, not independent test results.
What “fastest” means here
Fastest can refer to either acceleration or maximum speed. Mercedes-Benz USA’s 2025 materials call the two-door AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE the quickest-accelerating AMG series-production model, based on its estimated 0–60 mph time. The separately listed top-speed figure is 199 mph, electronically limited. How the two-door compares with the four-door
The four-door AMG GT 63 S E PERFORMANCE is a separate model, with different published figures. Mercedes-Benz USA’s guides list the following specifications:

The two-door figures are from Mercedes-Benz USA’s March 28, 2025 quick reference guide; the four-door figures are from its February 3, 2025 guide. Both acceleration times are manufacturer estimates, and neither top-speed figure should be read as an independent test result.
The comparison also shows why horsepower alone does not determine which car accelerates quickest: the four-door has higher listed system output, but the two-door has the quicker estimated 0–60 time.

What powers the two-door coupe
Mercedes-Benz lists 805 hp of combined system output for the two-door. Its powertrain pairs a front-mounted handcrafted 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine with a rear electric motor in a P3 hybrid layout, and it uses AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive. The specifications are from the manufacturer’s 2025 model guide.
