What “fastest” means in Forza Horizon 5
This ranking is about maximum straight-line speed with a top-speed tune on a long straight. It is not a universal ranking for stock speed, acceleration, drag races, speed zones, or general racing. MotorTrend treats top-speed, drag, and drifting cars as separate categories and notes that the game’s roster and vehicle balance can change (MotorTrend, 12 January 2023).
The figures below come from Horizon Hub’s guide, updated 14 May 2026. It describes its numbers as community/press results from long straights with top-speed tuning, but does not provide a controlled test protocol or individual tune codes. No official Forza fastest-car leaderboard is established by the cited sources, so the close ordering—especially the two leaders—should be treated as an estimate rather than a definitive record (Horizon Hub).

Which car should you choose?
Choose the Venom F5 for the highest reported top speed
At roughly 307 mph, the Venom F5 sits first in the guide’s estimate, but its lead over the Jesko is only about 2 mph. It is a Hot Wheels Expansion car, not a base-game roster choice. Forza lists the 2021 model as Autoshow DLC associated with that expansion (Forza car roster).
Choose the Jesko if you do not have the expansion
Horizon Hub calls the 2020 Jesko the fastest non-DLC car in its ranking. Its approximately 305 mph estimate is close enough to the Venom F5’s that the guide does not establish a meaningful guaranteed advantage for one car in every run. Forza lists the Jesko as available via Autoshow or Wheelspin (Forza car roster).

Consider the Mosler as a value-oriented alternative
The Mosler MT900S is listed at about 296 mph in the same tuned top-speed comparison. Horizon Hub describes it as a value pick, while Forza lists the 2010 car through Autoshow or Wheelspin. The sources do not establish a numeric price comparison, so “value” should be understood as the guide’s recommendation, not a verified cheapest-car claim.

- Long straight: Use the guide’s top-speed ranking as a starting point, then judge your own tuned run. Small differences in the reported figures are not proof of a guaranteed in-game result.
- Speed trap or speed zone: Do not assume the fastest long-straight car will produce the best result. These activities test a route and entry speed, not just a car’s maximum speed; the cited comparison does not rank cars for them.
- Drag racing or general racing: Top-speed figures alone cannot tell you which car will win. MotorTrend separates drag performance from top-speed picks, and the available comparison supplies no controlled acceleration or handling data for these builds.
For official gameplay context, Forza introduced the Horizon Oval Circuit as a permanent race route in its High Performance update, alongside returning PR Stunts where players could set speed records. That update describes activities and content; it does not certify a fastest-car ranking (Forza, “Break Speed Records with High Performance in Forza Horizon 5,” 21 April 2023).
