How the September 2021 promotion worked
The promotion was announced during the period around the Italian Grand Prix at Monza. According to GameByte’s September 10, 2021 report, which reproduced the Formula 1 Game announcement, the free-play window ran September 10–12, 2021.

The report said the trial included access to the game’s content. It does not specify whether the offer was available in every country, the exact hours it began and ended, or whether an account or subscription was required. The promotion is historical, not a current offer.
What game players could try
F1 2021 was the official video game of the 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship. EA announced its release for July 16, 2021, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. EA’s announcement and Formula 1’s release article describe the game and its launch platforms.

Braking Point and Career
Braking Point is the game’s story mode. Career mode includes a two-player option that can be played cooperatively or competitively, so players can build a season together or face one another.
Race setup and circuits
Real-Season Start lets players begin a season from the championship’s then-current standings, while scalable driver assists allow adjustments to driving aids. EA also said Portimão, Imola, and Jeddah would be added as free post-launch circuits; Formula 1 described them as available to all as post-launch content.

Is F1 2021 free now?
The cited free-play event ended on September 12, 2021. These sources do not establish the game’s current price, availability, or whether another trial is running. The official PlayStation listing for F1 2021 covers its PS4 and PS5 editions, but it should not be treated as confirmation of current stock or pricing.
