Evotrex lists a 43 kWh battery, solar panels and a gas generator among its power systems, but the trailer is heavy: the base model is listed at 8,350 lb dry and 9,500 lb GVWR. Here’s what the company says about its specifications, towing, price and estimated production.
Is the Evotrex PG5 self-propelled?
No. The PG5 is a trailer that must be towed by a separate vehicle. Evotrex describes its TowSync system as an onboard electric motor that assists towing; that does not make the trailer a motorhome or mean it can drive itself. The company distinguishes motorhomes and camper vans, which are self-propelled, from the PG5, which is towed.
Electric tow assistance may be a notable part of the design, but it does not remove the need to match the loaded trailer to a suitable tow vehicle. Evotrex does not recommend a particular vehicle. It advises buyers to check the vehicle manual and consult the automaker or dealer about maximum towing capacity.
How much does the Evotrex PG5 weigh?
Evotrex’s FAQ lists different weights for the two configurations. Dry weight is the trailer’s stated weight before cargo and other additions; GVWR is the maximum loaded vehicle weight listed by the manufacturer. Neither figure alone establishes that a particular vehicle can safely tow a PG5.

These are figures published by Evotrex in its FAQ, accessed October 8, 2026. The company does not specify in the reviewed material which individual equipment differences account for the Premium model’s higher price and weight.
What to check before towing
Compare the trailer’s final loaded weight and hitch requirements with the specific tow vehicle’s limits. Check more than the advertised maximum tow rating: vehicle payload, hitch rating, tongue-weight limit and the vehicle maker’s towing instructions also matter. Occupants, cargo and accessories can affect the vehicle’s available payload. Confirm the final PG5 ratings and loading guidance with Evotrex before purchase.

How does the PG5 generate and store power?
Evotrex describes the PG5 as a power-generating RV trailer, with a hybrid energy system rather than the tent-ended layout sometimes called a hybrid travel trailer. The company lists a 43 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, up to 1.5 kW of integrated solar, regenerative charging while towing and a 75 kW gas generator.
Evotrex also advertises up to 225 kWh of energy from the generator on a full tank and more than 270 kWh of total usable energy. Those are manufacturer-stated energy figures, not independent measurements of a production trailer. The kW ratings describe power output or charging capacity; the kWh figures describe energy. They are not interchangeable measures.

Power outlets and charging features
Evotrex lists up to 12 kW of V2L/V2H output, AC charging up to 6.6 kW and V2V DC fast charging up to 60 kW through NACS. These stated capabilities describe different functions: supplying power to external loads or a home, charging the trailer from AC, and transferring DC power between vehicles. Buyers should confirm which equipment and adapters are included in their chosen configuration and what the final production specifications support.
How long can the Evotrex PG5 stay off-grid?
Evotrex claims the PG5 can stay off-grid for 7 or more days. That is a company claim, not a guaranteed duration: actual time depends on power use, weather and solar availability, generator use, water consumption and other conditions. The manufacturer’s material does not establish a single usage profile behind the claim, so it should not be treated as a fixed trip-length promise.

How long these supplies last will vary with the number of occupants and how the trailer is used.

Evotrex lists exterior dimensions of 28 ft 8 in long, 8 ft wide and 9 ft 5 in high. The stated design includes dual axles, air suspension, all-terrain tires and a zero-wood construction approach. It is listed to sleep four adults and has a 43 sq. ft. rear patio.

Other features described by Evotrex include a motorized deck, climate control using generator waste heat and a 2-inch rear accessory receiver. The company does not state a receiver load rating or establish compatibility with a particular cargo carrier; verify receiver, trailer and accessory limits before fitting or loading equipment.
How much does the Evotrex PG5 cost, and when is it expected?
Evotrex’s current FAQ lists the base PG5 at $119,990 and the PG5 Premium at $159,990. Its preorder page lists a fully refundable $100 deposit before a buyer finalizes a build and signs a purchase agreement. Review the current terms directly with Evotrex before placing an order.
The preorder page displays estimated production in the second half of 2027. This is an estimate, not a confirmed delivery date. Evotrex identifies the United States, Australia and Canada as initial preorder markets and says U.S. deliveries are prioritized; it says timelines for Australia and Canada will be shared later.
What should buyers verify before reserving one?
Evotrex labels the displayed vehicle pre-production and says final features, specifications and aesthetics may vary. The published weights, energy figures, equipment and timing should therefore be treated as manufacturer statements rather than independently verified production results. The material reviewed does not establish independent testing of a production PG5 or a head-to-head comparison with other trailers.
