The lineup then rises to the Model Y Rear-Wheel Drive, the six-seat Model Y L Premium and the Cybertruck. These are Tesla’s U.S. figures checked October 8, 2026—not a like-for-like set of out-the-door prices: fees are presented differently, and taxes and other costs may apply.

The ranking below uses Tesla’s U.S. displayed starting figures checked October 8, 2026. Because the figures do not all use the same fee basis, the fee details are included with each entry. They are not directly comparable as final checkout totals.

Tesla lists two Cybertruck configurations above the Dual Motor AWD starting figure. These are displayed prices, not guaranteed final checkout totals.

Why the ranking needs a fee-basis caveat
Tesla does not show every starting figure on the same basis. The Model 3 figure is a Massachusetts-specific amount that includes destination and order fees, while the Model Y page distinguishes its $39,990 vehicle price from a $41,630 estimate that includes those fees. The Model Y L figures are likewise given both before and after destination and order fees. The Cybertruck page lists configuration starting prices; check the live order flow for a fee-inclusive quote.
Delivery location, selected configuration, taxes, other fees, inventory and available offers can affect what a buyer pays. Tesla’s Current Offers page presents the Model Y’s $41,630 example separately from incentives, estimated gas savings, taxes and other fees. Do not subtract projected savings or assume an incentive is part of the vehicle’s list price.

Which price is useful for your comparison?
For an initial shortlist, the displayed starting figures show where each listed model or configuration begins. For a purchase decision, compare quotes for the same delivery location and fee basis. Then weigh the vehicle differences that matter to your use:
- Body style and seating: the Model 3 is a sedan; the Model Y L Premium is a six-seat, long-wheelbase configuration.
- Range and drivetrain: compare the specific configuration’s EPA-estimated range and drivetrain rather than assuming all versions of a model are alike. Tesla lists 321 miles of EPA-estimated range for the displayed rear-wheel-drive Model 3 Standard.
- Practical needs: consider passenger and cargo space or towing needs alongside price; a lower starting figure alone does not establish which vehicle is the better fit.
- Ownership setup: charging equipment is a separate purchase, not part of the vehicle starting price. Tesla’s Model Y configurator lists a Wall Connector at $585; confirm current pricing and compatibility before buying. Tesla Model Y configurator
What about Model S and Model X?
Model S and Model X should not be ranked as current new-car offerings: Tesla says both are no longer in production. Pre-owned examples may be available, but their prices depend on model year, condition and local listings; Tesla’s pages do not provide current new-car starting prices for them. How to verify a Tesla price before ordering
- Open the Tesla page for the model you want and select the configuration you intend to buy.
- Use the order flow for your delivery location to check the vehicle price, destination fee, order fee and any other displayed charges.
- Review taxes and incentives separately; confirm eligibility and terms rather than treating estimated savings as a reduction in list price.
- Recheck the quote close to purchase. Tesla’s pages are dynamic, and displayed prices and offers can change.
