Across Volvo’s current U.S., UK and Australian listings, the six electric model names are EX30, EX40, EX60, EX90, EC40 and ES90. Availability differs by country, so the list does not mean every model is sold in every market.
Volvo’s current electric model names
Volvo’s UK comparison page lists all six names. Its U.S. page highlights four—EX30, EX40, EX60 and EX90—while Volvo Australia lists EX90, EX60, EX40, EX30 and ES90. These are market-specific lineups, not a guarantee of local availability. Check Volvo’s U.S., UK or Australian site for the models offered where you live.

Body-style descriptions follow Volvo’s UK comparison page; availability and model-year details can vary by market. Volvo’s U.S. page presents its own 2026 prices and range claims, which should not be applied to other countries.
Why some Volvo electric names changed
Volvo announced the naming changes on 20 February 2024 to standardize the names of its fully electric cars. The company said: “The fully electric XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge models are renamed to EX40 and EC40 respectively”. The change applies to the electric models: the XC40 name remains for internal-combustion variants.

What about the Volvo EM90?
Volvo’s annual-report portfolio graphic identified as of March 2025 included the electric EM90 alongside EX30, EC40, EX40, ES90 and EX90. However, the current U.S., UK and Australian listings reviewed here do not include the EM90. That older graphic is not evidence that the EM90 is currently available new in a particular country; check the local Volvo site for current sales information.
