That means there is no defensible complete power ranking from the available U.S. data—and engine displacement is not a substitute for horsepower. Here’s what Honda does establish, and where overseas output figures fit.
Which Honda mini motos are in the U.S. lineup?
Honda’s U.S. miniMOTO category lists five models: Grom, Dax 125, Monkey, Trail125, and Navi. Honda identifies the first four as 124cc models and the Navi as 109cc. These figures describe engine displacement, not power output.
Honda’s public U.S. lineup and model pages reviewed here do not give a consistent horsepower rating for all five, so they cannot support a complete ranking from most to least powerful. The available specifications are useful for comparing configuration and intended utility instead.
What the U.S. specifications establish
| Model | U.S. lineup displacement | Verified U.S. specification | Power ranking |
|---|---|---|---|
| Grom | 124cc | 2026: air-cooled, single-cylinder four-stroke engine; five-speed manual transmission; 30.0-inch seat height; 224-pound curb weight. | Not established: no comparable U.S. horsepower figure is provided in the cited specification. |
| Dax 125 | 124cc | Honda’s U.S. lineup identifies the displacement; a comparable U.S. output figure is not stated in the cited material. | Not established. |
| Monkey | 124cc | Honda’s U.S. lineup identifies the displacement; a comparable U.S. output figure is not stated in the cited material. | Not established. |
| Trail125 | 124cc | 2026: air-cooled, single-cylinder engine and four-speed semi-automatic transmission. Honda also lists optional center and front racks. | Not established: no comparable U.S. horsepower figure is provided in the cited specification. |
| Navi | 109cc | Honda’s U.S. lineup identifies the displacement; a comparable U.S. output figure is not stated in the cited material. | Not established. |

Why displacement cannot rank these bikes by power
Displacement measures the engine’s swept volume; horsepower measures the rate at which it can do work. A larger displacement does not, by itself, prove that one engine produces more power than another. A valid ranking requires comparable output ratings or measurements for each bike, stated on a consistent basis. Honda’s U.S. specifications cited here do not provide that set of figures.
What the overseas horsepower figures can—and cannot—tell you
Honda does publish output figures on two market-specific pages: the Japan-market Monkey page lists 6.9 kW (9.4 PS) at 6,750 rpm, while the Italy-market Dax page lists 6.9 kW (9.4 CV) at 7,000 rpm. The same pages give peak torque as 11 N·m at 5,500 rpm for the Monkey and 10.8 N·m at 5,000 rpm for the Dax.

Those figures apply to the models and markets on those pages; they are not a complete set of U.S. ratings. The stated output peaks also occur at different engine speeds. They therefore do not establish a power order across Honda’s five-model U.S. miniMOTO lineup.

Start with how you will ride
The lineup includes different configurations and uses, so choose around your riding needs rather than treating displacement as a horsepower proxy. The Grom’s 2026 specification pairs its 124cc engine with a five-speed manual. The 2026 Trail125 pairs a 124cc engine with a four-speed semi-automatic transmission and has optional center and front racks for carrying gear.

Check the details for the exact model year and market
Specifications and equipment can vary by year and country. For the Grom, Honda lists a 30.0-inch seat height and 224-pound curb weight on its 2026 U.S. page; those are useful fit and handling considerations, but neither is a power rating. Confirm the relevant year’s official page for any model you are considering.
Use comparable output data if horsepower is the deciding factor
For a true ranking, compare official ratings for all five models in the same market and model year, using the same power unit and rating convention. If those figures are unavailable, treat the bikes as unranked by power rather than inferring an order from engine size or combining ratings from different country pages.
