The quickest published C8 Corvette quarter-mile result is the 2026 Corvette ZR1X’s 8.675-second validation run, recorded at 159 mph on a prepped track. Chevrolet’s other published figures range from 9.6 seconds for a ZTK-equipped ZR1 to 11.2 seconds for some Stingray configurations. These are manufacturer claims from different years and conditions, not results from a standardized head-to-head test.
Every C8 Corvette quarter-mile time, ranked
The ranking below uses the quickest published Chevrolet or GM elapsed time located for each named model or configuration. It sorts by elapsed time, not trap speed. Conditions vary by model: some figures are tied to a package or model year, and Chevrolet does not state a surface condition for every current-lineup figure. Treat this as a comparison of published claims, not a controlled test.
| Rank | Model and configuration | Quarter-mile | Model-year and test context |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 2026 Corvette ZR1X | 8.675 sec at 159 mph | GM validation run at US 131 Motorsports Park in October 2025, on a prepped surface, using pump gas and standard tires with production street-legal calibration. GM identifies the vehicle as preproduction; the release caption gives a 159.57-mph trap speed. |
| 2 | 2025 Corvette ZR1 with available ZTK Performance Package | 9.6 sec | Chevrolet’s December 2024 release reports this result on a non-prepped drag strip using 93-octane pump fuel. ZTK includes the high-downforce Carbon Fiber Aero Package and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires. |
| 3 | 2027 Corvette Grand Sport X | 10.4 sec at 131 mph | Chevrolet’s current lineup figure for the 2027 model; surface and test setup are not stated. |
| 4 | Corvette E-Ray | 10.5 sec | Chevrolet’s current lineup figure; the cited lineup material does not state a model year, trap speed, or surface condition. |
| 5 | Corvette Z06 | 10.6 sec at 130 or 131 mph | Chevrolet’s current lineup figure. Chevrolet page versions report either 130- or 131-mph trap speed; the cited material does not establish a single value across versions or specify the test surface. |
| 6 (tie) | 2027 Corvette Grand Sport | 10.95 sec at 124 mph | Chevrolet’s current lineup figure for the 2027 Grand Sport; surface condition is not stated. Chevrolet announced the returning generation in March 2026. |
| 6 (tie) | Corvette Stingray, configuration dependent | 10.95 sec at 124 mph, or 11.2 sec in other listed claims | Chevrolet’s current lineup material includes both figures in different model-year or configuration contexts. The available claims do not establish one universal Stingray time or attach every figure to a specific package. |
Chevrolet lists the standard-aero 2025 ZR1 at 9.7 seconds and 152 mph on a non-prepped drag strip, one tenth slower than the ZTK figure; the ZTK car traps two mph slower than the standard-aero car. The ZR1X also has a separate published claim: 8.99 seconds with available ZTK on an unprepped surface. That is not the same condition as its quicker, prepped-surface validation run above.
What the times do—and do not—show
Elapsed time determines the order
Quarter-mile elapsed time measures how long a car takes to cover the distance from a standing start. Trap speed is its speed at the finish. A high trap speed can indicate strong speed-building over the run, while elapsed time also reflects how effectively the car launches and accelerates throughout it. Since the requested ranking is by elapsed time, the ZR1X’s 8.675-second run leads even though not every model has a published trap speed for comparison.

Different track conditions prevent a clean head-to-head
A prepped drag strip offers more traction than an unprepped surface, and tire, aero, fuel, model year, and test setup can also affect a result. GM’s ZR1X validation specifies a prepped surface and standard tires; Chevrolet’s ZR1 package figures specify an unprepped strip and, for the ZTK car, Cup 2R tires and high-downforce aero. The remaining current-lineup figures do not give equivalent test details. The ranking is therefore useful for understanding Chevrolet’s published performance claims, but not for predicting precisely how the cars would compare in one matched test.
