It is designed for towing by some crossovers, small SUVs and mid-size trucks, but whether it suits your vehicle depends on the vehicle’s towing, payload and hitch limits—and on the trailer’s actual loaded weight.
Escape E13 specifications
Escape Trailer Industries’ current E13 specification lists the following dimensions and capacities. The American Composites Manufacturers Association independently repeats the trailer’s length, dry weight and GVWR.

Can your SUV tow an Escape E13?
Escape and ACMA describe the E13 as a lightweight trailer suited to crossovers, small SUVs and mid-size trucks. That description is not a vehicle-specific towing recommendation. A vehicle needs to meet every applicable limit, not just have a maximum tow rating higher than the trailer’s dry weight.

Options, propane, water and camping cargo add weight; passengers and cargo in the tow vehicle also use its payload. Check the vehicle’s rated towing capacity, payload, hitch rating and tongue-weight limit, as well as any applicable combined-weight limit. The E13’s 2,500-lb GVWR is its listed maximum total weight, while its 1,850-lb dry weight is before options and does not include your trip’s added load.

Because Escape lists the 250-lb hitch weight before options, do not assume that figure will be the loaded tongue weight. Confirm the completed trailer’s actual weight and tongue weight against your vehicle’s limits. If you cannot establish a safe match from the ratings and loaded figures, ask the vehicle or trailer manufacturer or a qualified towing professional before travelling.
How many people can sleep in it?
Escape lists sleeping capacity for three. The standard layout concept pairs a double bed with a compact dinette that converts to another bed. The specific fit and usable sleeping arrangement depend on the selected floor plan and configuration; check the E13 F1 or E13 F2 plan with Escape when choosing.

Escape also lists optional alternatives such as a bunk bed, two-person bed, U-shaped dinette and bench dinette. These change how the compact interior is arranged, so consider how the sleeping setup will work alongside dining and daytime seating rather than treating the maximum capacity as three permanent beds.
Is the Escape E13 a one-piece fiberglass trailer?
Yes. Escape describes the E13 as an insulated molded-fiberglass trailer built around a single seamless fiberglass shell. ACMA also describes it as having a single seamless shell. “One-piece” refers to the molded shell construction; the trailer still has other components and systems, including its chassis, axle, windows, doors and interior fittings.

What comes standard?
Escape’s included-equipment list covers the trailer’s running gear, utilities and living equipment. The listed equipment includes:
- Chassis and towing: 3,500-lb torsion rubber-ride suspension, electric brakes, EZ-Lube axles, front and rear stabilizer jacks, and two 14-inch radial tires.
- Propane and water: dual 20-lb OPD propane tanks, a propane quick connect, a 20-gallon fresh-water tank and a 12V demand-water system.
- Power: a 200-watt solar panel, one 12V lithium battery, a 55-amp converter/battery charger, a 25–30-amp power cord, 12V/USB and 120V outlets, LED lighting, and an electrical management system with surge protector.
- Kitchen and climate: a refrigerator, two-burner flush-mount stainless cooktop, stainless sink, 12,000-BTU furnace and one Maxx Fan.
- Shell and safety: an insulated fiberglass shell, smoke detector, carbon-monoxide/propane detector and fire extinguisher.
Confirm the exact equipment on the build sheet for the particular trailer you are ordering or buying, especially if comparing a current build with an inventory unit.

Escape lists both practical add-ons and choices that alter the interior. Availability can depend on the selected configuration; the manufacturer specifically associates comfort air conditioning and the two-way hot-water tank with exterior shower with E13 F2.

The listed bathroom solution is an optional porta potty; the standard equipment list does not include an enclosed bathroom. If a private bathroom or indoor shower is essential, verify the exact configuration directly rather than assuming those amenities are part of the E13.

Escape’s FAQ says the company completes import and export paperwork for customers buying across the Canada–U.S. border. Buyers should confirm the arrangements for their transaction and location with Escape, including any responsibilities that remain with the purchaser.
