Short answer: the Elecson Eco is marketed by its manufacturer as an electric bicycle, not a stand-up or moped-style scooter. It uses a 26-inch MTB-style frame, a motor and manual pedaling, so the fairest alternatives are other budget electric cycles. Elecson lists 25–30 km of range, but its own pages conflict over the battery and charger. Treat the price, range and charging time as variant-specific until a seller confirms the exact SKU in writing.
What the Elecson Eco is—and what this comparison covers
Elecson’s product page describes the Eco as an electric cycle/electric bicycle with a 26-inch MTB frame, motor assistance and manual pedaling. Its catalog also places the model among electric bicycles. That is materially different from a stand-up scooter or a moped-style scooter: you sit on a bicycle frame and can pedal.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
This guide therefore compares the Eco with budget electric cycles rather than claiming that it is a like-for-like scooter. Whether a particular electric cycle needs registration, a licence, insurance or other equipment depends on the vehicle’s specification and the rules where you ride. The available manufacturer material does not settle that question for every jurisdiction. Ask the seller for the written specification and check your local transport authority before using it on public roads.
The most important buying issue is not the headline range. It is whether the quoted price, battery, charger, controls, brakes, warranty and service support all refer to the same Eco variant. Elecson’s pages contain conflicting details, and a third-party listing shows a different configuration and price.

Elecson Eco specifications: the figures that agree and the figures that do not
Elecson’s current product and catalog pages list a claimed 25–30 km range and refer to a 10 Ah Eco configuration. The same product material also describes a 5.2 Ah battery paired with a 36 V, 2 A charger and says charging takes about 2.5 hours. Elsewhere on the page, a 24 V, 2 A charger is specified. Those statements cannot be treated as one universal specification.
ZigWheels lists the Eco at ₹13,499 and gives a 0.36 kWh battery figure. Elecson’s own page displays different offer/list prices and indicates that the product is out of stock. The disagreement means that none of those prices should be presented as a guaranteed transaction price for every buyer.
| Item | What the cited pages say | How to use the figure |
|---|---|---|
| Category | Electric cycle/electric bicycle; 26-inch MTB frame, motor and pedals | Compare with electric cycles, not automatically with stand-up scooters |
| Range | 25–30 km on Elecson pages | Manufacturer-listed claim; confirm the battery, rider conditions and riding mode |
| Battery | 10 Ah in one Eco configuration; ZigWheels lists 0.36 kWh | Request the exact voltage, Ah, Wh and battery part number |
| Charging | About 2.5 hours for a stated 5.2 Ah battery with a 36 V, 2 A charger | Not a universal Eco figure because the page also mentions a 24 V, 2 A charger and a 10 Ah configuration |
| Price | Elecson page shows different offer/list prices and out-of-stock information; ZigWheels lists ₹13,499 | Obtain a current, written seller quote that names the included battery and charger |
| Warranty and support | Elecson advertises a one-year warranty, 10-day replacement and 48-hour pan-India service | Confirm what is covered, exclusions, claim procedure and actual service availability |
How far does the Elecson Eco go on a charge?
The manufacturer’s stated answer is 25–30 km. That is a claimed range, not an independently measured result. The cited material does not provide a controlled test method, rider weight, average speed, temperature, terrain, tyre pressure, assistance level or payload for the figure.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteUse the claim as a planning band rather than a promise. A rider who needs a dependable 20 km round trip should leave reserve for hills, stop-start traffic, wind, low temperatures, extra load and battery ageing. A route that is close to the advertised maximum leaves little margin if the actual fitted battery is smaller than the seller’s listing suggests.
Why battery energy matters more than Ah alone
Amp-hours are only comparable when voltage is also known. Battery energy is expressed in watt-hours: voltage multiplied by amp-hours, divided by 1,000. Ask for both values before comparing the Eco with another cycle. The 0.36 kWh figure on the ZigWheels listing is more useful for an energy comparison than “10 Ah” by itself, but it still needs to be matched to the battery physically supplied.
Questions to ask before relying on the range
- Is the quoted 25–30 km for pedal assist, throttle use or a mixture?
- Which battery capacity and voltage are installed on the exact unit?
- Is the battery removable, and can it be charged off the bicycle?
- What rider-and-payload weight was assumed?
- Does the quote include the original charger, and what are its voltage and current ratings?
- What range should the seller expect after the battery has aged, rather than when new?
How long does the Elecson Eco take to charge?
Elecson states about 2.5 hours for a 5.2 Ah battery using a 36 V, 2 A charger. Because the same page also references a 10 Ah configuration and a 24 V, 2 A charger, that number cannot be applied to every Eco sold under the name.
Do not infer the charging time from the model name. Have the seller write down the battery voltage and capacity, charger output voltage and current, and the expected full-charge time for that exact serialised unit. A larger battery generally takes longer with the same current, and charging normally slows near full; the printed estimate should take precedence over a simple arithmetic estimate.

Safe charging checks
- Read the label on the supplied charger and confirm that its output matches the battery system specified on the invoice.
- Use the original charger unless the manufacturer approves an alternative with the same electrical ratings and connector polarity.
- Charge on a dry, stable surface with ventilation; do not cover the charger or battery while charging.
- Check the connector, cable and battery casing for heat, swelling, damage or a burnt smell. Stop charging if any appears.
- Ask how the battery should be stored when the cycle will not be used for several weeks and whether the warranty requires a particular charging practice.
Budget electric-cycle alternatives
The following models provide useful price and specification anchors, but they are not results from a common range test. Prices and claims are attributed to the maker pages and should be checked again at checkout.
| Model | Price cited | Battery and range claim | Charging information | Important qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Elecson Eco | ₹13,499 on ZigWheels; Elecson displays different offer/list prices and out-of-stock information | Elecson: 10 Ah and 25–30 km; ZigWheels: 0.36 kWh | Elecson: about 2.5 hours for 5.2 Ah with 36 V, 2 A charger; page also mentions 24 V, 2 A | Battery, charger, price and stock must be confirmed for the exact SKU |
| EMotorad X1 | ₹27,999 in the maker’s India guide dated October 3, 2026 | 7.65 Ah; up to 45 km | Not established for the X1 in the cited material | Company-published figures, not an independent test; verify the live configuration |
| EMotorad T-Rex Air | ₹37,499 in the maker’s India guide dated October 3, 2026 | 10.2 Ah; up to 50 km | 4–5 hours on the maker’s product page | Company claims; confirm current price and battery configuration |
| Hero Lectro cycles | Varies by model; no single price established by the cited homepage | Official FAQ: 30–60 km depending on battery capacity | 3–4 hours for 5.8 Ah, 4–5 hours for 6.4 Ah, and 6–7 hours for 11.6 Ah with the included original charger | Match the FAQ battery size to the precise model; homepage and FAQ do not establish one universal specification |
The alternatives show why a larger advertised range often comes with a higher purchase price and a longer charging window, but the table does not establish value by itself. The X1’s 45 km and T-Rex Air’s 50 km are maker claims under unspecified conditions in the cited guide. Hero Lectro’s 30–60 km is a range across models and battery capacities, not a single model result.
How to compare range fairly
Build the comparison around the exact SKU rather than the family name. Record the following in a worksheet or on the quotation:
- Battery voltage, amp-hours and watt-hours.
- Claimed range and whether it is for pedal assist, throttle, a particular mode or a stated test route.
- Motor rating, assist levels and whether the cycle can be pedalled without motor power.
- Charger output and quoted full-charge time.
- Battery location, removal method and replacement availability.
- Brake type, wheel size, frame dimensions, maximum permitted load and fit for the intended rider.
- Warranty duration for the frame, motor, controller, charger and battery separately.
- Service address, turnaround promise and the cost and availability of consumables or replacement parts.
Do not rank these cycles by kilometres alone. A cycle with a shorter claim but a removable battery, nearby service and a clear replacement policy may be easier to own than one with a longer claim and uncertain support.
What does it cost to run?
Electricity is usually the easiest running cost to estimate, but it is only one part of ownership. Use the battery’s stated watt-hours and your local electricity tariff:
- Convert the battery rating to kilowatt-hours: volts × amp-hours ÷ 1,000.
- Multiply that figure by your tariff per unit (kWh).
- Add a reasonable allowance for charging losses if you are estimating electricity drawn from the wall.
- Divide the result by the distance you actually ride, not the maker’s maximum range, to obtain an approximate energy cost per kilometre.
EMotorad estimates that a typical 36 V, 7.65 Ah battery uses about 0.3 electricity units and costs around ₹2–₹2.50 to charge under its assumed home tariffs. That is an EMotorad estimate for that battery and tariff assumption; it is not a measured Elecson Eco cost and should not be transferred to the Eco.
Costs that the published figures do not answer
No cited source establishes an Elecson replacement-battery price, expected lifetime range retention, repair schedule or independent lifetime ownership cost. Those omissions matter more than a small difference in electricity price. Ask for written prices for a replacement battery, charger, controller, tyres, brake pads and common electrical repairs. Also ask whether labour, collection and return shipping are included in warranty service.

For a realistic annual budget, combine:
- Purchase price and any delivery or assembly charge.
- Electricity based on your own tariff and riding distance.
- Routine wear items such as tyres, tubes, brake pads, cables and chains.
- Battery replacement provision, even if the seller does not publish a life estimate.
- Out-of-warranty diagnostics, transport and labour.
- Safety equipment and any legally required equipment for your location.
Warranty, replacement and service: compare the terms, not the slogans
Elecson advertises a one-year warranty, a 10-day replacement period and 48-hour pan-India service. Hero Lectro’s FAQ states a two-year warranty and 500 charging cycles. These are brand statements with different definitions and exclusions, so they are not equivalent measures of durability.
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
Before paying, obtain the written warranty and check:
- Whether the battery is covered for the full headline period or for a shorter period.
- Whether capacity loss, water ingress, misuse, accident damage and normal wear are excluded.
- How the 500 charging-cycle statement is defined and what capacity remains at the end, if applicable.
- Who pays for shipping, collection and labour during a claim.
- Whether the promised service time is a target or a guaranteed turnaround.
- Where the nearest authorised service point is and which parts are stocked locally.
A “48-hour service” promise does not necessarily mean that a failed battery will be repaired or replaced within 48 hours. Ask what event starts the clock and what remedy is offered if a part is unavailable.
Fit, equipment and everyday usability
Because the Eco uses a 26-inch MTB-style frame, check stand-over height, reach, saddle adjustment and handlebar position before ordering. A cycle that is inexpensive but poorly fitted can be tiring or unsafe, especially on a route with frequent stops.
Confirm the brake type and condition at delivery, the lighting equipment, reflectors, mudguards, luggage provision and kickstand. The maker lists a helmet among its cycle accessories, but no specific helmet is established as tested or bundled with the Eco. Treat a correctly fitted, compliant helmet as a separate safety purchase unless the invoice explicitly includes one.

- Define the trip. Write down the one-way distance, hills, traffic, desired speed, payload and whether you can recharge at the destination.
- Choose the vehicle category. If you need a pedal-equipped electric bicycle, the Eco belongs in the comparison. If you specifically need a stand-up or moped-style scooter, do not treat the Eco as a substitute.
- Request an SKU-specific quote. The quote should name the frame, battery voltage and Ah/Wh, charger, accessories, price, stock status and delivery condition.
- Reconcile the Eco contradictions. Ask why the listing references both 5.2 Ah and 10 Ah batteries and both 36 V and 24 V chargers, and request a photo of the labels or a specification sheet.
- Compare alternatives on the same worksheet. Record the exact battery energy, range claim, charging time, controls, brakes, fit, warranty and service location.
- Calculate operating cost. Use your tariff and the confirmed battery energy; do not copy the EMotorad estimate to another model.
- Read the warranty before checkout. Pay particular attention to battery coverage, capacity-loss thresholds, exclusions and claim logistics.
- Inspect on delivery. Check the frame, wheels, brakes, wiring, charger label, battery casing and included accessories before signing off. Photograph any damage and retain the serial numbers and invoice.
- Perform a short local test. Test starting, braking, assistance modes, steering, charging and battery removal in a safe area before committing to a long commute.
Common pitfalls and how to avoid them
Buying from the cheapest displayed price
The Eco has different displayed prices on Elecson’s pages, an out-of-stock indication, and a ₹13,499 ZigWheels listing. A low number may describe a different battery, a promotion, an old listing or unavailable stock. Get a dated, written quote.

Assuming every Eco charges in 2.5 hours
The 2.5-hour statement is tied to a stated 5.2 Ah battery and 36 V, 2 A charger. It does not resolve the page’s separate 10 Ah and 24 V references. Verify the supplied hardware.
Comparing Ah as if it were range
Ah without voltage is incomplete. Compare watt-hours, then account for motor efficiency, rider load, speed, terrain and assistance mode.

Which buyer should choose which option?
Choose the Elecson Eco only when the seller resolves the specification
The Eco may suit a buyer seeking a low entry price and a pedal-equipped electric cycle, provided the seller confirms the exact battery, charger, stock, written price and service terms. The 25–30 km claim is most relevant to short, local trips with a charging opportunity.
Consider the EMotorad X1 or T-Rex Air when a longer claimed range is the priority
The maker’s October 3, 2026 guide lists the X1 at ₹27,999 with up to 45 km and the T-Rex Air at ₹37,499 with up to 50 km. Those prices and ranges are higher than the Eco figures cited above, but they remain company claims and must be checked against the live configuration. The T-Rex Air page states 4–5 hours of charging; the cited material does not establish an X1 charging time.
Consider a Hero Lectro model when you need a documented battery-size charging range
Hero Lectro’s FAQ gives 30–60 km depending on battery capacity and lists charging recommendations for 5.8 Ah, 6.4 Ah and 11.6 Ah batteries. Because the homepage covers multiple models and prices, identify the exact model before using those numbers.
Bottom line
The Elecson Eco is an electric bicycle, not a directly comparable stand-up scooter. Its maker’s 25–30 km range may fit short urban trips, but the product pages conflict over battery capacity, charger voltage, charging time, price and stock. The safest decision is to buy only after receiving an SKU-specific written specification and warranty.
Use the EMotorad and Hero Lectro figures as comparison anchors, not as a controlled ranking: their prices, range claims and charging times come from different models and manufacturer sources. Calculate electricity from the confirmed battery and your tariff, then include battery replacement, wear parts, warranty terms and nearby service in the ownership-cost decision.
