Choose the 2026 Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE if you want a faired, supercharged sport tourer with touring convenience and rider-assistance equipment.
Neither is universally “better.” Ducati’s published figures and equipment describe a high-performance naked motorcycle; Kawasaki’s model brief is built around fast distance riding. The specifications below come from different model years and markets, so treat the numbers as manufacturer claims, not a controlled head-to-head test.

Start with the motorcycle’s job, not the horsepower number
These motorcycles overlap in performance but not in purpose. Ducati describes the Streetfighter V4 as its superbike formula adapted to a naked motorcycle: the fairings are removed, the handlebar is high and wide, and the Panigale-derived engine, chassis and electronics remain central to the design. Kawasaki explicitly classifies the Ninja H2 SX as a sport tourer and emphasizes long-distance comfort, luggage options and assistance systems.

Ducati Streetfighter V4: a naked superbike formula
The 2025 Streetfighter V4 is for a rider who wants an exposed, aggressive riding experience and superbike-derived hardware without full bodywork. Ducati says revised ergonomics improve control and comfort, particularly for taller riders, but the motorcycle’s stated identity remains performance-led rather than luggage-led. The base V4 and V4 S are not identical: suspension and some equipment depend on the trim.

Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE: a supercharged sport tourer
The 2026 Ninja H2 SX SE is faired and designed to cover distance at high speed while providing more convenience technology. Kawasaki’s equipment list includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, tire-pressure monitoring, keyless KIPASS operation and a 6.5-inch color TFT display with SPIN infotainment on the UK model page. Those features address touring workload in a way the Streetfighter’s published brief does not.
Published specifications, kept in their market and model-year context
The following figures are not from the same model year or necessarily the same market. Ducati’s numbers are from its U.S. MY25 Streetfighter V4 specification page; Kawasaki’s output and price are from Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A.’s 2026 Ninja H2 SX SE ABS specification sheet.
| Specification or feature | Ducati Streetfighter V4 MY25 | Kawasaki Ninja H2 SX SE 2026 |
|---|---|---|
| Basic type | Naked superbike-derived road/track motorcycle | Faired supercharged sport tourer |
| Engine | 1,103 cc V4 | 998 cc supercharged inline-four |
| Published maximum power | 205 hp at 12,650 rpm | 207.0 hp at 10,000 rpm |
| Published maximum torque | 88.3 lb-ft at 11,500 rpm | 101.0 lb-ft at 8,500 rpm |

| Rider assistance and convenience | Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), launch control and quick shift are listed; equipment varies by trim | Adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, TPMS, KIPASS and TFT/SPIN features are described by Kawasaki |

For Ducati’s official model information, see the 2025 Streetfighter V4 specification page. Kawasaki’s U.S. figures come from its 2026 Ninja H2 SX SE ABS specification sheet.
Power and engine character: what the figures do—and do not—tell you
On the published numbers, Kawasaki lists a slightly higher peak output and substantially higher peak torque: 207.0 hp and 101.0 lb-ft, compared with Ducati’s 205 hp and 88.3 lb-ft. The Kawasaki figures also arrive at lower engine speeds—10,000 rpm for power and 8,500 rpm for torque—while Ducati lists 12,650 rpm and 11,500 rpm. That suggests different tuning priorities, but it does not prove which motorcycle accelerates harder in a particular gear or feels stronger on the road.

It is also very quick to remove, there is a small bump on the coaster, pinch it and you can easily remove the coaster. - 100% Satisfaction: Our products have quality assurance, if you have questions or are not satisfied after receiving the product, don't worry, please contact us as soon as possible, we provide after-sales service.
Displacement and induction are also different. Ducati uses a 1,103 cc V4; Kawasaki uses a smaller 998 cc inline-four with a supercharger. Forced induction, gearing, vehicle mass, electronic maps, traction-control calibration, fuel load and testing conditions all influence acceleration. No controlled comparison of these two exact trims establishes a winner for 0–60 mph, quarter-mile performance, roll-on acceleration or top speed.
How to read the Ducati number
Ducati’s 205-hp figure belongs to the U.S. MY25 Streetfighter V4 specification. The company’s announcement describes the motorcycle as a superbike stripped of its fairings and quotes a 417-pound weight, along with 99 lb of downforce at 167 mph from the biplane wings. Those are Ducati’s own stated figures and promotional characterization, not independent measurements. The announcement is available at Ducati’s November 28, 2024 introduction.
How to read the Kawasaki number
Kawasaki’s 207.0-hp and 101.0-lb-ft figures apply to the 2026 U.S. Ninja H2 SX SE ABS specification sheet. Because the Kawasaki is a faired sport tourer and the Ducati is a naked motorcycle, wind protection and aerodynamic load can matter as much to real-world speed and fatigue as peak output. The official figures alone cannot quantify those effects.

The Streetfighter’s naked layout leaves the rider more exposed to wind, and the reviewed Ducati material does not establish standard touring luggage. That does not make it unusable for travel, but it means you should verify wind protection, luggage brackets, passenger equipment and accessory availability with a dealer rather than assume the Ducati has the Kawasaki’s touring provisions.
Adaptive cruise control and blind-spot detection
These are meaningful distinctions for long highway days. Kawasaki describes adaptive cruise control as part of its advanced rider-assistance system and lists blind-spot detection. They are assistance features, not autonomous driving: the rider remains responsible for speed, lane position, traffic observation and braking. Ask the dealer which functions are enabled in your jurisdiction and whether their calibration or availability differs by market.
Luggage and carrying capacity
The UK page’s Tourer edition lists two 28-liter pannier inner bags. That is a package-specific statement, not proof that every 2026 H2 SX SE includes the same bags. The reviewed Streetfighter sources do not provide a comparable standard luggage volume. If commuting or two-up touring is central to your decision, compare the exact local trim and accessory list line by line.
Comfort, ergonomics and everyday use
Ducati says the revised Streetfighter ergonomics improve control and comfort, especially for taller riders. Its high, wide handlebar and naked bodywork create a different cockpit from the Kawasaki’s faired sport-tourer layout. The Ducati may appeal to riders who want a direct, upright-feeling connection and frequent aggressive road or track sessions; the Kawasaki’s fairing and touring-oriented feature set are aimed at reducing workload over distance.

There is no controlled comparative ergonomics test in the available material. Seat height, reach to the bars, knee angle, wind pressure, passenger comfort and heat management can vary with rider height, inseam, clothing and market-specific equipment. Sit on both motorcycles in riding gear and, where possible, arrange a test ride that includes the roads you actually use.
Questions to answer during a showroom fit check
- Can you place both feet securely enough for your normal stops and parking surfaces?
- Does the handlebar, tank and seat position keep your wrists and lower back comfortable after an hour?
- With your helmet and jacket, is wind pressure acceptable at your normal cruising speed?
- Can you operate the display, cruise controls and mode switches without looking down?
- If carrying a passenger, do the seat, grab points and luggage arrangement work for both riders?
Chassis, suspension and electronic hardware
The Streetfighter V4 and H2 SX SE both use sophisticated electronic support, but the systems are not interchangeable or directly ranked by the model names.
Ducati trim differences
Ducati’s base V4 and V4 S have different suspension equipment. The V4 S includes Öhlins Smart EC 3.0 electronically controlled suspension; do not describe that hardware as standard on the base V4. Ducati also lists Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO), launch control and quick shift in the Streetfighter equipment discussion. Confirm which functions and components belong to the exact V4 or V4 S you are pricing.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

The Ninja H2 SX SE uses Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension (KECS) with Showa Skyhook Technology. This is part of the SE specification cited in the comparison material. Suspension software, rider modes, preload settings and passenger or luggage loads can materially change the result, so a dealer setup for your weight and use is more useful than a brochure-only judgment.

Electronics are an operating decision
Advanced electronics can improve consistency and reduce workload, but they also add menus, settings and calibration choices. Before buying, learn how each motorcycle selects riding modes, adjusts traction or engine-braking support, operates launch or quick-shift functions, and displays warnings. A feature that is valuable on a tour is irrelevant if you dislike the interface or cannot access the setting easily with gloves.
Maintenance and ownership information currently established
Ducati’s U.S. MY25 page gives concrete scheduled-service intervals for the base Streetfighter V4: oil service every 7,500 miles (12,000 km) or 12 months, and valve-clearance checks every 15,000 miles (24,000 km). These are scheduled intervals, not a complete estimate of ownership cost. Labor rates, consumables, tires, insurance, registration, financing and unscheduled repairs are not included.
The reviewed Kawasaki sources do not establish comparable maintenance intervals or service costs. Do not call either motorcycle cheaper to maintain, more reliable or less expensive to insure based only on the published specifications. Ask each local dealer for the maintenance schedule, labor estimates and parts pricing for the exact model year and trim.

Price and market availability
Kawasaki Motors Corp., U.S.A.’s 2026 specification sheet lists an MSRP of $29,999 for the Ninja H2 SX SE ABS. Kawasaki’s UK model page separately lists a starting price of £25,649. Those prices belong to different markets and must not be converted into a global ranking. Taxes, registration, delivery, dealer fees, currency movements and equipment can change the transaction price.
A comparable current U.S. MSRP for the Ducati Streetfighter V4 was not established in the reviewed official material. Check Ducati’s current local configurator or dealer quotation before comparing totals. Ducati also notes that specifications and equipment may vary by market, so confirm whether the motorcycle offered to you matches the MY25 U.S. specification used for the numeric comparison.

| Long highway days and integrated assistance | Ninja H2 SX SE | Its stated sport-touring mission includes adaptive cruise control, blind-spot detection, TPMS and touring-oriented display functions. |
| Peak published torque | Ninja H2 SX SE | Kawasaki lists 101.0 lb-ft at 8,500 rpm versus Ducati’s 88.3 lb-ft at 11,500 rpm. |
| Peak published power | Ninja H2 SX SE by the listed number | Kawasaki lists 207.0 hp; Ducati lists 205 hp. The figures are from different model years and markets and are not a road-test result. |

A practical buying process
- Identify the exact motorcycle. Write down model year, country, ABS specification, trim and any Tourer or Performance Tourer package. “Streetfighter V4” and “Ninja H2 SX SE” are not sufficient descriptions for a final quote.
- Set the use-case split. Estimate how much of your riding is commuting, weekend sport riding, track use, solo touring and two-up travel. A motorcycle optimized for one category can be tiring or expensive when used primarily in another.
- Compare the local equipment list. Verify fairing and wind protection, luggage, passenger hardware, cruise-control functions, blind-spot detection, TPMS, display connectivity and suspension components.
- Get a fit check and ride. Test low-speed balance, steering effort, wind load, brake feel, clutch or quick-shifter operation, display visibility and comfort in your normal gear.
- Request complete pricing. Include destination or delivery charges, taxes, registration, setup, accessories, luggage and protective equipment. Do not compare the Kawasaki’s U.S. MSRP with its UK price or with an unverified Ducati figure.
- Obtain service estimates. Ask for scheduled intervals and labor prices in writing. Use Ducati’s published 7,500-mile oil and 15,000-mile valve-check intervals as a reference for the base MY25 V4, not as a proxy for total ownership cost.
What this comparison cannot honestly decide
The available official information does not establish controlled acceleration, lap times, braking distances, fuel economy for matched U.S. trims, real-world rider comfort, insurance cost, resale value or total maintenance cost. It also does not provide a same-market current Ducati MSRP alongside Kawasaki’s 2026 U.S. price. Those questions require independent testing or current local quotations.
That limitation does not make the choice impossible. The manufacturers’ intended uses are clear enough to guide the first decision: Ducati for a naked superbike-style experience, Kawasaki for a faired, supercharged sport-tourer with a broader published convenience package. Final selection should follow a local trim check, physical fit and a ride on the roads you plan to use.
