But it is not simply the old car with a new name: launched in March 2025, it brings a new CXV bonded-aluminium platform, revised design details and practical equipment. Its specifications also vary sharply by model and market, from the UK six-cylinder car to the US four-cylinder version and the later Supersport 400.
What looks familiar—and what has changed?
Morgan calls the Supersport “Unmistakably Morgan, yet more contemporary and minimalist in its design,” while describing it as an evolution in design, dynamics and refinement. That is a manufacturer characterization, but it captures the balance: the recognizable Morgan silhouette remains, while the engineering beneath it has moved on.
The Supersport is built on Morgan’s CXV bonded-aluminium platform. Morgan says the platform enhances dynamic capability; the car is therefore more than a visual refresh or a rebodied predecessor. The launch was on 11 March 2025, and the car was available to order at that time. Morgan’s Supersport model description outlines the design and platform.
Which Supersport are you looking at?
“Morgan Supersport” now covers distinct specifications, not one globally uniform car. The UK six-cylinder model, the 2026 Supersport 400 and the US-market four-cylinder car differ in engine, output, equipment, price and certification status.

The figures are not directly interchangeable: they describe different versions and markets. The US car’s four-cylinder engine and stated output are not the UK six-cylinder specification. The UK figures and dated price come from Morgan’s March 2025 options list and technical specification. Morgan’s 2026 Supersport 400 announcement and model information supply that variant’s figures. How do the 2025 UK car and Supersport 400 differ?
Powertrain and performance
The UK six-cylinder car pairs a 3.0-litre BMW turbo inline-six with an eight-speed automatic. Morgan lists 335 bhp and 369 lb-ft (500 Nm), with a 0–62 mph time of 3.8 seconds and a 166 mph top speed. Its listed fuel economy is 37 mpg combined and emissions are 175 g/km CO₂. Morgan says those economy and emissions figures were recorded under EU legislation for comparison; actual results can vary with use, wheel fitment and options. Performance figures carrying a certification caveat should be treated accordingly.

The Supersport 400 is the higher-output, separately announced 2026 version. Morgan states 402 bhp and 0–62 mph in 3.6 seconds, with a 180 mph top speed. It uses a BMW B58 ‘O1’ inline-six and an eight-speed automatic. Morgan’s technical information marks some performance figures as pending final certification, so they should not be read as independently verified test results.
Chassis-related equipment
On the Supersport 400, the Dynamic Handling Pack is standard, as are forged 19-inch Sportlite wheels. A limited-slip differential is optional. These are specified features of the 400; they should not be assumed to come with every Supersport or every market version.

What changes on the US-market car?
Morgan announced US availability from July 2026, excluding California, after NHTSA authorization under Replica Vehicle legislation. The US-market car has a federally approved BMW B46 2.0-litre inline-four, rated by Morgan at 255 bhp and 258 lb-ft (350 Nm). That is a different engine and output from the UK six-cylinder model. Morgan USA lists a 2,520 lb (1,143 kg) weight pending final certification and a starting price of $119,995 before sales tax and destination. Those US-market details should not be used as a proxy for UK specifications or pricing.

Morgan’s launch material describes an interchangeable soft top and hard top, a rear boot and a revised side-screen mounting mechanism. The cabin and convenience equipment listed include Bluetooth hands-free calling, Sennheiser audio and wireless phone charging. However, Morgan’s UK options list shows that some equipment is optional, so availability depends on specification and market rather than being guaranteed across the range.

Roof, wheels and accessories
The UK options list includes both 18-inch and 19-inch wheel setups, with corresponding tire fitments. For the 18-inch setup, Morgan lists Michelin Pilot Sport 5 tires in 235/45R18 at the front and 255/45R18 at the rear; other 19-inch fitments are also listed. Check the vehicle’s tire placard or dealer specification before buying replacements, because wheel setup and market determine the correct fitment.
Listed accessories include a hard-top storage bag, mohair hood storage bag, battery conditioner, indoor and outdoor car covers, and a luggage rack. Morgan cautions that aftermarket accessories may not be homologated in all markets and may involve fitting charges. Confirm compatibility and local approval with a Morgan dealer before ordering.

What do the prices and figures mean for a buyer?
- UK six-cylinder car: £105,160 was the on-the-road starting price in Morgan’s March 2025 list. It is a dated UK figure, not a current or global quote; Morgan advises checking with a dealer because prices and availability can change.
- Supersport 400: Morgan announced £112,965 plus local market taxes in 2026. Taxes and final availability depend on market.
- US-market car: Morgan USA lists a price from $119,995 before sales tax and destination; the page was accessed in 2026.
These prices refer to different dates and markets, so they do not establish a like-for-like current price comparison. Likewise, Morgan’s stated performance figures are manufacturer specifications, not independent road-test results. Confirm current equipment, certification, price and delivery availability with a dealer for the exact car and country.
