Is the Ram 1500 Ramcharger the same SUV?
No. The Ram 1500 Ramcharger is a later pickup that reuses the Ramcharger name; it is not a third generation of the classic two-door Dodge SUV. Stellantis announced it in 2023 as a range-extended Ram 1500. In a 2024 corporate update, the company said its launch timing had moved ahead of the Ram 1500 REV and forecast U.S. orders in the first half of 2025. That forecast does not establish whether the pickup is available to buy in October 2026; check current Ram information for retail status.

These are figures from Stellantis’ November 7, 2023 announcement, not verified real-world results. The company described the truck with promotional language, including the claim of “unlimited battery-electric range”; that phrasing is not an independent test finding.

Ram says authentic parts and accessories, dealer service, and owner manuals may be available for the discontinued SUV. Availability is not guaranteed for every year or vehicle, so ask a dealer or parts supplier to confirm the exact application. Mopar names Classic Industries as a partner for officially licensed restoration products and lists sheet metal, tailgates, grilles, and trim moldings for 1980 and earlier models. Check stock and fitment before relying on a listing. Mopar’s Classic Industries information describes that specific restoration coverage.
Choose a manual that matches the vehicle
Haynes lists a print and online Dodge Ramcharger and Trailduster manual covering 1974–1993. Its stated subjects include maintenance, engine, fuel, electrical, transmission, driveline, brakes, suspension, steering, body, and wiring diagrams. Haynes says the manual does not include diesel-specific information, so diesel owners should not assume that its procedures cover their engine.

Use catalog ranges as a starting point, not a fitment guarantee
LMC Truck’s 2026 catalog lists Dodge Ramcharger 1/2-ton, 3/4-ton, and 1-ton applications for 1972–1993. The catalog states that its prices are valid July 23 through October 21, 2026; check the current catalog and availability if ordering outside that period. Its listed range begins before the classic SUV’s 1974 U.S. model-year start, so a catalog range alone should not be treated as proof that every listed year represents the same vehicle. LMC Truck’s catalogs are the place to verify current listings and application details.
