Forza Horizon’s online co-op and shared-world features are not the same as playing together on one screen.
Which Forza game supports split-screen?
Forza Motorsport 7 is the directly confirmed choice. Its official Xbox listing identifies “Xbox local co-op (2-2)” and “Shared/split screen,” establishing local play for two people on Xbox.
The listing names Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S among its platforms. It also says, “Features may vary between Xbox One and Windows 10 versions of game.” The documented split-screen support is on Xbox; the listing does not establish that the Windows PC version has the same feature. Check the platform and edition before buying.
Does Forza Horizon have couch co-op?
Official materials for Forza Horizon 5 and Forza Horizon 6 describe online multiplayer, co-op, or shared-world play, but do not claim local split-screen on one console. Those modes let players connect online; they should not be taken as evidence that two people can race side by side on the same screen.

Likewise, “multiplayer” by itself does not tell you whether a game supports local play. For the newer Forza Motorsport, Turn 10’s 2023 description covers Featured Multiplayer, Private Multiplayer, and Rivals as online modes; it does not verify couch split-screen.
What to check before choosing a game
- Playing on one Xbox: The Xbox listing confirms two-player local split-screen for Forza Motorsport 7.
- Playing on Windows PC: Do not assume the Xbox feature carries over; the listing warns that Xbox One and Windows 10 features may differ without spelling out a separate PC split-screen ruling.
- Looking at a Horizon game: Its online co-op or shared-world features are not confirmation of local split-screen.
- Buying or setting up: Confirm platform and edition with the seller. The listing does not specify controller or account setup requirements, and it does not establish current stock or price.
Does this mean Forza Motorsport 7 is the only Forza game with split-screen?
No such complete conclusion is established here. Forza Motorsport 7 is the confirmed answer, but the available official materials do not verify every older Motorsport title or prove that it is the only Forza game ever to offer split-screen.

For context, Forza Support’s series overview distinguishes Forza Motorsport 7 from Forza Motorsport 6 and the Horizon games, but it is not a full historical inventory of local multiplayer features. Also, the official closure notice says online services for Forza Horizon and Forza Horizon 2 ended on August 22, 2023, while their single-player portions remain available to existing owners. That notice concerns online services, not split-screen support.
