It built on DMC’s Molto Veloce Stage One kit and was advertised with 900 hp, but the report supplied no acceleration or top-speed estimate for the conversion.
What was the DMC Aventador LP900 SV?
The LP900 SV was DMC’s proposed, limited-run upgrade for the Lamborghini Aventador, positioned as the second stage of a tuning program. Buyers first had to purchase the Molto Veloce Stage One package; the LP900 SV was not presented as a standalone conversion. New Atlas’s December 12, 2012 report described the package and its planned offer.
The name’s “900” reflects DMC’s reported output claim. It should not be read as an independently verified dynamometer result: the article attributes 900 hp to the package but does not document a test.
What changed from Molto Veloce Stage One?
Stage One established the bodywork and engine-upgrade foundation; Stage Two added further parts and changes for the LP900 SV. The available period descriptions present the packages as successive steps, not as two independently tested performance levels.

New Atlas also identified a titanium exhaust on the LP900 SV. The description of a 12-throttle-plate engine change appears in both the Stage One and Stage Two accounts, so it is best understood as part of the tuning progression rather than evidence of two separate, quantified output gains.
How much power did it make, and how fast was it?
DMC’s LP900 SV was reported at 900 hp. That is a published package claim, not a performance result independently established by the cited coverage. New Atlas did not give a conversion-specific acceleration time or top speed. Any stock Aventador figures mentioned in the original article refer to the standard car, not a test of the DMC package.

How many were planned, and who could buy one?
New Atlas reported that DMC planned to offer 10 LP900 SV examples. Prospective customers had to buy the Molto Veloce Stage One kit, apply separately and satisfy DMC’s approval criteria. The article quoted DMC Germany marketing manager Thorsten Grebers: “Money is not the issue for our clients,” and “This is a kit that you can’t get by using your credit card.”
The same report put the historical total for the listed Stage One and Two components at more than €75,000, on top of the donor Aventador. That is a 2012 estimate, not a current quote or evidence that the package can still be ordered.

Was the LP900 SV the same as DMC’s later LP988?
No. The LP988 Edizione GT was a separate DMC announcement covered by evo in 2014. Evo said full engine details had not been released. Its name and estimated power figure should not be substituted for the LP900 SV’s reported 900-hp claim.
