DJI entered the electric mountain-bike market at Eurobike 2024 with Avinox, its e-bike drive system, fitted to the Amflow PL full-suspension eMTB. DJI highlighted a compact motor, two battery capacities and connected controls; the headline specifications are manufacturer claims, not independent test results.
What DJI unveiled at Eurobike 2024
DJI’s July 3, 2024 announcement introduced Avinox as a drive system for electric mountain bikes and the Amflow PL as its first named bike. DJI said its experience with batteries and motor technology informed the move. Christina Zhang, DJI’s senior director of corporate strategy, described that rationale in the launch announcement; that statement explains DJI’s motivation, not evidence of the system’s performance.
The launch page specified a 2.52 kg drive unit and 105 N·m of torque, plus 600 Wh and 800 Wh battery options. DJI also said the 800 Wh battery could reach 75% charge in 1.5 hours. These are DJI’s published figures from 2024; the company says its data were measured under controlled conditions and actual experience may vary. They should not be read as independent measurements or as a promise of a particular ride range.
How the Avinox system is presented to riders
Assistance and controls
Amflow describes Auto assistance, Boost mode and Walk mode, alongside app-connected features for system customization. In its July 30, 2025 U.S. announcement, Amflow specified 120 N·m in Boost mode and included a controlled-conditions qualification. That later figure describes a mode-specific manufacturer rating; it is not directly interchangeable with the 105 N·m torque figure in DJI’s 2024 system launch.

Battery and charging
The 600 Wh and 800 Wh choices were listed by DJI when Avinox launched in 2024. The 1.5-hour figure applies specifically to charging the 800 Wh battery to 75%, under DJI’s stated controlled conditions. The announcement does not establish a real-world charging time for every outlet, battery temperature or use condition.
Amflow’s official store lists a 508W Avinox charger and identifies compatibility with Avinox M1 and Amflow PL Carbon models. The listing says the AC power cable is not included; check the exact model, connector and regional store details before ordering. Its existence does not establish that the charger is available through Amazon or any particular retailer.

U.S. availability and price came later
The original reveal was in July 2024, but U.S. availability for the Amflow PL Carbon and PL Carbon Pro was announced later. Amflow’s July 30, 2025 U.S. announcement listed launch prices of $7,499 for the PL Carbon and $10,199 for the PL Carbon Pro. Those are dated manufacturer prices, not guaranteed current prices.
Amflow also described initial availability in Germany, Australia and the United Kingdom, followed by Spain, France, Italy and Belgium in early 2025. Its official specifications page now presents 2026 configurations, including FOX suspension components and the Avinox M1 drive unit. Configuration, displayed price and stock depend on the regional page and can change; the store page reviewed showed certain sizes out of stock in its own store context, which does not mean the bike is unavailable everywhere.

What the launch claims do—and do not—tell you
The specifications establish what DJI and Amflow say the system offers, but they do not settle how the Amflow PL compares with another eMTB on a trail. The sources cited here do not provide a matched independent comparison, long-term reliability findings, or a universal current-stock picture. For a buying comparison, line up the same kinds of figures across models: manufacturer-rated torque and peak output, battery capacity, charging time, complete-bike weight, suspension and geometry, price, frame sizing, and local service support. Keep the model year and region consistent, and distinguish manufacturer ratings from independently measured results.
For safety, Amflow’s owner manual calls for a pre-ride check and a properly fitted helmet worn according to the helmet maker’s instructions and applicable standards. If inspection reveals damage or a problem, the manual advises consulting an authorized retailer for a complete inspection.
